I think I am solo mining, but I am not sure if I am producing anything or not.
I am kind of lost when it comes to solo mining. I have read several posts on here about it, but I am still lost.
How would I know if I solved a block?

All donations are given to the Universal DBDB Organization

depend how much hashpower u have and how long u mine for.

let me know I check back in a bit, but if you have significant hashpower it shouldn't take long at all.

I can help you get set up if its not working correctly.

At present difficulty you'll probably hit 5 blocks a day, could be more or less.  Good Luck.

Ok, so over the night I solved 2 blocks Smiley
Solo Mining is not that bad once you figure it out Smiley
Thanks for the info guys!

Now we just need Grain to get added to a few exchanges and for a few places to start using them as a payment option and all is good.

The latter is more important as the presence on the exchange does not create a value.

stop the wallet, remove the peers.dat file and add these nodes to the Grain.conf:

addnode=61.23.187.93:11054
addnode=146.185.150.184:11054
addnode=84.202.182.12:11054

addnode=83.212.121.113:11054
addnode=198.245.51.98:11054

What version of the client do you have?

In a sense the address does not contain any grain but it is a label or tag that is put onto the grain to denote the current owner. A single transaction may care more grains than the total amount in existence atm

Edit: Stupid question but still: Do you have any free space on the harddrive?

I really like Grain, but what made it interesting for me was the PoS element, and the main motivator for me to mine it.

Without it I feel the coin loses what made it interesting.
