http://nxtra.org/nxt-client/ is so much awesome. Where can I download a testnet node? I can't find a link I'd like some testnet coins too, my address is 15641203180843086493 Hi, testnet available at https://holms.cloudapp.net:6875Create your testnet account there and come back here post your testnet account. I'll send some nxt to your account. As for client u could use clienxt v0.005 or nxtsolaris or other. Or he could just register at http://nxtra.org/nxt-client also :-) what is the function of the testnet button? Nothing, in the downloadable version (released later) you can choose between different servers via that button, but I disabled this for online test version.

Do you need additional help/support from community?
I think for now we have enough people to get this implemented but when we get to the "testnet" stage we'd be hoping to get some extra help. Ok! Let me know if you need anything. I am not an experienced coder, but am happy to help you with organisational stuff wherever I can.

Hi NXTers!
NXT's greatest competitor seem to be Ethereum. It's main feature that NXT still lacks is scripting, which is a wonderful idea (along with it's risks of course) - kudos to Vitalik and his team for bringing this up!
Because I want NXT to be competitive and because this is a great feature on it's own, I decided to personally fund a team led by CIYAM and CfB (as long as he is with us), to implement this technology in NXT too!
The code will be open sourced when the feature is finished and extensively tested. We will use a private github repo if others want to easily review the source during development.
Let the good times roll!
very good! based on a subset of luajit or a new design?

Thanks JL! Added startForging and stopForging API requests. Parameters: secretPhrase, required for both starting and stopping.
While you are at it, can we have "isForging":0/1 returned with getAccount? +1 I have been asking since December! Then we need "isForging" : yes/no/notAvail coz we don't know if OTHER accounts r forging. I don't get it. NRS doesn't know which accounts are forging on the local node? When I use stopForging call on an account that I used startForging on before, I get "foundAndStopped":true, if I do it on an account that I didn't use startForging on I get "foundAndStopped":false, so why isn't it possible to check if an account is forging on the local node?

We are still in the very early stage at the moment so no decision has been yet made although we are likely to go down the path of creating a "low-level" assembly language 1st and then perhaps adding a "higher level" language above that later (it is much easier to "control" things such as "fees per step" if you use a very "low-level" language as the basis).

Could be confusing. Then this API call should be "isForging Locally".

We should take a big effort to explain why P-O-S is different from P-O-W coin and the term pre-mine does not apply. Also take an effort to stress on how P-O-W coin have been dominated by mining industry which is a big extra burden for a self-sufficient blockchain.
