I think in some cases, I will do the same as you because, in ICO, I think it really needs a long time before the price can increase higher so it will be good if I can take some profit first and then I will wait for another higher price to sell the coins. there is no specific time for every altcoin to sell and I think we can sell the coins when the price increases higher and unfortunately, we cannot predict when the time it comes. we only could wait for the price to increase while we have many option coins that still wait for the price too.

I sell my altcoin once the value of it hit to my target price or expected value. Most of the time, i'm setting target price before I sell my altcoin to ensure my investment will earn good return. Thus, setting your goal or target is good strategy because it give an assurance that your investment will generate good profit in the future.

In my case however, I couldn't find exactly the right time to sell my altcoins because anytime the price is varying and sometimes I couldn't get a perfect timing to sell my coin when the coin value is up. Especially if I really need a money and I don't have a choice instead of selling my altcoins, value or price of the coin is never matters already.

You must calculate your capital on that coin first, for example now the price has given you profit 30 % from your capital, i think that is good time to sell your coins. If you want more profit, you may wait for few days again. But, remember that the price can be bubbled anytime, try to satisfy with less of profit and not to be greedy.

I think you must know it first if you can earn profit, before you decide to sell your coins. If you are in doubt just wait for the another chance, maybe the price will good on the other days. Because there's is possibility that the price will recover or rise immediately, then its the time to sell your coins.

I will tell you a bit of my experience playing with atlcoin from 2014. we have to pay attention to the risk is to maximize profit or we will go bankrupt. why do I say so? because the movement of altcoin is very fluctuating. we can not guess the price that will be through it any how, but we can estimate the price will be naiik or down. for altcoin andqa trading should have some capital large enough to avoid losses. in choosing altcoin also you should really know about the dev altcoin. I'm not saying that altcoin trade is always profitable, but if you can pick a good coin and read a candle chart well then the profits will often be obtained

I think you should decide the holding term before decide selling points. For long-term, you should buy with low price so that you might never be lost and you need to patient until  the price grow fast. For mid and short-term, buy and get 10% profit is cool way to protect yours invesment.

Of course when the price is at their highest and when that will happen? Of course that will happen to the end of the year because for unknown reason the prices of the coins of the cryptocurrency are rising up in the end of the year but of course that happens very quickly it just need days before they fall again. And my theory in that is maybe because that is Christmas season so a lot of people are buying cryptocurrency and a lot of people are also gonna sell when the see that the price is high so that makes a sudden fall
