What do you think about bounty campaigns that announce their KYC check at the end of the campaign? Many bounty hunters simply don't want to do that and the bounty managers or the ICO teams get free promotion for their projects.

Is this fair?

Every bounty thread should clearly state, wether there will be a KYC or not. We should ask the admins for changing the rules regarding this issue.

What do you think?

KYC or know your customer, it is very important to those ICOs that they have doing kyc to those who are investing to them or to the bounty members. to know the identity of buyers to preventthe scamming and hacking of coins.

For me, its okay that the bounty manager opens that up before the start of the campaign. But when the bounty manager only announces that at the end of the campaign period, it will be a total disaster to those bounty hunters upon claiming their reward token. Not all bounty hunters already have a complete documents to passed the KYC. Also, the bounty managers will be prone to negative trust issues. We don't want to happen that right? Wink

This is a very shady thing to do. if they had indicated it at the beginning of the bounty campaign then there wouldn't be a problem since that way whoever signs up for the bounty knows exactly what they are getting into and what they have to do to get their reward. KYC isn't particularly bad in my opinion, just don't lie to people that are promoting your campaign.

It seems that this is a fraudulent reward activity, maybe just to deceive other people's data, even a real project, then will not grow! Because it's an act of dishonesty! Disgusting!

I find the situation when KYC requirement is announced just by the end of token sale is unfair. As for me, it is a warning signal/red flag regarding integrity of the project in general.

KYC is important I think because you tend to become more legal with regulatory stuffs. Remember that none of the companies want to face litigation in the end.

Bounties are payments for companies.
They need to fill in the administrations where they put there tokens.

It’s like an invoice or salary.. I think it is a good thing

No Signature right now...

I believe that it is unfair to demand the passage of KYC at the end of the project. This spoils the very idea of the anonymity of crypto currencies. There is also the danger of the leakage of personal information and documents to unknown persons, which is completely unacceptable.

That's the real risk. I'm sure some giveaways and icos aren't necessarily just in it for the money anymore... not directly. Very easy to set up a scam airdrop/bounty that requires KYC, with the sole idea of selling the data gathered.

All rules of the game must be announced before the game begins. This is true.
But we must understand that the organizers of many bounty campaigns indicate that they can change the rules and requirements for the participants. Therefore, it will be correct to ask about KYC for Bounty Hunters before participating in the bounty.
That makes the bounty hunter difficult. However. They still have many ways to cheat. I think KYC registration only to reduce greedy hunters

why so worrying about KYC? using KYC is not wrong, it is for security that no one will cheat of having multiple accounts but as a student, we have problems with the use of it because some requirements for the verification, we actually do not have, which make us no pay at the end of the campaign. We are struggle where to find valid ID, billing, business permits etc., because we are dependent with our parents. KYC will be big problem to us if every campaign required that. and it also reduce multiple accounts

What do you think?

Its obviously not fair especially to those people who can't pass KYC because of their citizenship, or country related issues.
I think that most bounties which announced KYC procedure recently, did it because of upcoming regulations and SEC being more active looking at ICO's and issued tokens.
There are also some greedy managers who might not tell you of KYC, and do it only at the end, so that people have less time to submit their documents and won't be getting any coins, luckily i haven't been in this situation, but i know that did happen few times.
Fully agree that KYC procedure should be announced at the beginning of the bounty program, so that the people won't be surprised at the end of the campaign.

In my opinion, this is not fair. Making changes in other requirements is not a problem for me, but why should we reveal our identity through a system that we know is not working? I doubt that people will reveal their true personal information to this company. If they decided to do KYC for bounty participants, they can not expect a good advertisement from them. Is this something what you want to “achieve” in this competitive environment? Probably not.

I don't have issue with a bounty campaign demanding for KYC, but coming up with this at the end of the campaign is what is actually disturbing. I will join a campaign willingly if I understand the rules of the game and not a for the developer to keep changing the rules. I think the campaign mangers need to see to this issue

Yes, this is one of the most infuriating things. I dislike doing KYC and I feel it should be known at the beginning of airdrop/bounty campaign.

I'm not against doing KYC, I just don't trust these companies with my personal information. Especially for 5 airdrop dollars.

I think it's fair. Kyc - the usual procedure, there is nothing wrong with that. For investors, Kyc is a mandatory procedure

I do not support KYC for bounty hunter.  I think the reason any campaign manager or project would ask for KYC from bounty hunter is simply to surcharge them and reduce or eliminate bounty hunter's reward in order to cheat them.

If am to suggest, before the bounty ever starts, it should b stated for hunters that their would either be KYC at the ebd of the campaign or not. It should be stated from the onset.

The idea of kyc is good so as to filter fake accounts as well and people that cheat the system
