I think it's the time when the hype of ICO disappeared. Many ICOs didn't reach their Hard Caps last months and many people don't want to invest in ICOs now because of low ROIs. Unfortunately this means that the effectiveness of the bounty campaigns will also decrease.

I strongly recommend that we should have one, it's become more an hyip but the big difference is you are at a big loss if the dev run away after collecting funds and they did not manage to get the project on the exchange, this is what disappoint investors that they are limiting their investment.

Hopefully soon - 2017 and first half of 2018 were the years of ICO, now are people disapointed with crypto at all so they invest rather to strong and stable cin than to unknows ICO which is usually at 10 % of ICO price when it goes to this blood bath market!

To regulate the ICO does require a great thought. Because in the cryptocurrency the scope is wider. In this world everyone everywhere can access. I think before the sanctions imposed there must be prevention. Maybe by making an ICO filter. Smiley

I think very soon, many governments will take over, there will be no ICO and fraudsters left, let's say, they will already pass through KYC. Then they will not be able to cheat and they will be much less, but for that they will not be fraudsters
The ICO hype should become slower when there is another coin that makes the ICO's obsolete on their system.

I think ICO advertising has helped drive ICO development, so many people know about ICO projects. But there are a number of ICO projects that trick people into investing without getting paid. In these projects we need to finish advertising immediately. The ICO will collapse itself if no one joins.

by creating an ICO filter, I don't think it will be enough to help because basically I don't know who they are in the ICO, so there will still be scam projects later. the government in all countries should be able to immediately participate in the crypto so that they can regulate the making of the ICO so that in the future there will only be ICO projects with good and potential teams.

i think in 2019 the whole ico hype finally comes to an end. there is noticeably less ico and the least of them are really good. the scam ico have destroyed the hype and market.

As long as there is no penalty aplicable for anyone who are making those fake ICO, i think that would be hard to stop the spread of any scam project, if there is a rules that could be applied on anyone who are making an ICO then the cyrptocurrency world will grow even further.

That is absolutely needy, but sadly there is still no regulation created to do that. So it is hard to give any punishment for those scam project with ICO.
I said hard not impossible, there are still ways to avoid those, that is to check thoroughly upon investing in an ICO.

the big ico hype is actually over, in my opinion. many investors are gone and the number of new ico is declining. maybe that will soon kill the scam ico projects and it will be easyer to find a reputable ico.

ICOs are simple crowdfunding campaigns and crowdfinding hype ended in two years, but in some countries it is still active. ICO should last a little bit longer, as for me.

There definitely needs to be some regulation but I am not sure even that would work in this sort of market.
The only possible way for now is to stay away from ICOs as much as you can.
Only if you are absolutely sure and the research looks satisfactory, must you invest.

Now it is not about hype, it is about survival of the industry. If there will be no ICOs, many great projects will never be released, because of lack of investments.

It will remain for a long time, but without regulation in this environment there will be only fraudsters. Many guippered switched to ICO.
If there is a crowdfunding regulation, it will be just one more level. Something average between investments in the stock market and on the current crypto market.

The problem is that filter has created by a country can't be applied in another country. This has become the main problem and that will make that solution will be useless. I guess they just need to provide the regulation that gives responsibility to the ico owner to register themselves to the institution.

This problem really exists in the market of ICO projects, and perhaps some kind of authorities are needed to control this. But at the moment, all we can do is choose the right projects.

I think we need sanctions to help put a stop to those who scam others, it will serve as a detrimand to other scammers too. The increase in the number of scam ICO's are preventing people from joining the cryptocurrency community.
