@ miners: next version will include activated hallmark protection for outbound traffic, u may see increased rate of orphaned blocks if u don't mark ur node.
If you do that, could you also add the option to advertise a port number other than the default 7874, in myAddress and in the hallmark? Jetty can still listen on 7874, I would use iptables or ssh to do the forwarding. This would let me put several nodes behind the same VPN public IP and use one for mining, another for serving as bootstrapping node.

So it will ban from mining stakeholders behind NAT?

No. I said "outbound". They r unreachable anyway.

My situation became worse when i upgrade from 0.3.16 to 0.3.17, all address listed in active peer widget turn their flags to red : disconnected,
now i total disconnected from nxt.

Delete peers.nxt.

Delete peers.nxt several times, still can not connect to the network,
when i check netstat -na, i can see connection established and disconnected immediately

Let's try this trick:
- Remove all well-known peers except 88.198.210.245

I delete peers.nxt, edit web.xml left only your vps, but I still stuck at 12508,
active peers all remain disconnected

I see a lot of peers under the Blacklisted Peers window, even those with the blue cloud picture next to them. Is that normal?

Active peers - 14
Known peers - 0
Blacklisted peers - 29

One or two peers keep jumping between Known and Blacklisted.

CfB, could you explain, why it is not possible to have neither localhost as allowedUserHosts, nor 127.0.0.0 ?
Both case gives my "Matrix has you" on my local computer (Win7, Nxt v.0.3.17).
Only * makes a trick. But I'm sure, that * is not a good choice at home PC.

Just to see if I understand hallmark, if I set it on a server that server will be "mining" on behalf of the hallmarked account without needing to unlock the account?
No.
- could you and BCNext consider such possibility?  It would encourage many stockholders to mark their hosts. Why they need to risk with their phrases in order to forge (to make network stronger)? They already proved their account ownership when they made hallmarks.

Hallmark doesn't contain private key, thus mining is impossible.
