Can anyone (preferable bumface) explain to me why this Flowertech Scrypt-N Miner isn't capable of mining UTC?
I need some tech facts / good background information about it, because I want to contact coindesk and ask them to write an article about the future of GPU mining..

the short answer is : the memory requirement is to high.

Ultracoin and X11 are amongst the few coins that are asic resistant.many miners will have to stop mining LTC and other popular scrypt coins soon, we will catch the fallout hopefully

So the word of the day is "migration". Learn it well. It's coming....

Judging by the fact that all popular algorithms sooner or later produced ASIC to release them under the script chacha matter of time.

there are not enough chacha coins to justify a 10 million dollar asic developement investment, we will just have to make Ultracoin 100 dollar to justify it Cheesy

Awesome, you have me on cloud 9 right now. This should be a sign to new investors, you truly are trying to create and protect this coin and it's investors!!
You guys rock!!

ZeusMiner will begin shipping out its first 500 Scrypt-Asics on May, 20th.
http://zeusminer.com/2014/05/07/progress-update-20140507/

Maybe there's already the reason for UTC's existance. Now we need to convince all GPU miners to switch to us.. Wink

could we make that #1 priory for the community to do. Tell the miners to move to UTC. Where are the best places to do this? Could we buy ad space on coinwarz etc etc or chat in mining forums? I will do my best to help. These miners looking at migrating are essential for UTC to rise into coinmarketcap top 10

You can start by voting this reddit comment here up:

The future of GPU miners lies clearly in asic-resistant Scrypt-Chacha coins like Ultracoin (UTC). Those will rise when ASICS begin to mine Scrypt coins. http://www.ultracoin.net/aboututc.html

Hi  Smiley

I was thinking that the block explorer @ http://bitgo.pw:3731/chain/Ultracoin needs a vanity URL.

I have ultracha.in and happy to donate it.

Good idea! Smiley

I could even host it.

I'm hoping there's a linux based open source bitcoin block explorer that can be modified to support the UTC blockchain.   I'd imagine writing one from scratch could be a ball ache.

No, just spam. All forums get it, might want to send a message to the admin and see if he can add captcha.

We will I think unless people in our community start to help and do their bit. Too many people sat on their arse doing nothing leaving it to DCGirl. If you have a spare 2 minutes just tweet or write on a forum/blog/troll box about UTC, its not difficult and all of us can do it. Every thing helps even if its a small thing.

Remember how we all grouped together to get on Crypsty. We need that community spirit all the time especially through these rough times.

Okay, thanks, DC girl!
I'm sorry to even bring it up. I know you have enough headaches on your plate. If it's worth anything, please realize that we appreciate all that you and the other dev's do.

I truly believe it's all about to pay off big time!!

I am still working on my block explorer. Made some headway recently, but still probably 2+ weeks out before I can get version 1 live. Just short on free time right now. Sorry for the delay guys.

the dev is now finalising the v3 update (1.0.3.0 Patch). , this concludes:

Rolled over to ybcoin fork.
Decresed load times by 90%.
Added new databse on intial start of new client.
Added Polish Language pack.
Added POS Start and POW block end heights.
Updated Checkpoints and stake modifiers
New splash.
Logo on wallet added.
Add stake mining checkbox- May not be in release.
RPC call listlatesttx to list latest tx.
Print more stake info while stake reward exceeded.
added support for pool mining in wallet(untested)

Notes:
On start up the wallet will create a new database, depending on the size of the db first load up may take a long time. It is recommended that you delete the blockchain and redownload it.

Well I have 25 x UTC USB credit card wallets being made

I have them ranging from 4 - 16 gb in size

I have Wallet address printed with matching QR codes on the back of it for fast send / receive transactions

I will also be installing custom bootable OS ( SLAX is looking about right for the task )
with web browser / QT wallet
mining software that will point to UTC Multipools / UTC mining pool
and can boot to RAM so you will not need to leave plugged in for mining

I am looking for idea's on how to sync the wallet somewhere for an Online backup

I will be selling them for either UTC or BTC

when they are in my hot little hands I will give more details

in the mean time if anyone has idea's on card design fire away

my quick mock-up job was based on ultracoins website , blue , welcome to future ect
