We experienced DDos attack on our server that started around an hour ago, although it was pointing to our other pool. You might have noticed that http://mrc.blocksolved.com front-end was not accessible for several minutes.
It should be resolved now, but it is a strange coincidence that nut2pool front-end went down approximately at the same time.

Might be that, as long as shares still are accepted the miners are good.
The ddos phenonemon is an nightmare, Ddos recillience can only take you that far:(

There is 0 premine and a very fair launch.

I am pretty sure that the dev is not amoung the individuals with highest incentives to promote the coin from a finansial perspective.
Perhaps we should start donating Micro to the devs for their work then. They don't have a lot of hashing power and donations is probably the only way they can get a good amount of coins to push them for promotion. The coin is still young so who cares if its on an exchange right now but after a month then I will also be worried

An better approach imo would be to put up an todo list with estimated "cost", then people can donate to the "feature" they want most.

Like how coin calculation works.
Think about, after one year, mining gives blocksize 1000MRC. (10-160 X less than first month mining) but block size degreasing slowly, so market have time to act the price.
If we can together make this coin popular we will get good coin but also huge profits.
And best part is, we will got it honest way without premining & dumping shit.
Dev is just couple guys, so lets make this coin success together as we all do now.
This is first coin I really want to support. And I see there is other one too Smiley
I'm 100% in micro team.

MRC.NUT2POOLS.COM is online again. Apache crashed on the server minutes after nutnut leaving the computer, whats the odds!
NO shares were lost, just the web frontend that crashed.

So no worries miners,Happy mining Wink

Btw, only 638Mhash left total on the three main pools. This is truly starting to worry me. Where is dev? could we get him on this thread soon

ah hes out a couple of days. didnt know that.
I do remember nFactor but that has only happened once and made only reduced the average hash with 1/4.
we have gone from over 2500mhash to 638mhash.
This cant be explained with nfactor.

Im truly hoping we can get this up in the long run cause i really like this coin.
And thats not often i say:)

Hello, everyone. So here's the status report:
I've been away for a couple days, but now I'm back. Unfortunately my partner is now away for a few days. He's the one responsible for coding and technical work so during these few days (2-3 days at most) we can't get anything done that requires coding or further technical knowledge. So for the time being I'm going to open a bounty thread and add more bounties and make a giveaway thread. Also, for those who want to compile miners for linux, here are Velocitycoin GPU and CPU miner sources. They are the same as microCoin miner's. My partner is in charge of the github so they'll be uploaded there when he gets back.
https://github.com/Velocitycoin/GPU-Miner-Source
https://github.com/Velocitycoin/CPU-Miner-Source

Also, feel free to tell if you have any suggestions on what I/we should do to advance microCoin.

Cool will brainstorm a bit.
gonna test that miner later today for linux.

EDIT:
Tried to compile from the source you gave, still get unrecognized commands (Nfmin,Nfmax and StartT)
Is it something I'm missing when compiling???

i use this:
CFLAGS="-O2 -Wall -march=native"
./configure --enable-scrypt
make

I guess maybe enable-scrypt isn't right since its scrypt-jane. but theres no such option in configure.

Cheesy No one can't say they didn't give time to enjoy.
BTW. Some one not like it but, I like the logo. It's as simple as BTC logo.
But BTC have many logo created and why not MRC can be several too, if its base designed from original (m inside C)
