Thanks for the list. So there are more merged mining pools than i thought. And Yes means they do merged mining with stratum too? And means yes only Namecoin-Mining? That would mean bitparking would be the only pool where one can mine all merge-mining-capable coins.

Lookey there, all three of my pools don't do merged mining.  What a happy coincidence.

Does Eclipse really still do MM on all protocols?  I could've sworn they stopped as well.

thanks Graet! Could you please also erase below line from your thread  Wink
"Merged Mining of Bitcoin and Namecoin on getwork servers"
i hope all the pool operators have reliable and updated information in their threads otherwise my list is faulty

"yes" means BTC+NMC (no exception between stratum or getwork is stated)
"No" means only BTC

p.s. i wonder if all SHA-256 or scrypt coins can be merged together and how  Grin

Thanks for putting in the time to compile the list, luffy!

Sorry I had to leave out some of the information you obtained, but even with just Yes/No I had to make a few changes in some of the other columns (eg HHTT's now reads "Variable" instead of actually quoting the fee range).

Eagle eyed observers might notice btcwarp's hashrate is 0 Ghps. Well, that's what they have on their website. Anyone know if they're undergoing a DoS, or if the pool is failing or if the website is just plain wrong?

Judging from this cool site there are only 3 coins that can be merged mined with bitcoins. http://dustcoin.com/mining Bringing exactly 7.5% more earnings exchanged into bitcoins. Today. It fluctuates. Some days ago it was 9% and over a week ago only NMC gave 13% more.

These coins can be merged mined only because the coinbase is changed. So that the amount of calculations remains the same like only mining bitcoins. But not all alternate coins allow this.

Totally forgot to update that. I remember thinking at the time, "don't forget to update the mining pools list...". And I did.

Edit: Fixed.

Some Bitparking changes.

We've added DGM:
  • Fee: 1.5%
  • Pay Tx Reward: No
  • Variable difficulty: user defined
  • Local work: stratum
  • Pay Orphans: yes
  • ASIC Ready: yes
  • Merged Mining: yes

The PPS side of things has changed the fee to 3.5% for bitcoin and kept it at 2.5% for altcoins. The bitcoin fee is gradually increasing to 5% however so you might as well just put that. PPS bad luck streaks have been a killer.

Ecki.net supports Stratum Protocol since 2012-11-25 (like written in the headline news on the home page).
Variable diff. so it is ASIC ready (about 12 Avalons are mining here already).
We are currently working on our own stratum proxy to support merged mining (BTC, NMC & SMO) not only for getwork (port 8332), instead for stratum (port 3333) too.
We schedule to have this proxy software working sometime next week at both locations
Paris/France = eu-miner.ecki.net and Samui/Thailand = miner.ecki.net.

Hi Eckmar,
I'll update your entry - do you mind formatting your data like doublec did? EG:

  • Fee: 1.5%
  • Pay Tx Reward: No
  • Variable difficulty: user defined
  • Local work: stratum
  • Pay Orphans: yes
  • ASIC Ready: yes
  • Merged Mining: yes

It makes it easier for me to edit the file. Can you also let me know what type of variable difficulty you use? I've wanted to include your pool since mid last year but I haven't found your block history API. Do you have one or am I just not seeing it?

Cheers,

ooc.

Edit: Scratch that. Just post what sort of variable difficulty you use - "User defined", or x shares per minute?

Hello ooc,

...
Edit: Scratch that. Just post what sort of variable difficulty you use - "User defined", or x shares per minute?
Right now we are still using "x shares per minute" which gives Avalon miners something between 180 and 400 as difficulty.
But as written before, we are just writing our own Stratum Proxy Server, which will limit the diff to something the user or the pool operator can set (e.g. 64 by worker).
So at the end of next week we will change this.

Thanks, Eckmar. What I meant though, was do you want me to quote what 'x' is, or just leave it until you change to "user defined" and use than instead?

BTW, your "Sunny regards" only ever make me cranky by reminding me that it's been more than year since I was last at Koh Samui Wink
