It's true that there is no cap, but that article is not particularly correct.

Quote
This means there could be 200, 500 or even a million billion DogeCoin in 10 years from now.

This is nonsense, there will be ~5.3billion coins mined a year after the initial 100 billion.
This means in the 10 years following the 100 billionth coin being mined a further 53 billion will be added, so to say 200, 500 or million billion in 10 years is clearly scaremongering and ill informed.

Bear in mind the first 100 billion is being mined in 18 months, the next 100 billion will take 18.9 years.

It's not a big deal.

I added a comment on the article page earlier today explaining why IMO an inflationary coin is actually advantageous in the long run and will ultimately benefit Dogecoin.

Hello,
I do not really think this will lead to something but well I can still try. :/
I've been mining Dogecoins for some time and tried trading them via Cryptsy. Made some loses overall but well, that was my fault.
On friday I saw that all my coins were gone so I guess I got a tryjoan from somewhrere and the maker took all my stuff from cryptsy. He also got my mail password and so this shit happened.
It used to be one bitcoin but because of my awesome trading skills he took about 17.8 Litecoin in the end (about 400$).
If there are some people that got a few spare Doge for cases like this I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out a little. I can continue my life without the 300 € but it is a big sum I will miss.
I know that a lot of people try to scam here but I do not think I can prove my case is legit. If I could I would. Maybe sending the more than bad trades in Cryptsy or the transaction? I dont know...
I would probably not send Doges to a case like this because I'd think that the person is lying and scamming but maybe there is someone who could believe me a little and help a little. I have never begged for Coins before and I really feel stupid doing so.
Every amount would help me.

If someone believes me and got a few Doges, here's the adress:
DJXa16TnVXpp4nWT4MLWXupjHfUCze9TFF

If this is not allowed here please tell me and ill remove the post asap or just delete yourself it if you are a mod.

Thanks to everyone if helping or not. Was a nice time mining and trading. Really nice community!

Stfu.

I'm seriously wondering how people even get trojans, It's like you actually have to try to get yourself infected.

Seriously, does anyone know a good pool? I've been reading this topic and everyone telling something different.
pool.dogechain.info seems to pay way to less than what I should get.
Is dogehouse any better?
If you want to compare some pools, you can set your miner to "rotate" every few minutes between pools, so you can compare them (once the ramp-up for PPLNS is done). I am currently comparing dogechain.info and nut2pools by roatating my miner between them.
You probably can also rotate over 3 or 4 pools to get a quick overview between all of them after letting the PPLNS ramp up for a day and then measuring the Doge awarded the next couple days. Should be interesting to see the differences.

Did you mine before with this card? Was that also a scrypt-based coin? If not, you will need to configure the miner to do "scrypt".
In addition, a pool will have a different port number for different coins, so you need to change that too, not just the pool name.
There is more tweaking that may be needed, but this should you get started with Doge.
Success,
