The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Hi, I've got a couple transactions that have been stuck at Unconfirmed for about 12 hours now. My client is up-to-date, (as of yesterday), I've "Downloaded Blocks", any other ideas to get them confirmed? I have 23 active connections to the network. The txids are d17817deefad1af0380b5a73255222bf52c96a38239ca2c9086bbe48b573a38e-001 and d17817deefad1af0380b5a73255222bf52c96a38239ca2c9086bbe48b573a38e-000, if anyone who knows more wants to check them out.
Thanks in advance! d

Hey, fellow crypto geeks! Would like your opinions:
Us Australians face high electricity costs, so solo mining became untenable for us two years ago. Gridcoin (although still small-cap) has entirely satisfactory price-charts.
So, factoring in the setting up, and general wear and tear on the equipment involved, could you, over time, still break even mining Grid?

As it seems, we are facing some transaction problems right now. Ill copy/paste this to our main thread on CCT ( https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/1331-new-coin-launch-announcement-grc-gridcoin/page-923#entry192774)

Actually I am somewhere in the range of break-even mining with my desktop in Germany, ~0.35 USD/kWh. But it is still a bit complex to do so because we have a limit on what one wallet and BOINC ID can generate. Which is why I have 6 of them on one desktop The limit will be gone when the next mandatory comes out! The new payment feature is called Research Age and is currently tested in our testnet. Of course we all hope the price will rise (which is happening slowly) so mining becomes feasable BUT you have to count in that equation that mining Gridcoin means researching so its meaningful, even if the price for 1 GRC was 0 USD.

WOW, 0.35 USD/kWh??? That is very very expensive. Hey, fellow crypto geeks! Would like your opinions:

This is almost 3x what it is in the USA. I know gas is also much more expensive in Europe. Most vehicles just use natural gas for daily driving. here as well... many countries in europe have such high electricity costs.

Morning, fellow krypto geeks. Nice initial response.
Don't know the the actual thingies-per-whatsit equation, but yeh, IMZ has picked up over time that electricity costs vary wildly from place to place, and Western Australia is expensive.
Thanks so much for your help. We gonna pop in in a couple months, and check things out again.
If we can do you guys a solid here in Oz, PM me.

Yeah, but the GRC price is rising. At least on Bittrex So the mining I do now will be worth it in the end!
