What are the chances they could actually shut down their webpage and allow someone else out there to acquire the name of their website? It sounds quite crazy they could allow someone else to take over their brand so easily, so I consider it is more reasonable to believe they will renew their url name and continue to run the site, as much time as possible while there are people willing to deposit, either because ignorance or the good name and reputation which is left after so many years providing good services.

Someone please keep us updated with the status of their webpage and whether it goes offline or not.

Even if extreme negligence was apparent and the domain name did lapse, as Google did briefly years ago then it would still not likely fall into use by others.
  As I understand it an established brand gets to own their own domain name, legally the domain could be reclaimed back to the company that held it for so long.  I think thats just what courts would enforce, going on what I've read previously for 'missing' or errant domains.
  Basically cybersquatting isnt a viable outcome as soon as its contested.   I see goldmansachs666 still exists but Im not sure they paid him off or managed to win control of the website name for being similar.

Both are still ignorance, a person who is still depositing funds to this casino even in its current state is simply ignorant of all what is happening and the complains of other users, change is a constant thing and unfortunately, freebitco have changed, they have lost their reputation not minding the good work they did and how they have contributed greatly to the circulation and adoption of bitcoin that is doing very well today.

And speaking of the possibility of them selling this domain name to other people out there who could use the name to build another business, well, it's possible but I feel they won't do this, I believe those behind the site are wealthy enough to keep this site running for as long as possible..
Maybe in the future, they will still come around again, fix everything and continue operating normally again.

They won't claim the domain.
They won't issue payments.
The last thing they want is to go to any court or have anything shown publicly.

Today, an ad for freebitcoin appeared on https://www.coinpayu.com/.
They're crazy. They don't pay out and are trying to attract new clients to make deposits.

It may have been an affiliate that already had an ad, and used the rest of their credits to promote the ad.

Yep, most likely, some user decided to promote a referral link to the freebitcoin site in this way. It's a strange decision, and I don't quite understand how a user promoting a referral link and expecting to receive referral payments could be unaware of what is currently happening with the site.

Besides that I do think that it once was a trusted site but became a very obscure one during the past year.

Just like most of us I do have some withdrawals stuck. But in the past they did pay out. I even won the weekly lottery once, which was paid out.

Don't get upset, not everyone is a native English speaker. It doesn't seem like the user you mentioned is writing just to increase their post count. He isn't wearing a paid signature. Rather, he is a forum user who hasn't been here in a while and has come to share their experience in the thread just by skimming through some of the latest posts.

And what does honest mean in this case, that you've only waited 10 days for a payment you were supposed to get in 15 minutes?

It's just silly to contribute to the conversation and run counter to what literally everyone's experience is. There's not a mix of people who are and aren't getting paid, no one has been paid for MONTHS, so chiming in with "well, I only haven't been paid for 10 days so maybe you all are the liars and not the site". I mean, come on. You're practically just rage baiting at that point.

The domain is going to be expired after 4-5 hours and I guess that will shut their mouth up if the site cannot be logged on, or even accessed

I looked up what auto renew period means, since with a typical renewal I would just expect the status to be ‘active’, and apparently the registry can initiate the renewal on their own to give the current website owner time to pay the renewal cost. I am guessing FreeBitco.in has no intention of returning to normal operations and at some point they will go offline, either when the grace period to make the renewal payment lapses or when the registrar realizes users are getting scammed and takes action before then.

Interesting. Yep the domain is indeed set to expire today. They will have a 1 month grace period to re-register the domain before it officially expires and goes up for grabs... this is a standard policy employed by domain registrars. I'm thinking that however serious freebitco.in's problems may be, they will still find some time to re-register the domain within the next 30 days. If I'm wrong, oh boy. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
