WHY IS THE DOUBLE PAYOUT TIMEFRAME GOING UP? shoulda started an hour ago.

http://eac.coinpoint.org/

I suggest you use either http://eac.cryptocalc.io/ or http://poolerino.com/eaccountdown/, as both of these calculate the time based on the current block and are not counting down to a specific time.  Also I think the one you linked is based on time zone, as it's counting down for me, but you say it's counting up.

We just updated the pools list as it grew quickly and is now revised to 12 pools.

If your pool is active but missing from the list please let us know.

Regarding the double payout - best way to track it the devs tell me is through the blockchain countdown (http://poolerino.com/eaccountdown/ still have 502 blocks, will be around 502 min/may vary a bit).

Hmmm, I just put the site up today, so maybe the DNS settings haven't propagated to where you are yet. I can reach the site just fine and I know others have been able to access it as well.

Q: 270M premined, has it been used for anything else other than dumping it on coinedup.com?

the mid 400 range filled back in. I bought in early and got out for a safe 4.5% return, pretty happy I saw that when I did and jumped in.

May be going way further on this pump and I may end up kicking myself, though.

EAC really needs to get up on Cryptsy otherwise it will just get lower and lower in value and people lose interest in the coin.

This new "beta" exchange might take weeks/months before it even is live and working + its not even a known site so even if people would be able to trade EAC/USD it will take long before anything will happen.
I'm not 100% sure. If they get the exchange working and working well in the next week or two, and it's actually decent, it could cause HUGE jump in EAC's valuation because converting in and out of crypto is such a shitty, sketchy, difficult task.

This. I also think that advo has a lot to do with it, and I mean Real World advo, not just the "interested" parties in these fora. The devs claim they got some money behind this, and it does appear to be true. Once they get the infrastructure in place and the legal hurdles jumped, a LARGE advertising budget would be a wise choice.

I also think they ought to either do their own take on a payment processor, or approach Bitpay. Getting USD or other traditional fiat monies to vendors via a coin payment processor is a very good way to both promote the brand and cryptocurrency in general. In fact, I think the ease of payment/exchange problem is the biggest hurdle for cryto that currently exists. Plus, the fast confirmation vs. Bitcoin could position EAC ahead of BTC for small purchases very easily.

I'm running on fumes, so I'll cut this short for now, except to say that so far I am impressed with this coin.

thinking of building a much larger farm also.....just wondering if there will be scrypt asics coming along soon to make them obsolete....

As I understand it, the cost isn't likely to be that much different from graphic cards when they do, as the ASIC is only part of the equation. Unlike the SHA256 coins in which the asic does just about everything needed, Scrypt's algorithms require a great deal of ram as well. I think that it is likely that Scrypt ASIC based machines will be an evolutionary change rather than revolutionary. Perhaps a bit more hashrate, but more likely just an improvement on power consumption. Remember, Scrypt was designed to be ASIC resistant Smiley

Of course I could be completely wrong. I'm not an expert by any means.
