Just did a quick peek at all known tag pools, and congrats fuse, this one is the biggest of all the ones reporting data:

210MH - Tagmining.com
91 MH - tag.botpool.net
83 MH - tag.hashfaster.com
36 MH - tag.cryptopools.com
n/a - miner.coinedup.com/tag
n/a - tag.cryptopool.it
31 MH - tag.scryptmining.com
n/a - coinex.pw

Loving this low difficulty rate too.. in the low 20's.

We were at ~80MH this morning... I just got back from doing some work orders around the district, and came back to see this.  The Friday before I'm taking 2 weeks off for Xmas vacation and my birthday.  This made my year.  I'm really happy right now  Grin

I want to thank everyone for sticking with me through the downtime and issue we've had.  You guys are what make this pool what it is, so congrats to all of you.

I'm going to go try to wipe this smile off my face before I hurt my face muscles lol.

Changed to a standard line that points to this thread and forum.

Do you control what MPOS puts in the Miner's API? Right now it has hashrate, share rate, worker info, etc. Wondering if 'confirmed/unconfirmed' balance could be added..

Let me look into it and see what I can do.  I know there are a bunch of API calls that can be used.  If one of them has the payout info, I can see if I can just add the code for it into the worker API.

-Fuse

Added confirmed/unconfirmed/orphaned balances to the getuserstatus API call.  It just took me a little while to find where the heck they were hiding.  Well it didn't take me that long once I realised I should have just searched for them in the github repo to begin with (/facepalm).  It has been a long week!

So ready for the next two weeks off.  Spent all my vacation time, but it will be worth it.

Grabbed a couple of these to give them a shot: Prolimatech Ultra Sleek Vortex 14. They're 140mm, but only 15mm thick, so very slim. According to the specs, they're 0.1db quieter (18db) than the other ones I'm running, and they push 10CFM more air per fan.

I've got a couple of cards which, despite all efforts, just want to act silly and run hotter than the rest. I popped a pair of these on and moved the GPU more into the cold-air path, and dropped 5*C. Not bad. I'm sure part of that is being closer to the cold air, but I'd say the combined 20CFM of extra airflow definitely helps.

Cost twice as much as the Blue Vortex series, and the standard fan clips don't work (have to modify them a bit), so I can't see using them as the primary fan for my setup--but they certainly have a use. I'll get a few more just to have on hand.

Figured I'd share my experience.

Damn, Vesper... I'm going to have to start paying you for all this schooling.  U of Vesper.

Thanks, mate!

I just picked up some of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186079 I wish I would have seen these before I did  Embarrassed I was also thinking about picking up these http://www.frozencpu.com/products/21921/fan-383/Scythe_Slip_Stream_120mm_x_25mm_Fan_-_1900_RPM_SY1225SL12SH.html?tl=g36c435s1104

2nd Jackpot

Alrighty folks, here's the info:

There were 444 total rounds for the week.  To be eligible for this jackpot, you would have needed to submit shares to 75% of those rounds, equaling 333 rounds.  There were 15 people, including myself, who qualified for the jackpot.  This was out of 195 miners who mined on the pool this week.  The qualifying miners are as follows:

AFKMPEG
elloi
flywin
jebshka
johndec
kubur
mevecco
Namamonkee
ny2cafuse (not eligible of course)
TagCoinDaddy
TagThePinkPanther
totmacher12000
vesperwillow
wujizhu
zybqe177

This week's jackpot was a double jackpot purse carried over from last week due to the server issues we were having.  This week's and last week's total fees and donations equal roughly 175TAG.  I'm putting up 25TAG to round it out to 200TAG.  So half of that, the total jackpot purse, is 100TAG.  This might seem low compared to the first jackpot, and the fact that we've grown substantially.  However, the first jackpot covered 2 weeks of mining with a higher donation percentage from our early adopters and myself, and a 50TAG pay in by me to pad the wallet for the first couple weeks.  So going forward we should roughly be around a 100TAG jackpot payout.  If we are short, I will pay in to round it up to 100TAG, and if it is higher, I will leave it as is.

