"One of the unique features of Callisto is the ability to earn interest on held funds through a process called cold staking. In essence, with cold staking you are lending your funds to the network on a short-term basis and rewarded with Callisto, proportionate to the period of time you stake your funds and the amount of CLO in the reward pool, funded by the Callisto treasury."
It means you can place investments through CALLISTO?

Callisto Network Cold Staking Protocol

Cold staking is a protocol that rewards long-term coin holders for holding their coins.

Cold Staking is not related to Proof of Stake. It is not a consensus mechanism. Cold stakers has no rights in blocks generation or transaction confirming. They just receive interest for holding their coins.

No. This means that having a CLO you will be able to receive another CLO. In November, the program will be updated and this fugment will be available.

How many CLO coins does a single 1080 ti get you?

single 1080 ti will give you 35 mhz, up to 51 mhz for ethlargement pill. you can calculate through this link https://mining.alekseirubin.com/?coin=CLO&hashrate=51

You can get about 79 clo per day with 51 mhz and current diff. Diff always change, so the clo earned per day are vary

Very great and nice vision of Callisto Network their team really wants to provide more security network due to their smart contract ecosystem. Also their cold staking are really great and I really want to participate on it. Hope for the success of Callisto Network. ETC and CLO to the moon! Goodluck everyone.
They think that the main problem of Ethereum smart contracts is the lack of tools to make them secure that's why Callisto Network want to solve this problem and help a lot of people to have a secure and safe smart contract.
when say ethereum smart contract everybody used even they know there have some problem that's why the technology is getting advance to solve all those past problems Callisto network team experience that kind of problem so they create this hoping for the team not stop to make this project upgrade and solve all coming problem.
Ethereum classic is the the real Ethereum and it shows that they have the best smart contracts - Callisto network developer are experienced team they can handle this project and way better than any smart contracts out there. If you wish to follow their source code then you may proceed on their development on Github.com

Callisto Cold Staking protocol is written in solidity smart-contracts. The source code could be found here. The Cold Staking contract constantly receives a percentage of mining rewards and distributes this amount of CLO between cold stakers in proportion to their stake.

Due to smart-contract limitations, on-chain real-time computations are impossible. As a result, the reward for each staker is calculated in the moment of reward claiming.

The following set of rules determines the workflow of Cold Staking Contract:

1.The contract allows any address to become a Cold Stacker by depositing CLO.

2.After an address owner has deposited CLO into the Staking Contract the funds are locked for a certain period of time (approximately 1 month).

3.The Cold Staker cannot access their funds during the locking period. After the locking period has expired, the Cold Staker can withdraw the staking reward AND stake at any time.

4.The longer a staker is “staking”, the higher the reward is. For example, a staker who left their coins for “staking” for 2 months will receive approximately 2x more reward than if they left their coins for 1 month. NOTE: the minimal period of time that is required for claiming the first staking reward is 1 month.

5.After the period of locking has passed, a Cold Staker has two options: (1) claim the reward and continue staking, thus lock their funds for 1 month again, or (2) claim the reward and withdraw stake.
6.The more active stakers are currently “staking” the less the reward of each staker is and visa versa.

7.If a staker is inactive for a certain period of time (approximately 1 year) then they are considered to be inactive and are disposed from the staking contract. Inactive stake is paid back to the stakers address. Staking reward is not paid for inactive stakers.
8.A staker MUST NOT deposit funds into the Staking Contract during the locking period. Depositing funds will cause the reinitialization of stakers entry and renewal of the locking period.

9.Each staker can independently claim their reward at any time after the locking period. The staking reward depends on the amount of CLO that are currently in the Cold Staking Contract. As a result, the reward of each staker depends on other stakers claims. We rely on the assumption that with a sufficiently high distribution of claims over time, Cold Stakers have a high probability of receiving a reward close to the expected value.

10.There is no minimum staking threshold. However, depositing into the Staking Contract and claiming the reward requires transaction fees to be paid. Staking with a very small deposit may not cover your transaction fees.

11.A Cold Staker can only stake with their deposit address. There is no possibility to point rewards into someone else’s address or grant someone a permission to claim the reward on your behalf.

12. A Cold Staker does not need to run a node to stake. They only need to invoke the staking contract twice: make a deposit and claim the reward. The ClassicEtherWallet is sufficient for this procedure.

"Smart-contracts security will always be relevant regardless of how the blockchains will evolve."

Learn more about Callisto Scalability and Security Auditing DAO.

The future of programmable blockchains, smart-contract systems and the role of Callisto Network.
Overview
Currently, there are many smart-contract development platforms. Many of them are based on the Ethereum code. Being a developer of Ethereum smart-contract and a security auditor, I can say that there are many limitations of Ethereum smart-contracts. Therefore, several newer and more advanced smart-contract platforms are being developed. For example Cardano and EOS.io.

EOS has significantly better performance and provides much more efficient functionality for the development of decentralized applications. I think that EOS will beat Ethereum in the near future.

I don’t see any value in Callisto as in decentralized applications (smart-contracts) development platform.I don’t see any value in Ethereum, ETC or any blockchain2.0 as in the development platform of smart contracts. We should consider Ethereum-based currencies to be deprecated. Ethereum is blockchain 2.0. Now the era of blockchain 3.0 comes.

The main problem of each smart-contract development platform
I would say that it is impossible to create an absolutely error-free program with the first attempt. This also applies to smart-contracts. For each smart-contract development platform, the problem of code security is critical, because this code will ultimately manage millions of dollars of customers investments.

As a security engineer, I can say that no automatic methods can provide sufficient security improvements. Neither formal verification nor development of new programming languages can solve this problem. The problem of smart-contracts security is of decisive importance for every smart-contract development platform. At the moment, no platform has a solution to this problem.

It does not matter how much blockchains progress. This problem will always be relevant as long as new smart contracts are being developed.

The solution — Callisto
Callisto Network is our attempt to solve the security problem of smart contracts for the entire blockchain industry. Not for Callisto itself. Callisto introduces the Security Auditing DAO which will provide free smart-contract audit services for smart-contract developers. This can not guarantee absolute security of smart-contracts, however this can significantly improve it and prevent such accidents as Parity multisig hack.

Callisto is scalable in this aspect. Security Auditing DAO is abstracted from Callisto core features. Security auditors could be hired and paid depending on demand. When the demand for auditing EOS smart contracts is high, auditors can be paid to verify these contracts. Thus, Callisto can serve other blockchain platforms to solve security problems. Currently, Callisto has no competitors in this space, and I have not seen any attempts to solve the security problem of smart-contract development.

Ethereum is solely a development platform, so it will certainly lose its utility when the EOS comes to existence, because EOS is technically better in all aspects and has much higher performance. Unlike Ethereum, Callisto will not lose its real utility because it solves the eternal problem of programming. Smart-contracts security will always be relevant regardless of how the blockchains will evolve.

As a “security chain”, Callisto can coexist with smart-contract development platforms and increase its utility with increasing demand for contract security audits.

Scalability of Callisto
Callisto scalability depends on price level. The more the price of $CLO is, the more auditors could be hired. Securing the Callisto’s smart contracts makes sense as long as Callisto is seen as a development platform. This could definitely increase the value of Callisto platform, but it will not be worth it in long term.

Providing security audits for newly developed and wider used smart-contract platforms is a good solution for the whole industry in the long term. However, this does not directly increase a value of Callisto.

Therefore, I proposed to consider the model with a collateral. In this model, if a developer wants to request an audit of your smart contract that will be deployed on any other network, he must buy a certain amount of CLO as a collateral and hold it until the end of the audit. Then the developer can sell CLO and earn his funds back.
