The hash of the transaction already serves as ID_2 as far as I remember.

It includes signature bytes.

No. Here is the method getHash from Transaction.java (version 0.6.2):

Quote
...
}

It's hash, not id.

Edit: It's another hash.

I don't have the orignal source, but the method pushBlock checks for duplicate hash and throws an exception if it finds a duplicate hash, so I guess it kind of serves as second transaction id.

Are you sure NXT has a problem of recongition? Not being known in crypto world/people? Are you sure that you need to put into the focus of more people or have they mostly heard of it by know? If they did, why don't they flock to NXT?

I think the bigger problem is isn't being used - it has no purpose right now. It's being hodled by people like us who see the potential of what it could be.

Imo NXT is cool, but that's just me. It has a good name, but should it also have a mascot or something? I don't know, but even if it did have a good image, what is it going to be used for? Hodling?

Also there are no shops and services where NXT could be used. Doge has a wider base here. Plus the community is driving the advertising themselves! How are you going to make NXT people do the same? You can't force them into liking it. Some sort of appeal is missing.

And there's also that java client "7-clicks client"...

Is it possible for multiple users to share a part of a "secret phrase"?
a client can be programmed to the users to share the "secret phrase"

example

phrase mjknbjsksadbjkndbq87huhsadbhiuhudia

client1  mjknbjsk
client2  adbjkndb
client3  jkndbq87
client4  huhsadb
client5  hiuhudia

for the "blockchain" is an account but we have 5 nodes? is it possible?

If u need a multisig then Account Control solves this problem.
What is status of Account Control. Any idea when it will be ready? A lot of new features would be much easier to implement if we knew more about what exactly it could do and when we can expect it

Recently bought some GummyBear. Great.
I could even cancel an order without a problem.

So, as it appears the API works for me.

Only the client seems to be very laggy. I think, I will look into writing one myself.

Btw.: I recommend the finest TRASH on earth: AssetID = 13909058817312512041

i think client will have better performance on public node (on localhost:7874...), since requests are much faster and local.

BCNext didn't give me the code yet, so I think he is thinking about the concept or coding it. AC will be ready by April.

Nxt has very clever devs and technology. But Doge more popular. WHY so???Is doge's marketing better? Very disappointing...

What a useless strange post.

Let's use a meme for Nxt promotion? What about The Most Interesting Man In The World?

I see, you can check it through transfer, but I will think of adding it maybe in my orders window.

BCNext said something like do not worry about NXT being popular (or valuable). Build a digital economy using NXT. People will use the things we can build with NXT. NXT is like the roads, plumbing and wiring. Not really stuff most people get excited about. We need to build the stores, buildings, movie theatres, even farms (like POPPP has) using NXT. Most people wont know or care that they are using NXT, but of course some people will realize the value of NXT is related to the sum of the value of all the things that can be built on top of NXT.

So the more services we can come up with to build on top of NXT, the more people will indirectly use NXT. As a community, if we can think of things for "normal" people to use built on top of NXT and then making it as easy for them to do this, then the number of NXT users will be much larger than the number of bitcoin users. Also, it will be relatively easy to monetize any significant usage so we can build businesses creating services for people, all on top of NXT.

THINK BIG!

BCNext gave us a platform to build on. Like the Internet protocol when it only supported email. Sure email was useful as compared to faxes, but most people back then actually sent physical letters through the mail! How many protocols run on top of IP today? How many things can we build on top of NXT? What will be the http equivalent for NXT?

Well, back to the stolen coins. What was the passphrase?

Hi, the password was of 14 characters. The stolen NXTs went to the account 10715382765594435905 which is BTER account. The password for the account from which NXTs were stolen is the same as the one I use with BTER.

Please also see the quote 23218 in page 1161. Someone else had also his NXTs and they went to this BTER account. The balance of this account is 41 million which makes me think one of the big persons is involved.

Since your account is already compromised, what was the password?

This sounds like Bter was hacked and people are using the BTER password to check if there is a NXT acct for it

Does ANYBODY either attend or work at John Hopkins in Baltimore? Or know anybody that does?

I am projecting that NXTcash project will be bottlenecked by waiting for the new release from zerocoin. I want to have someone demonstrate a working NXTcash based on the alpha libzerocoin directly to Matt Green at John Hopkins. No promises on when zeronet (testnet for NXTcash) will be ready, but as soon as it is, I want to be able to arrange an in person demo. maybe crash one of his lectures with a solar raspi, anything.

The way the NXTcash project is setup, as soon as we get the libzerocoin2, we will be able to quickly retrace the path we took to integrating libzerocash, especially since all the client and high level parts will stay the same. This way, we can help zerocoin with finding any bugs and also providing a demonstration platform for their new tech.

PLEASE PM me if you have the appropriate contacts, preferably the dean!

James

P.S. I already have a client developer, so no need for anymore client devs for now.
