Just a quick observation from me : This morning when I logged in for the first time, I saw the total tickets sold for the Lottery was about 800,000,000+ and just a few hours {2 hours} before the draw, it jumped up with 200,000,000 tickets. I will watch this more closely from now on, to see when the most tickets are bought. It average about 100,000,000 tickets per day. Freebitco.in has some great Website Stats, but I do not see any stats on the Lottery. Last Weeks total tickets for the draw was 1,000,923,029 and we are already at 1,028,958,943 tickets with 1hour 30min to go to the draw. Last Week 10.00923029 BTC was spend on Lottery tickets and a total of 2.65515091 BTC was paid out to Lottery Winners. {Only 1/3 of the money goes towards lottery prizes} It's complicated because not all the tickets are bought and we give away most of the tickets. So 10.00923029 BTC was not spent on the lottery. We actually run it at a loss to attract people to the site. This week we put in a restriction on redeeming reward points for the top levels of Free BTC bonus on accounts that don't wager or wager very little. It looks like lots of accounts have redeemed for 100 lottery tickets per free roll instead.

Well someone are definitely buying very close to the draw, because 2 BTC worth of tickets were bought about 2 hours before the draw was done. Yes, most of the entries might be coming from FREE ROLL and REWARDS but a spike like that cannot be from FREE ROLLS and Rewards ... In any way, there are 30 minutes to the DRAW and 1,041,914,195 tickets was bought/entered so far.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying that isn't the case, I was trying to answer your criticism of "Only 1/3 of the money goes towards lottery prizes" when we actually put more into the prize pool than we take from ticket sales. Those increased sales this week have boosted the payout pool and... damn it I missed the end.... but the total payout will be much higher this week.
Edit: https://twitter.com/freebitco/status/10109127924198154241,050,793,433 TICKETS! So I've got ticket numbers 19,065 to 19,810. Now just waiting on block 529054.
Edit 2: This morning when I logged in for the first time, I saw the total tickets sold for the Lottery was about 800,000,000+ and just

Actually I am going to argue that. I was talking to wetsuit via email this morning because I had some question about how this works and I wrote an email timestamped 9 hours ago that there were 958,692,240 tickets. 1,050,793,433 - 958,692,240 = 92,101,193 in 9 hours not 200,000,000 in 2 hours.

Hmm, I never seem to have any luck with the lottery here even when I have a lot of tickets. I have been in here since 2015 and in that time I haven't won a single prize so my luck is very bad lol I don't mind as I know winning any lottery is very hard with the massive odds against us but it would of been nice to at least win something in the 3 years I've been in here.

I'm the same. Registered three years ago just before making this bitcointalk account and still haven't won anything. Even winning the smallest prize there would be quite a nice change. Hopefully the build up for both of us is that we're going to win the top prize instead at some point.

What do you mean a lot of tickets? Are you saying that you are getting it from the freerolls? I do not think that freerolls ticketd will work since you can only get just little from there. Time does not related to anything on the lottery actually, what you really need is luck, and if you want to spend more it will of course boost your luck but the point is are you willing to do it? s Spend something that you will not know the result?

So let me get this straight. You're trying to encourage people to use something that you yourself have admitted is completely impossible to win yet you want them to blow their cash using a rigged service in an attempt to win maybe 0.001% of what they would have to spend in order to make the top 10 or whatever? (5% house edge is more than rigged, it's outrageous lol, then again all casinos are snakes) What kinda snake are you anyway? I was thinking maybe king cobra, but now, idk. Maybe you're a different species, like megalodon or something. When I signup for a raffle, I expect to pay maybe 1-10 bux and have a small chance win maybe 100 to 1000x what I paid. I dont buy tickets for $100-$1000 in hopes to win a half a penny.

Yet again you are completely wrong, at least you are consistent. What I said is you need luck to win and no betting system can change that. Gambling on random numbers is simply about getting lucky, nothing more or less. Plenty of people do win.

Spoken like a true snake. Trying to ignore the fact that the game is rigged in the houses favor lol. You failed to see the point. The point is that to win a contest like this you'd literally have to spend multitude times MORE than what you'd actually stand to win. It's like going out and buying a raffle ticket for 10K USD with a 1% chance of winning a half a penny. If this were for a CHARITY, ok, I might be able to see doing that... but for a for profit business? erm. WTF. LMAO.

Trying to ignore the fact that the game is rigged in the houses favor lol. It's a casino so there is a house edge which makes the odds in the house's favour. That's how casinos work. Congratulations on working that out it must make you feel like an intellectual giant.

Which is exactly why all casinos with a house edge are evil. And dont try to tell me that ALL casinos have a house edge either. Because they dont lol. I know that freebitco started out that way and edgeless.io is STILL that way along with several others. Now, if this thing had 0 house edge, maybe this would be an interesting competition. But it doesnt. So its not interesting at all and is just a cash grab from freebitco to try and sucker people into betting more than they should under the guise that they might win something worth while (which is a total lie since they'd have to spend more than any of the prizes are even worth in order to have a chance in hell to place). The only way anyone would be able to win something like this, is if they used a bot like mine in order to rack up huge wager amounts without losing it all at the same time. I wont be one bit surprised if one of my bot users accidentally wins this stupid competition without even realizing it. Some of them put retarded amounts into it that not even I would have the gonads to do. But at least they dont lose their ass using it.

First of all nobody is forcing you to take part in the contest, its for the people that gamble anyway, regardless of there being a special prize or not. Secondly most people are aware about the house edge and rather slim chances in the lottery, not a secret. Looks like a new trend in emerging, Bitcoin Justice Warrior it was simply a matter of time. Is there any approximate date of the service transition from faucet to exchange? Was said "later this year", can we have more details? Does it mean that we have to say bye bye to lotteries, free-rolls, RP's etc? So many questions, so much impatience

Looks like a new trend in emerging, Bitcoin Justice Warrior it was simply a matter of time. He is just trying to spam the Youtube channel in his signature. He made such a specular fool of himself when he tried to argue that the lottery wasn't provably fair he's gone with 'casinos are evil' this time as it is an opinion rather than fact-based argument. Facts are not his strong point. Is there any approximate date of the service transition from faucet to exchange? Was said "later this year", can we have more details? Does it mean that we have to say bye bye to lotteries, free-rolls, RP's etc? So many questions, so much impatience In about 5 or 6 months is the current estimate. The entire codebase is being rewritten from the ground up so it's difficult to know exactly how long that will take. We don't plan to remove anything, just add new things.
