Interested? The transaction can become immediately valid by using MaidAccount, as authorization is already completed. This avoids the delay that Bitcoin users currently experience with the block chain, where it takes the Bitcoin network 60 minutes to confirm transactions. In addition, the MaidSafe network provides a further advantage of not leaving any trace of any transactions, ensuring user identities cannot be traced.

The Nxt MaidSafe network is a fully distributed platform on which application developers can build distributed applications. The network is made up by individual users who contribute storage, computing power and bandwidth to what is a global, public cloud. Through cutting edge end-to-end encryption and obscuring where data is located, Nxt MaidSafe offers currently unseen levels of security for all types of data. The platform is also autonomous, resistant to viruses and requires no human intervention of any kind. Calling Decentralised Application Developers How would you like to create the next Dropbox, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Twitter, Candy Crush, or secure email service? The Nxt MaidSafe platform offers every developer the opportunity to create applications without any infrastructure costs and without any barrier to entry.

well idk anything about graph theory but yes the length of the chains is irrelevant.
Okay, so now we have: Consensus in NXT is found by looking for the branch that demonstrates the greatest stake participation without claiming to be from the future. This is achieved by summing up the targets on each branch and the branch with the smallest total is the correct one. Got it right? No. U sum 1/target and want to get the highest value. there we go cfb. thanks that clarifies what i was going to ask you about. thanks as usual.

[TEST RELEASE OF NODECOIN MINER]
what happens if more that 1 accounts try to run on the same box? I have no checks in there to prevent that, I would think that you will generate nodecoins from each instance. The way it is setup now, it doesnt matter as nobody gets these nodecoins until they bid for them. Once I do some serverside error checks, I could limit to once instance per computer. Just need a way to get a unique ID. Now the source for nodeminer is only 500 lines, server side is about 1000 lines of code. I am pretty sure this is a record low number of lines for a coin. However there are no protections built in at all. Anybody can spoof it, that is why I didnt bother with tracking which accts are creating the nodecoins. Since all it takes is to let your acct forge NXT, there isnt much incentive to cheat. Once I create some CPU calculations needed for PoW, that should take care of most spoofing. This whole process of using NXT for nodecoin is helping with the automated gateway design. Of course, for NXTcoins there is no need at all for any gateways, since they are creating within NXT. crypto people are comfortable with altcoins and mining, so I am leveraging that to convert them into NXT'ers. At the same time, I am coming up with ways to utilize the massive mining resource to do useful calculations. By useful, I mean financially valuable. I only see a few people running nodeminer, someone's going to collect the 1000NXT bounty without much effort James P.S. I must be doing something right if emule is complaining about me

are any of the devs here working on off-chain transactions??
I am designing an interim solution for this, but I still need to either get a developer (I can pay NXT!) or come up to speed myself on doing multisig stuff

Hello, I have been running my VPS for more than 3 weeks now without earning any nxt !. I do have some nxt in my account and have aroud 600 unconfirmed transaction!! what do I have to do ? thank for your help in advance Wesh; seeing as everyone else is ignoring ya, heres some help: The reason u r seeing 600 unconfirmed transactions is that u are currently on a fork of the blockchain. This is not good... Look at my last block: 69664 4747512364439223888 dinsdag 18 februari 2014 22:50:06 1 49 + 1 128 B 2 12965468926053797053 70 % If none of that matches with what u r seeing, shut down NRS, delete everything and re-install. U need to be running version 7.4 or 7.5, available from the first page of this thread. Install, run, let the blockchain update and then u can log back in to start forging. Hate to tell u, but u will need to have at the very least 10,000 NXT (preferably a lot more) to see any forging income at all.

I must be doing something right if emule is complaining about me Maybe someone can explain this. In terminal, I see I've collected Total unclaimed nodecoins 5289.0But in AE under my assets (Wesley's client), I only have 51 listed. Is this a client bug, or is the asset issued at a fixed time every day?

Guys, please help. I think there are more people having the same problem here. After cleaning the database (nxt_db) for the third time (each time, the client shut down for no reason, nothing in the nxt log, and had to be boot up three times before finally reached and downloaded the last blocks), I still have encountered the same error/debug message: [2014-02-18 16:37:50.365] DEBUG: Failed to accept block 12287095647751898123 at height 69655 received from panda.nxtbase.com, blacklisting [2014-02-18 16:37:51.932] DEBUG: Failed to accept block 12287095647751898123 at height 69655 received from panda.nxtbase.com, blacklisting [2014-02-18 16:37:53.667] DEBUG: Failed to accept block 12287095647751898123 at height 69655 received from panda.nxtbase.com, blacklisting
What's going on? does this mean that I am most likely to be on a fork? how to prevent this? and what the heck is panda.nxtbase.com doing? have seen more people received 'faulty' blocks from this very node.

I only see a few people running nodeminer, someone's going to collect the 1000NXT bounty without much effort James P.S. Right now there is an auction every block for all the unclaimed coins. You just need to send NXT to the robot and be the highest bidder. However, whoever has test acct 3323287590575539129 has modified the nodeminer to make excessive claims. Please understand nodecoin has only one day's work and has no protections. We must use the honor system to prevent unfair claims on the 1000 NXT bounty. Any abuse (changing nodeminer claim frequency) will disqualify you from bounty. I still want to test the auction process, but that requires coordinating competing bids from multiple people 3323287590575539129 please stop cheating. James

How many members will sit on each committee? The original discussion concluded 5 or 7, but that's not set in stone. I personally think 5 sounds right.
