German Leftists Say Fighting Global Warming Trumps National Defense, Want Eurofighter Typhoon Scrapped For Emitting Too Much CO2…

Now climate politics is becoming a real threat to the very defense of our freedom, democracy and western civilization.

Germany’s socialists, pacifist greens and anti NATO activists (who are well represented in German government) have found a new excuse for shirking their NATO defense responsibilities and reason for shutting down important military operations thus unwittingly playing into the hands of our enemies – many of whom are at Europe’s very own doorstep!

Their latest claim: “the Eurofighter Typhoon is a climate killer” and so it needs to be grounded. Protecting the climate is much more important than defending the freedom and democracy of the very citizens they were elected to represent.

According to the doomsday-obsessed, leftist Klimaretter here: the Eurofighter’s CO2 footprint is intolerable and represents a real reason to stop its use. It writes: “For the climate the Eurofighters are real poison.”

They forgot police cars, fire trucks and ambulances as a massive source of pollution too...

Lawsuit: Insufficient Number of Marijuana Co-ops Causes Global Warming

Marijuana patients claim in court that San Diego and the California Coastal Commission will foul the air, snarl traffic and force people to grow marijuana indoors, wasting energy and increasing global warming, because of their wrongheaded decision to allow no more than 36 marijuana co-ops in the city.

The Union of Medical Marijuana Patients sued the Coastal Commission and San Diego on Aug. 1, in San Diego County Court.

The rather bizarre and quite technical complaint challenges the Coastal Commission’s June 11 approval of a San Diego city ordinance of March 25, which authorized medical marijuana co-ops in the city.

The zoning-oriented ordinance allows medical marijuana co-ops only in certain industrial and commercial zones, and requires buffer zones between co-ops and residential areas.

“The ordinance caps the total number of cooperatives at 36 and places a limit of four per Council District,” the Los Angeles-based Union of Medical Marijuana Patients says in the lawsuit. But because of the zoning restrictions, the union says, only 30 pot stores are “even possible” under the law.

Global Warming Gets New Catch-Phrase And Logo: “It’s Not Warming, It’s Dying”…

“It’s not warming, it’s dying.” That’s the message from the man behind the “I ♥ NY” logo, Milton Glaser. The message comes with a logo and buttons that people can buy and wear. Glaser says that “global warming” is not good language. On that, he’s right, but reframing it as “global dying” is worse.

Arguing that the earth is dying is serious error and will probably do more harm than good. Two reasons why:

1) “Global dying” keeps the issue firmly in the abstract.
2) The earth isn’t dying. People are.

In the words of George Carlin, “The planet is fine, the people are fucked.” Or, if you prefer, Neil deGrasse Tyson: “Earth will survive this … earth will be here long after we render ourselves extinct.”

The primary problem with the language used by many global warming campaigners is that it’s not relevant to people: It frames the climate and environment as separate from us. We see clumsy language like “healthy climate,” “safe climate,” and “impact on the climate” too often. Hopefully “global dying” will be just a fleeting addition to that list.

Think Progress Exploits Death Of Robin Williams To Push Global Warming…

Robin Williams In 2002: ‘It Is Beyond Global Warming At This Point. It’s Cooking!’ – Think Progress

Robin Williams, who died Monday of an apparent suicide, was a brilliant comedian who had a well-known progressive bent in his humor.

He was not known for being an activist environmentalist the way some in Hollywood are — but he chose to make a lot of movies with explicit ecological themes, including “Happy Feet” 1 and 2 and “FernGully: The Last Rainforest.”

Williams took global warming seriously in the way only a great comic can. Back in 2002, he did this riff:

… And they say there is no global warming, but right now the North Pole is a pool. There’s things just floating away….

It is beyond global warming at this point. It is cooking.

It is 105 in the middle of the country and people come up going “Is it hot enough for you?”

“No I like sweat to be rolling down the crack of my ass like Niagara. I like my old man titties to lactate.”

And you see people in shorts and you’re going, “Please don’t wear those…. Oh please don’t put those on.”

http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2014/08/12/3470324/robin-williams-global-warming/

-----------------------------------------------------
Robin's corpse was still warm. I guess they believed it was cool to play with it.

what most normal people fail to take into account is that for the past 21 + years there has been a global cooling and it is proven by government data, which you can easily go and look up yourself. a lot of people have a hard time figuring out what bitcoin is, those are low information people. these same people think bitcoin is bad and global warming is gonna get us soon! and we are going to pay badly. if you listen to anyone who thinks global warming is really happening, mention the fact that one volcano erupting causes more CO2 pollution than the entire human race has contributed so far since we have been here.

GG no RE.

dont just quote me and call me wrong, look it all up, then apologize for arguing Smiley

No, volcanos do not emit that much CO2.  Yes, the last 21+ years of cooling refute most of the Warmer's arguments and particularly their assertions of high climate sensitivity to CO2.

Three scientists published a new paper three days ago.
Elevation and elevation change of Greenland and Antarctica derived from CryoSat-2
(http://www.the-cryosphere.net/8/1561/2014/tc-8-1561-2014.pdf)
According to them Greenland and Antarctica have lost 500 cubic kilometers of ice per year since 2011.

It is possible that solar activity has bigger influence on Earth's climate than we expected earlier:

You know, not too long ago anyone who claimed it wasn't really warming, warming could be the result of ocean currents such as the Pacific and Atlantic oscillations, was branded a denier.

Not these warmer morons have to deal with 21 years of no warming.

So they want to take refuge behind THE SAME ARGUMENTS they used to call others deniers?

I assume he has some low speed Internet access?  Yes?  Good.  So we have a year to convince him that it's not warming and there is not a crisis.

That shouldn't be too difficult.

True.  And you know his type.  They don' t have handy the 44 Magnum for those 10' high bears.  But don't worry.  He can run to the porta potty and hide.  But...

Is the Porta Potty sinking into the snow and ice from that global warming?

No?

See, everything is fine.

And the world's going to be fine.
