My Wallet wont sync, anyone else got this problem?

Got ver 1.02

I got a other problem wit my wallet, and noticed more ppl had.

My wallet seems to work fine, only when starting/opening the wallet it takes very long time about 14 or 15 minutes.

Question for the dev team.... is this ok ? is this save ?

same here on mac osx. wallet takes forever to open. never know if its frozen or still functioning.

EDIT: now its open and the giant logo when launching is still hanging around on my screen.

And nanoprobe --- too funny?  You're lack of saying anything substantial does not make you come off as having some deep insight into the subject.  If you think I'm incorrect, perhaps you should explain how instead of leaving comments that try to suggest you know things that you likely don't.
I found your attempt to link bumfaces' suggestion on pricing to the Sherman Act to be quite hilarious since it #1, it doesn't apply in any way shape or form to what he said and #2, he doesn't reside in the US which makes any correlation to the Sherman Act irrelevant and since there is no correlation, well, I hope that makes it clear to you. Nice try though. Over and out.  Tongue

Dev's...
I've read through the recent posts but couldn't find any previous concerns already addressed.
My question is...
What is the reason for ultracoinpool.info asking that no one donate extra on the mining? What's up with that? I want to help out as best I can for this coins future, and I've already sent some extra to DCgirl. I will send some more. But what is with the real reason behind the change?

Again,
Thanks for everything!

Agreed. But the recent influx of daytraders have no loyalty. Yet they are all the while spreading the attention.

Here's a good set of charts for comparison:
BTC 7 day
http://coinmarketcap.com/btc_7.html
UTC 7 day
http://coinmarketcap.com/utc_7.html

That should speak volumes on any longterm investor's plate.
Get it while it's still low and hold!!

Tongue

which is what I said.... That UTC is not covered by it.  But if this were a regulated market, good luck saying you aren't a us citizen when telling people to set a certain price and hold it.  I'm only familiar with US laws, but I'm pretty sure every 1st world nation has such laws.  So I stick by what I said, that in the market the brave was talking about, its illegal.

why are you so keen to argue this point.  There is no ambiguity here.  I clearly defined the situation in which it would be illegal and said its not for UTC.  The whole point was that bumfaces response was equally ridiculous claiming he was being defamed and that the beave was the criminal.  And somehow that saying please means it isn't price fixing.

I don't think there isn't any other words for it than price fixing, legal or not.

Well I'm going to regret getting involved in this conversation, and my inbox will overflow again, but here goes. What's missing from this conversation is that the definition of price fixing, at least in the US, as I remember from my work on stock exchange software, is that it also is done in secret. Retailers band together in secret to set prices of goods, or institutions or companies band together, in secret, to plan stock manipulation.

Bitcointalk is about as secret as someone shouting HODL in the trollbox. Now, if bumface had pulled all miners into a private IRC chat and they all agreed to set sell orders at a certain level, then that would definitely be price fixing. Posting wishful thinking in a public forum falls far short of that.
