Has there actually been any testing done on Counterwallet with real money?

Edit: BTW I'm Looking to buy up to 25 Bitcoins worth of XCP for close to last listed offer so want to make sure it's secure.

Can someone please tell me what has changed and I cannot longer build from source for windows 7 (64bit)? (GMP MPIR library not found)

Or any other easier option for installing?

The Counterwallet has a really nice feature where you can import private keys and also monitor offline wallets. So, in effect you can have the best of both worlds, secure offline storage(paper wallet) + a web based hot wallet.

I would recommend you send 80% of your funds to a paper wallet (any bitcoin paper wallet would do, as XCP addresses are the same as Bitcoin addreses) and keep the remaining 20% in the hotwallet (counterwallet) for day to day transactions.

I'm not smart enough to use the command line version, and I also don't feel comfortable leaving funds on exchanges.

Send your XCP to a paper wallet?

Think that is related to pyCrypto, you'll need to grab that.

Counterwallet is live on mainnet: https://counterwallet.co

Please BE CAREFUL with your funds! Try an operation with a fraction of XCP or asset, get used to things, and then try more. Please email dev@counterparty.co with any bug reports involving loss or potential loss of funds.

Please BE CAREFUL with your pass phrase. Store it on paper, not on your computer. Store multiple paper copies in multiple different secure places. Do not give it a written description that would tell anyone what it's for (e.g. "My Counterwallet Password: " <=== bad move! Smiley ).

Also, please heed the following warning:
Counterwallet is BETA software and is still under heavy development. Please take caution in your use of it for storing and transferring funds on mainnet, and report any/all bugs. The Counterparty team cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen funds, although we will do everything in our power to prevent and rectify such situations.

Is sweeping supposed to work already?

Yes, it should, but please try sweeping from an address with a small (i.e. dust) balance first.

Or, wait for a few successful user reports (we have one person trying it out now)

I did try it with an address holding 100 XCP.
It didn´t work.
Nothing is happening, actually, if I click in "sweep". Is it my browser? (chrome)

edit_: the same with IE

edit_2: congratulations, the client looks great. Hopefully the sweeping will work, too.

Is there anyone who has a contact at BTER?  My xcp transfer has not gone through to poloniex for many hours now (still says Processing with no tx id) and i know 2 others with the same problem right now.  They never respond to my tickets!!!  Help please :-)

There is currently a problem with the XCP wallet on poloinex, ask one of the admins in the trollbox when it will be fixed.
I had a problem with my XCP transfering to my wallet from bter. I got a very vague response but I think they are looking into it. I think it might be the crypto.cipher module problem that was brought up some pages back in this thread.

yeah, Busoni@Polo said it's on Bter's end but they never respond to my tickets!  Did they actually email you back?

Yeah this is what they said
"Dear Sir,
Your request is recorded. The related person will check and fix it.
Thank you for patience"
They gave no information what so ever and kinda dodged my question on whats going on.

I am never making another trade there.  Still no answer to my tickets...  This is the third time I have ha a problem there with no response.  Still waiting on xcp transfer.  ugh....

What is "Primed"? Related to "Pending priming for My Address #2 for 10 more unspent outputs".

Edit: Ah, it creates unspent outputs:

https://www.biteasy.com/testnet/transactions/221acd85e4dcb320793c7baa4d1fde73bf8a53618011f81702e688e3e3af52b0

Nevertheless I'd appreciate, if someone could please explain the purpose of this. It creates outputs and I assume this is done to have "free outputs" available. But what's the actual benefit in contrast to chaining unconfirmed transactions? They are most likely included in the same block anyway?

It allows you to make multiple txs in the same block.
