Normally, it shouldn't take to long, but they are experiencing a VERY high number of new users and deposits. They are in the process of upgrading, or they have upgraded, their servers to handle to new volume of transactions. I'd suggest putting in a support ticket(currently about 1000 in queue) and waiting it out. It will get there.

Good to see everything seems to be running reasonably smoothly and it's great to see some new miners on the pool. The new difficulty algorithm appears to be doing its job and keeping the multipools at bay. Looking at Hashcows last 30 rounds they haven't mined the coin once whereas before they were on the coin all the time.

Honestly, I'm glad they're out of the picture. I have noticed that some rounds are going really long, but overall it has been smooth running. The first jackpot is this Saturday. If you're not sure if you are eligible for the jackpot, check out the second post of this thread regarding the jackpot system. The way we're sitting right now, I'm thinking the first jackpot will be at least 40TAG. Make sure you stay connected, miners. You don't want to miss out on this one! -Fuse

Btw guys. never use a Cisco Firewall in combination with TAGwallets. Bad choice.

Would love to win that jackpot... I should qualify as I have had my miners running pretty much 24/7.
Been interesting...
I started mining this pool with a single 7790 at 240kh/s... pounded away at this pool for a week or so... not much to show for it... then Fuse sent me a nice gift for my persistence.
About a week ago I brought my son's big gaming PC online whenever I could and upped my hash-rate to around 600Kh/s when he was not playing games.
Yesterday I took the 7790 off-line and stuck a 280X in my computer... current hash-rate of 1Mh/s... yoo hooo!!!
If all goes to plan there will be a dedicated double 280X mining rig coming online in the few days and I plan to be tackling this pool with more the 2Mh/s!!!!
All credit goes to Fuse for encouraging me to persist until I started to see some progress and profit... my goal is to mine and hold 1000 TagCoins in the next few months.
With the dedication and innovation of the TagCoin admin team, I believe that we will see TagCoin be worth more than $50 ea... that will be a nice ROI.

Sounds like a plan. I run now 3xHD6990. When my new mb arrive of course. Because my last one died. The price of TAG was a few days ago 1 bitcoin for 300 TAG, sow i think TAG will be oke. I mine TAG and GLD at the moment. Both nice and profiteble. Finally got my ASIC from BFL and it is shit now because the difficulty is to high.

My ping is 100+ to the server and I am on the east coast. The server is in NY? The pool servers that are in Kansas I ping 30! Yea, I am nitpicking.

Just woke up. Stayed home today from work because of a nasty bug going around. I feel like I got hit by a truck, so hang with me if I don't make sense on this cold medicine.
I've noticed higher ping times too. It's a result of the higher pool numbers we're experiencing of course. I have already started beta testing getting a East coast and European stratum node up and running. I'm waiting to flip the switch until I can insure that everything is secure and working properly. So I'm one step ahead of the problem, but 2 steps behind my own personal schedule with work, family, and whatnot. Bear with me and this will happen... I promise.
The jackpot funds are looking quite good at the moment. I'm toying with the idea of breaking it up into 3 winners, with a 50%/30%/20% payout to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. At this point, that would be about 30TAG, 18TAG, and 12TAG. Still a decent payout for everyone. These numbers are only going to get bigger this week, so keep that in mind as well. Let me know what you guys think about it, and if it sounds good to everyone, I'll modify the jackpot info post.
I'm going to go eat something now and hope it doesn't come back up.

Not sure how the pings will workout for me as I am in Sydney, Australia... maybe I need to find a pool with a server that is closer...which is not my first choice at all... for the moment ping has seemed to stabilised between about 65ms and 200ms... with median of about 85ms. The jackpot funds are looking quite good at the moment. I'm toying with the idea of breaking it up into 3 winners, with a 50%/30%/20% payout to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Actually that sound like a grand idea... spend the winning around abit. I am hoping to bring a double 280X miner online by tomorrow afternoon... should be able to comfortably get about 1.4Mh/s from it, combined with the rest of the PC's will give us about 2Mh/s or so.

What happened to the server???
Suddenly all shares rejected... restarted one miner and now cgminer shows shares accepted, but I have no 'active workers'.... going to restart other miner..
Sorry for hitting the panic button!!!

We were good until we hit this round. Not sure what happened. I restarted Tagcoind and stratum and we're going again, but that's twice in the last week. I'll start parsing through the logs right now. *EDIT*- I found the issue, and I've started researching. It's a bug in stratum. There is some discussion on it, and supposed resolutions, but obviously those aren't working. I'll dig a little deeper and see what's happening, but for now we're ok.

Fuse,
Sorry for the panic... I was sitting here at the computer watching and tweaking when everything went down! If I would have been at work, I would have never known. I really need to set-up a fail-over pool. Just not sure which pool would be the best one to use as some of the pools are dead that are listed in the post#1 of the TagCoin thread.
Thanks!!

No worries, mate. I go into panic mode too when I see stuff like that! I'd recommend Hashfaster as a failover. They were the only pool besides Tagmining to stay open and stay updated during the fork issues. Not to say the other pools and pool ops wouldn't be any better, though. But I know that they were working just as hard as I was during the fork to make sure there was a place for miners to mine.

Yeah, the difficulty is getting up there. But just think when it's 6 months from now, and we're saying, "damn, I remember when it was 50" lol
On the topic of an AU stratum node... I'm open to the idea of putting one up, but I'd need to find a VPS solution to do it. I don't want to shell out for a dedicated server just for a stratum node. If you guys can find a cheap VPS that I can spin up in AU, I'll look into it. When I say cheap, I mean something I can fly under the radar and the wife wouldn't be like, "wtf are you buying in Australia?"
If they take btc, all the better.