This week's winners are as follows:

1st place - totmacher12000  50TAG  - 2d12793fa014b7762c2d6792df5ff8853528ec9990a2d83fe8326361c4677e5a
2nd place - AFKMPEG           30TAG  - c12cca6f7061ac1bee8a68e6d9d211a4712fa747029b47b345b771822e88381e
3rd place - kubur                 20TAG  - 812c8df8d7f4a053698a4f4b17260057ce903bc7b18ebccb4e4d08b79ea09bc6

Payments will be sent shortly, and TXID numbers will be posted above.

Congratulations, miners!  Good luck to everyone next week!

Grats, totmacher.

I wanted to ask the active miners what they think about something.  It seems that unless we get more dedicated miners, we're going to have roughly the same group of people on the jackpot list every week.  Should I set the rule that if you win one week, you can't win the next week?  You could of course win the week after that though.

Pretty straight forward change... any ideas/concerns?

The coin behind it, or the jackpot system?

The coin comes from fees and donations.  The system is outlined in the second post of this thread.  But the TLDR version is if you submitted shares to at least 75% of all the rounds between midnight Sunday morning (00:00 UTC) and 12 noon Saturday afternoon (12:00 UTC), you're eligible for the jackpot.  The eligible miners are put into a spreadsheet and a random number function is called to select 3 miners, one after the other to find the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.  I might do a quarterly jackpot as well... but that's just a thought on a piece of scrap paper right now.  Like take all the miners that were eligible for the weekly jackpot, and if you were on the list at least 75% of the time for the quarter, you're eligible for the quarterly draw.  IDK though... just a thought.

Logo/Favicon design contest

I would like to have a logo and favicon design contest for the pool.  I've been thinking about doing a t-shirt or sticker or whatnot, as well as sprucing up the pool and the OP of this thread.  So here's some info:

I'd like a logo that would site in the OP of this thread and the news page on the pool.  That way when visitors come to this thread or the pool, that's the first thing they see.  It should be somewhere in the 500 - 700 pixel wide range.  I'd prefer the height to follow a 16:9 ratio, so an example size would be 600x337px.  The design has to be original to mining pools in general(not the crossed pickaxe and shovel logos), but does not need to be original artwork.  It can be a photoshopped mashup as long as it is aesthetically appealing and original to the mining community.  As far as style of the design, here's some things I like design wise:

  • WW2 Pinup girl art - I searched for an classic style pinup girl with a pickaxe and miners helmet, but had no luck.  It has to be the classic color and design of WW2 era pinups.
  • WW2 / cold war propaganda posters - mainly the Soviet industrialists style
  • Modern branding art - integrating the pool name into a shape or design

The favicon is the standard favicon size.  I'd like it to relate to the logo if possible.  You don't have to design both, but combined designs win extra points with me.

I have yet to decide on a reward, but I'm thinking 20-30TAG and a t-shirt or sticker if I decide to make them, plus credit on the pool and in the OP of this thread for bragging rights.

Anyone is welcome to participate in the contest, even if you are not a miner on the pool or a member of the TAG community.  This would be a good way to earn a little TAG if you're just getting started.

Ready, set, go!

I love WWII pin-up art... let me see if I can contribute anything.

Fuse... I remember seeing a WWII era poster with a lady using a jackhammer or similar in my travels over the years... will go back through the archives... check the Library of Congress.

So... What would be perfect would be:

1. A Rosie the riveter that looks like Betty Grable carrying a pickaxe whilst...
2. Marching alongside her sisters towards the glorious battle to save the motherland whilst..
3. Also holding Campbells soup cans.

All in landscape format with a tastefully designed Tagmining.com logo.  No problemo. Shocked  Swing by and pick it up Tuesday.  Tongue Tongue Tongue

Nice pool.  Moved my rigs over.  Hope to participate in this week's drawing Smiley

Also, thank you for not implementing a mobile front end of the site.  All the mobile front ends I've seen are cumbersome and lack the data I like to see when I'm checking up on the health of my miners.
