Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

just one question.. if you collect 20m doge for charity, they then dump it and price will go down, right? I mean, charity need real money, not doges, so they must sold it.

i want to react on this :  NO at leat we dont sell them wen we get dontations they wil be hold on long term especialy digital coins wen the price is right we shall sell them becouse it no sence to sell lets say 20 million for 2 or 3 ltc ? no way,

all donations we get gonne be spared for future use, onther thins we collect going straight to the dogs in need , see our website for further details

you donation is presious tu us !!   look here http://savegreyhound.hol.es/ reccommended sponsor page and photo mivie and proof page !

20M doge is about $24,000usd.

doge has enough liquidity that this will not affect the price of the coin.  doge is one of the few cryptos with enough market liquidity to cushion a transaction of this size.  other coins are another story.

Dogehouse down?

So is fast-pool, try http://doge.netcodepool.org and compare your earnings to these two shady pools. Im sure you'll notice a difference. Actually these guys manually "edit" the no. of coins in a block, thereby earning the already fee + around 5% from the "so-called-orphans-or-low-paying-blocks"

More proof here: http://www.reddit.com/r/dogemining/comments/1x1p76/something_is_rotten_in_the_state_of_doge_mining/

Rest assured, Netcodepool is in mining business since 2012, 70000 Litecoins have been mined till date, we never do these kind of cheap attempts to earn more. Therefore, hold a record for not loosing a user's single coin, ever.

496,691 is the mean block size for netcodepool. very close to what you would expect given the math for this coin.

1558617908.133 DOGE/3138 valid blocks

confirm here: http://doge.netcodepool.org/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

kind of surprised its so much higher than the others posted here 0.o Not having near 500,000 average value for your blocks when you have mined so many is strange. Statistically its anomalous to say the least.... whats going on?

However, the vast majority of your blocks are older than 4 weeks, where this tactic might not have been widely used. Your average payout for blocks in the last 4 weeks is just 446,395 DOGE.

edit: These recent numbers are also less than 1% likely; the 99% confidence interval is at 466,645. OP's case is holding up.

WTF Samsung is planning to run away with our 24 minutes of glory? And why the fuck are those Jamaica bobbers posing for pictures for this, did they sell us out?

IT sure Looks like Samsung saw a good thing and the Jamaicans got bought out!

People need to send this info to the news so we can get more coverage that Samsung is stealing the glory.

I'm not on redit so someone post that link there.

What? Stealing?
Do you guys understand difference between donating and sponzoring?  Shocked
Do you guys know that Jamaica bobsled raised 180 000 USD, so 150 000 USD are from another peoples not only Dogecoin?  Shocked
OMG. Some peoples here are really *beep*

BTW, dont worry. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-02-04/jamaican-bobsledders-ride-dogecoin-into-olympics.html

What you may not remember is that the team had ZERO money to get to Russian Olympics (sponsored or not) and doge community funded that trip. Period. there would be NO Jamaican team in Russia without Doge community. Samsung is grabbing glory after media blitz for doge.

You are wrong. Dogecoin funded "only" 1/4th of all.  Wink

So without Dogecoin they will go to Sochi too.  Tongue BIG PERIOD.

Last 7 days we have 540,000 doge average per block(over 115 blocks). If this is something that is happening recently you would expect our last weeks blocks to be the worst yet in terms of average size wise... instead they are amazing 108% of expected. Your number is also wrong for our last 4 weeks average block size. Its not 446,495... not sure how you got it? Are you including orphans in your denominator?
Last 7 days --- 540,000 average block size Last 4 Weeks --- 467k average block size All time --- 497k average block size
