Since there is a limit to the connected number of peers, can people use smaller (eg: 512mb RAM) VPS instances to support the network?

There is no limit for connected private peers.

1) when will be released an official client (i mean i final version, for all)?
2) how much is the block found reward?
3) do you think this coin will be really used from a large amount of people?
4) why i see my "found block time" changing 1000 times from 4 days to 9 months?
- 1) hmmm.. bitcoin-qt now has version 0.8.6  When will be final version? Who knows..
2) Please read 1ts post of this thread carefully.
3) yes, I do. It is highly innovative crypto.
4) Because the forging is a probabilistic process :-)). Please, estimate your chances here.

Did u find that transaction? 11 min is normal, forging is a probabilistic process.
- yes, see here.
And I think, that sudden 11min gap (after 10 or more strictly 1 min blocks) is not normal.
And such >10 min gaps repeated from time to time.  Not 3 min or 5 min, but huge.

I have an idea.

We could split development among different people to speed things greatly. If my team and me worked on core functions only then we would get advanced features much more earlier. NRS could be a headless server soft and clients would just connect to local private or remote public nodes that run NRS. Transactions can be signed on client side, so it's secure.

R there any bounties for developers and tech support? We could pay to those who create client software or run public nodes.

Also NRS would work much more stable if I got rid of all code related to web interface. Right now it's a monolithic block of code, no MVC pattern at all.

Last night I released a publicly editable gdoc, where could volunteers sign up for their positions.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgAGADgnQcrtdHRrV3V3Z1lzOXVEMWtqdElUaEtqV1E#gid=2

Now we've got there:

Programming:
?
Come-from-Beyond
BaiMangal:   wallet
Ferment: hosting, infrastructure, deployment dev

+ there is Sheet "Donation" and Sheet "Bounties - ideas"

Because these topics are so widely spread at the forums, here can be some centralized database.

I insist that u remove me from the list. I'm paid for my work by BCNext.

Very good idea. I have already pledged my donations.

Currently, we have various bounties managed by different people for different purposes. That's good and should carry on.
CfB's bounty idea is dev & tech support, which I think is the most important, and should be the biggest.  I suggest we set up something to show that there's serious money being committed.

1. A fund dedicated to dev & tech support only. Say we call it the Tech Account (TA)
2. Provide 3 ways for contributions
  • Donors send Nxt to the TA with their forum ID for identification
  • Anonymous donors send Nxt to the TA.
  • Donors pledge Nxt, but don't send in any Nxt yet. Promise to send in funds when the need arises
3. Elect a trusted member to hold the funds, until such time when multisig is available
4. Create a dedicated accounting sheet in this file or a dedicated file be set up to keep track of donations, pledges and payouts. For obvious reasons, this sheet/file will be public viewable but not editable.

I volunteer to do the accounting (4), subject to community consensus.

So, I'm not the only one in this case (block 15153)
I'm using 0.3.19 looks better than the previous version, running on MAC.
A lil bit laggy as some people said but it was refreshing faster than the previous one.

Great job done Wink
