Has anyone mentioned lately that ultracoin.net looks amazing -and quite professional.  Definite wow factor here.

I would like to make my suggestions, and hope that others will follow suit.  Constructive feedback is beneficial.

-When I search Google for "ultracoin", www.ultracoin.net is #2, following this thread in the #1 spot.  Perhaps steps could be taken to adjust PageRank.

-The fine print on the homepage states:  "Ultracoin is a hybrid proof-of-work / proof-of-stake coin whereby active nodes are involved in the mining of blocks if they maintain a UTC balance.
Ultracoin uses the Scrypt-Chacha algorithm, which ensures it cannot be mined by ASICs like other cryptocurrencies. Transactions are lightning-fast at just 30 seconds confirmation time."

First, I personally would prefer that "like other cryptocurrencies" was omitted, #%@$ other cryptos.  Second, I think that the semi-paragraph format of this info, combined with the small text, says "don't read this" to the visitor.  Key: most people are lazy.  Therefore, I would suggest bullet format with the BEST key points highlighted. There is a sub-page dedicated to further information if desired by the visitor.  Lastly, we have a lot of good news and progress lately -which is attractive to potential investors.  One thought would be to have a small news feed on the homepage (not to detract from the simple design) that highlights the latest positive news we want people to know about, since they may not (and probably won't) take the time to explore the entire site.

-JUST HOW FAST IS ULTRACOIN?  Are we the fastest crypto out there?  If the answer is yes...which I hope it to be...we should focus less on the numbers and advertise that!  If we are #1 at something, if we are officially the BEST at something, it should be at the forefront of our marketing campaign.  Everything that we are the best at should be our key points.  If we don't have enough things we are the best at...well then let's go back to the drawing board and iron that out.

-"FastCoin is currently THE FASTEST Complete Secure Transacting Crypto currency in the world!" -www.fastcoin.ca  ...hmmm

Just some thoughts from the peanut gallery.  But clearly we have some other issues that need addressed in the meantime.

This slow wallet needs to be fixed ASAP. everytime i open it, it takes longer to open. I have been waiting more than 10 minutes now.

some updates - the second blockexplorer is being updated. the dev is waiting for information from our coin dev to finish it.

the next version of the wallet with the leveldb fix will be released within 3-4 weeks. This should fix the slow opening problem, and also provide a more user-friendly upgrade process.

This slow wallet needs to be fixed ASAP. everytime i open it, it takes longer to open. I have been waiting more than 10 minutes now.
It took me 19 minutes of time when running yakminer. If miner does not work the time of opening the wallet is reduced.

CPU- Athlon X2 3.4GHz
OЗУ - 8Gb
W7 X64
SDD120Gb

Until the wallet does not have downloaded all the blocks that time is 3 seconds. When downloaded all blocks - 19 minutes.

Scrypt:
stratum+tcp://stratum.utcmultipool.com:3333 -u USERNAME -p PASSWORD

There is confusion, as far as I understand, instead of the USERNAME you specify WorkersNAME

Hardly anyone now of those who directly produces UTC going to get it on multipul. There should attract those who directly UTC mine cannot, however, the number of such users in this topic tends to zero. unless someone has Asiki running on other coins.

utcmultipool.com is now online.  Please pop in and test it.  During the test I am going to switch to coins less profitable (for short period only) but with low difficulty level in order to find blocks quicker and test payout system.

We will appreciate your constructive criticism.

What's coming on:
* addition a new wallet / coins
* addition of new options on the website
- edition of account
- edition of workers
- statistics for each coin
- charts
- and more

Nobody has sent me the settings?

I find yacminer is better

yacminer --scrypt-chacha --worksize 128 -g 1 --lookup-gap 3 --buffer-size 2590 -R 7680 -o stratum+tcp://<pool address>:<port> -u <username> -p <password> --nfmin 4 --nfmax 30 --starttime 1388361600

Try this for Ultracoin miner

--scrypt-jane --worksize 128 -g 1 --lookup-gap 3 --thread-concurrency 82880 -I 12 -o stratum+tcp://<pool address>:<port> -u <username> -p <password> --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600

I can't miss out on the opportunity.
Going to buy 2 BTC's worth of UTC this morning. Wish I had more to spare.

You won't regret  Wink

So that was fun. I put a buy order in on Cryptsy this morning for a set price based on the current market. Got home from work and only received about 5% of my buy price. WOW!
So I got tired of waiting and jumped my buy price up a notch. It's fun watching the 6hour market jump up in value because of one person. https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/163
I've got about .28 bitcoins left and cryptsy has the coin up to .00009 from .000085 in just one hour of trading. I don't care I'll buy the rest of what I got for .000091

It's so much fun playing in this market. Can't wait to see what happens on Sunday!

Cheers!

And now like a smart person who understands what freedom cryptocurrencies provide, I'm going to take all my coin out of cryptsy and put it in my wallet. I don't need an exchange or a bank to hold my coin for me. It's mine, not their's. I don't need to dig a hole in the backyard, or hid it in my mattress, or put it in a safety deposit box that the government could seize one day.

After one makes an exchange, get the F out!! And realize why this coin was created in the first place!

Cheers!!

Where is the "mining configurator" on the Ultracoin website (Ultracoin.net)Huh? It should be under the "mining" tab but I can't find it anywhere. I do not need it so don't send me a link, but how does any new miner know where it is?Huh

Here I will post the link if anyone needs it.
