to keep you informed
I will release a new vertminer-0.5.3 today when i am back at home (in ~3 hours). Windows build is ready and i got feedback the R9 issues with crashes are solved.
Nice. I think I am not alone on this one.. Any performance improvements? Sounds good.. Guys, can anyone tell me performance out of R290 and R290X ?? How about R270X? I am planning to buy some more HW so advice would be nice Is also any difference between 2GB and 4GB version of 270X in terms of performance?

My 290s (non X) do 390 - 425 @ I19, TC=24550, E: 947, M: 1500
For comparison: my 7970 (should be close to a 280X) does 370 @ I13, TC=8192, E: 1050, M: 1500.

For my 7950 no performance improvement, my 5770 ~1% increase. But i got reports for R9 290 ~5% increase. At least i am happy i could hold performance because first steps for real adaptive nfactor are done in vertminer code and opencl now (and the opencl parts is the tricky one). Please be patient, i will release asap

Can someone tell me how long we'll need to reach 10 times and 50 times the current amount of coins? Or some other reference numbers? Sorry

That is pretty nice out of R270X I think.. what are default clocks of your card and what do you use for stable mining?

Boris: is the pool just so unlucky at the moment or is there another reason why there are no payouts in the last 4 hours? It shows I only mined 5 coins in that time with ~1.8Mhash... EDIT: also querytime is about 300-600ms? pretty sure there isn't a problem on my end.
Please PM your username so I can check. I have been tuning performance last couple of hours and got CPU load down a _lot_ (I already doubled the server cores today, but more miners keep coming, I will have to suspend reg soon if hashrate grows much more on vtcpool.co.uk). I will check on your account - someone else reported the same, but I have checked extensively and I can absolutely assure you that you will not lose coins - if there is a problem, it is only in displaying the statistics correctly, all the crons are running and payouts are happening, but please do PM your username so I can check for your specific account.

p2pool.vertcoin.org will go down for some maintainance soon. please make sure you got backup nodes in your verminer added. reason behind this is the huge & growing number of workers. downtime will be 30 minutes maximum.

Miners on vtcpool.co.uk: Here, to set your minds at ease, is what _I'm_ seeing in MPOS: The server was very heavily loaded earlier today, even though I already doubled the number of CPU cores this morning. I've spent all day performance tuning and improving it. The image above confirms that your coins are being credited to your accounts - if they aren't showing up in the web interface for you, that doesn't mean you are losing coins, it may just have been a glitch in the display updating due to very heavy load on the server which is now resolved. I have double, triple and quadruple checked all the cronjobs and transactions - round shares are being credited normally and payouts are happening. If you are having a problem seeing your balance update on the site, please PM or email contact@vtcpool.co.uk and I will look into it immediately.

Just wondering if anyone here using 290 non x's is reading asic quality?
I'm running 5x 290 non x's and am seeing a big difference in my 3x hynix ones @ different asic qualities.
The %'s are: 81,77 and 73.
The 81 and 77 I can push fine @ 1075 core/1470 mem . . but the 73 gets sick unless I downclock it to 1000/1500 at any TC.
Not looking for the best config here. . .I'm going to spend some time tuning them better when I get time but it would be interesting to see if anyone else is running into similar issues?
I'm thinking that somewhere between 77 and 73% there's a point where the higher clocks get unstable.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm reading asic quality from GPU-Z by right clicking the top bar and scrolling down to read asic quality in windows.
Also: for the elpida I'm always in the sub 70 level @ 69-69.4%

Anyone on p2pool vtcpool.co.uk:9171 having payout problems?
My last payout is more than 4 hours ago. Before that it worked fine.

I have personally received p2pool payouts within the last hour. If you look at http://vtcpool.co.uk:9171/static/ you can see the last blocks hit by p2pool, they are quite recent. I'd search your address in the blockchain. It may be that you didn't submit enough shares in that round to get paid (if you have a low hashrate), unfortunately there's little that can be checked by the node operator on p2pool - because you are paid directly in the blockchain and the node never holds your coins, there are no payouts that can fail or stick. Please search for your address in the blockchain explorer and see what you can find.

Registration temporarily suspended at vtcpool.co.uk due to pool approaching 40% of network hashrate.
Please use p2pool - it is better for the network, and for most miners (ie. anyone GPU mining with a modern card) it is more profitable for you.

The N in the OP here is correct, You should just download the Modified Cgminer in the OP post too. If you could mention you GPU's here i might be able to help you with the command line required. It already took off :p No, not yet. The boys at Cryptsy are just stocking up so they can list it soon with good inventory....(educated guess). Makes me wish I owned an exchange. BTW I must give props to vtc.poolz.net for a nice smooth running pool. I've had minimal downtime, and auto payments have been fine. Maybe they're just small enough to avoid getting DDoSed?
