please be carefull with overclocking, you can burn your card. keep waching te tempertature..........maybe wit GPU-Z

I clocked through MSI Afterburner without increasing the voltage by simply changing the frequency. As far as I know without increasing the acceleration voltage is relatively safe.

Temperature monitors itself miner using commands

- auto-fan - temp-cutoff 90 - temp-overheat 85 - gpu-fan 85-100

you gotta watch the VRM's thats the GPU killer they should be no higher than 85 degrees

It just means you can't use normal scrypt miner settings.  You can still use cgminer, but it has to be modified for scrypt-jane.  If you have been mining successfully, just ignore this message as it is meant for people new to the coin only.

I could use some help with an issue on ultra-arb if anyone is willing to test something for me. A user has reported a problem with seeing the coin dropdown, on safari on a mac. It works fine on my mac, and I've been unable to replicate this. The problem is that the list of coins displays behind the buttons on the left side of the screen. Here's a screenshot of the problem:

Anyone that's willing to try this and see if they can replicate would be helping me out quite a bit! Thanks so much - DCGirl

While I very much like the idea of a UTC multipool IMHO you need to add way more coins for it to be viable.  I also checked around on some other multipools that I've used and unless I'm missing something dogecoin is the most profitable scrypt coin ATM and this pool isn't mining it. Why?

You'll never know what you're living for until you know what you're willing to die for.
Never look back, something might be gaining on you.

I just created a paper wallet and sent my coins to the address, but I can't see any transactions in the blockexplorer... Shouldn't there be one? Or does this just take a bit longer?

@ DCgirl
I know you are open to all suggestions...

So I want to throw this idea out...
Would it be feasible to implement a tab into the ultra-arb.com that shows a listing of the featured coins being mined with their current "net/hashrate"?
Wouldn't it give a better grasp to viewers what coins are doing in terms of mining. I see investors say that an unmined coin is a dead coin, but the same should be said for a coin that is the complete opposite and has way too much coin being mined and therefore dumped.
I'm just a plumber, so i wouldn't know if this has merit or not.
But I'd think it would give investors that are using your amazing new website ultra-arb.com a better grasp as to which coin that could currently be in the bull or in the bear, and give them extra incentive to make that buy or sell order - based off potential current or longterm net miner hashrate charts.

What are your thoughts DCgirl or anyone else?

absolutely a good idea. most important thing for me is that I can get the data, once I have data we can show anything we want. Any idea how to do this? Someone that publishes this data and makes it available through an api or some other method?

Well, I don't know stuff like that. But I can go to any pool miner and they usually have the net hash power already calculated into the dashboard or statistics tab. Would there be a way to gather that info from these pool sites?

Right now http://ultracoinpool.info/index.php?page=dashboard is showing a UTC net hashrate of 73 MH/s. And thank God for that!!! In my opinion that mean it's not being inflated!!!
Maybe Thiago1 could chime in on some tips to help out?

Cheers!

Pool hashrate for X11 has been fixed.

You are more than welcome to mine with us

http://utcmultipool.com/

Planning to add DRK and HIRO coins? Roll Eyes

Yes. Now we are testing newly added X11 algorithm with one coin only. Sadly Sad I think we are unlucky in finding the first block.

If everything goes alright, we will be adding new coins such as the ones you mentioned.

I believe the pow for summercoin is over, there are better x11 coins for the multipool with good exchanges . I had to pull the rigs away from the multipool for this reason.

Another idea...

So we have proof of work and proof of stake.
Why not a proof of donate??
And what if the coin could be programmed for all 3.

So take for example your official pool - ultracoinpool.info
Even though thiago wants transparency and would rather us donate extra to the official donate address...
...what if there were a way utilize either option in the future to gain interest?
What if people had a choice to choose from either proof of work, proof of stake, or possibly proof of donate?
I've been reading up on proof of stake. Looks mostly over my head but yet I've trying to grasp both sides of the story - and at one point I will start to utilize it.
However, from an imaginary so-called proof of donate standard, you have an easy trackable way to reward long term miners/investors with interest - that had previously provided donations via mining or via official dev address that would turn into a locked fund - so to speak. Imagine, it builds its interest upon a locked 100% guarantee proof of stake address fund. No one has to worry anymore about their personal wallet closing down and hurting their interest. Shareholders would only have wished they invested more, sooner.

Thoughts?

Interesting. I've been thinking of whether we could allow stake payouts to be directed to a different address, sort of to accomplish the same thing. So the coin itself would not probably need to be modified, instead the proof of stake payout address is modified, and perhaps the wallet could contain a "percentage designation" that would go to future development or something like that. Certainly worth some thought and discussion.
