Boris,

I think you misunderstood... I didn't built anything, I am just looking for a way contribute and mine a little bit. Hopefully someone comes with a solution soon.

Just bought my first Vertcoins.. yaaay!

Does anyone know how to mine with Mac in a pool?

Hi flowerpots,

I don't know of a mac build of the modded cgminer yet (the github is linked from www.vertcoin.org) - it would be great if you'd post a link if you build your own binary - I'll link it from vertcoin.org if you do. I would expect the build to be somewhat similar to the linux build howto that is also linked from vertcoin.org, but I don't know much about Mac OS X.

Site now says: You and 114 others like this idea.
I added a comment, but I don't see a comment counter.

Ok, "votes" are listed on the forum page.  One more in the mean time:

Would you mind adding Vertcoin in Cryptsy exchange. (Not Scrypt clone)

We promote the vertcoin to little! Just so few people know about this great coin. They see the name in the list and think just a other crap coin.. We need to make them clear this is something different! Then we also will get more votes on cryptsy and it will be on a lot sooner!

You have tunned paramater for vertcoin or use same configuration
You have juste change url pool and replace --scrypt by --scryt-vert ?

Yes, I don't get why everyone is in such a hurry to get every coin listed.

I'm not against having it listed somewhere..  This coin seemed like it was dying a slow death at one point, and the listing on coinedup really increased interest in it at just the right time.  But I'd prefer to keep it on the DL and let interest build gradually, because with the 3.5 day retarget time we might see a catcoin-style execution where a bunch of people mine the shit out of it, then when the difficulty goes up everyone jumps ship, leaving the coin to sit at 40 minute blocks for weeks on end.

This is also what I worried about.

OSx Build of CUDAMiner now available.  http://kilovolt.co.uk/Vertcoin/CudaminerOSx-Aleks_N.zip

You need to download and install the CUDA toolkit 5.5 from NVIDIA https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-downloads

This is based on the new CUDAMiner with built in vert support.  Use the modifier below to mine vert or it wont work!

Code:
--algo=scrypt:2048

Enjoy!

FYI, only tested on my MBP Retina running 10.9 (GT650M).

If you want to get mining then join us at http://vtc.kilovolt.co.uk
