I know everyone goes on about 'pump and dump' but how does it actually work? I get that its to do with artificially inflating the price to enable a sell at a bigger level - but how does this get controlled? Can anyone explain the buy and sell pattern that goes on between what i assume is a group of people rather than an individual? And how do they decide when enough is enough heh?

Ther's normaly a couple of ppl organise a pump and bring in loads of other guys to help out They normaly say about 1 min before the start which coin most of the times its a scam the coin has been prepumped by the organisers then the guys pump and the organisers pull out with 100%+ profit if you lucky you can also pull out b4 the rest dump and make some profit http://coinmarketcap.com/ +44

Are there moderators on this forum? Would be nice to delete all the pool spams and keep this thread on track, which is to talk about dogecoins.
They should create a thread for the pools.

I feel like this random rise is just what the community needed to keep it's spirits up.
It will be a while still until miners have no effect on the value of doge.
But at least this shows us some signs of life from the community.
A DOGE lands on the moon in 2014. Believe.

Usually the people doing the "pump and dumps" are making huge walls and making people think the price will inflate a lot, then they convince people in chat that they will bring the price up by x% and then maybe when they get halfway the people are all hyped up and hoping that the coin will go to "the moon" now while the person pumping slowly sells(dumps) and when everyone realizes that there are no more buy walls supporting and the price is starting to go down slowly, everyone else starts dumping and the price goes to the floor leaving some people with a bag of coins that are now worth less than they did before the pump

Glad I decided to hold my doge.
I almost dumped them when people were getting all depressed.
Doge is nothing without it's hype.
Now that people are getting hype doge is worth keeping.
Doge to the moon!
I almost did the same thing when I bought 1mil at 75 satoshi and it dropped to 40+ satoshi lol Lol, yesterday I was considering selling all my doges, now I'm holding. Hope is back Doge is rising!!!

Once again hold your coins, the meme aspect of this was just a large "foot in the door" this is not about pump and dump its about #dogecoin being used for everyday transactions. This is the "People's Currency" we can thank bitcoin for paving the way for Doge but our coin is simply our money.

So basically people need to keep an eye on that .00000070 buy order for now. I dont wanna sell but if theres gonna be a dump im willing to risk a small sell to double back up after. I think 70 is about where the price should be tbh though so not doing anything until its worth my while.
