I today add my and friends ~80 rigs to greekpool from nitro to help utc.
Thank you, you always been an asset to this community. Greekpool: 7.7 MH/s vs now 17.68 MH/s I must sleep noow. Tomorrow i add more power. Now mining utc on greekpool will be without orphans. Thank You. How to find whether a pool have orphans? Most pools say "Block" somewhere in the menu. Click on it will tell you the block info, who found it, how many confirmations left or if it is confirmed or if orphaned OK if a block is orphaned then what happened next? Not exactly sure on the details but It means that no one in that pool gets credit for finding or solving it and the block reward is not paid out to that pool. I think the block reward may end up at another pool because the block was actually solved or confirmed by them first. OK ,If the hashrate spread to all pools and be even ,then orphan things will not happen.so the only way to solve the orphan things is to spread the hashrate over all pools.Right? The hashrate does not need to be even, but a good distribution among 4 or 5 pools is much better. Pools will still get orphans just not as much. If one pool has a lot of hashpower like Nitro did, then they can cause other pools to get lots of orphans. Then why are the miners still gathering in only one pool, just to let orphan things happen? why not go other pool ,guys? I guess there are a few reasons why. A lot of miners started with nitro from the beginning, it is a well run pool and the operator, TheStuhlman, is known in the community so it had large numbers right away. Other pools also had ok numbers but the orphan problem started then also the increasing n-factor caused some minors headaches to configure their miners so they quit mining UTC and as the orphan problem got worse Nitro ended up with most of the hash power. Most miners not willing to switch pools on their own just to mine orphaned blocks so the problem needed a co-ordinated effort from half the miners on the pool. At least now the hashrate is getting divided and hopefully other pools will grow making UTC more inviting to new miners. Looks like things getting much better now.

But the price of utc is not better Sure, price right now is low but also stabilizing. it's been a bad few weeks for cryptos and the UTC volume is low which means most are holding their coins. Developers are working hard and upgrades to wallet are in the works. Good time to mine this coin as diff is low and I think those who mine and HOLD now will be smiling later.

spam much? 6 out of the last 9 replies are yours... you only need to reply once. I think Stuhlman has gone above and beyond to try to rectify what the community refuses to do itself. Harming himself financially to the extent he already has to assist UTC is more than he needed to do. If you want to pay his bills and put the money he'll be losing into his pocket for him to shut down for a week, PM him, make him an offer.... let us know what he says!

Progress report:
The devs are working hard on the phase 2 wallet update, and are making great progress.
This update will feature:
-Heartbleed fix
The heartbleed bug exposed vulnerabilitys in the OpenSSL protocol,on the reccomendation of the bitcoin core developers we are taking action to ensure the safety of our community, this also shows we are on top of the developements as an active team.
-Coincontrol
This fix allows users to keep old coins for maximum pos reward, and only spend newer coins that came into the wallet.
-Change the blockreward
As you know the current model turned out to be unsustainable,so we had to take action to ensure the interest of everyone. In this original model the daily supply is 144000 as opposed to LTC`s 25000.This means there has to be at least 6 times more demand for UTC then there is for LTC.This is an unrealistic expectation for a new coin, aswell as having 52% of the total coins mined in the first year.
We are taking an eco friendly route and all mining will be completed within 6 years time from now,we will have a blockreward of 15 for 4 years, and then a blockreward of 10 for 2 years. After this 6 year perdiod we are transitioning into 100% pos,and 10 million UTC will be distributes as POS rewards.
Dcgirl is working on the arbitrage program and its going to be a powerfull tool to expose arbitrage pathways to gain profit from. This fantastic it wil be based on a freemium model, that means the program is free ,and you can get enhanced features and functionality by monthly subscryption. We are doing this because we need to fund the developement funds to attend more conventions like the sweden conference where i was aksed to attend an altcoin panel.
We are also developing the ingame payment strategy , as well as communicating with a company about an online payment processor.
many nice developements in the Ultracoin community so stay tuned! Plz show this on TOP PAGE

I don't think so,if he don't s shut down, maybe the utc will die or the price of the utc will go down further which do Stuhlman more harm for Stuhlman may have 1,000,000 utc or so.The price is more important to big owner like Stuhlman than quantity.

UTC p2pool Second test session: I fixed some of the previous bugs in p2pool, I'm running another test session if you want to join me. Thanks for the people already pointing to the p2pool, so once i put it up again, it already had 5 mH/s the forks works better now, and shares are accepted from all addresses and expected payout looks fine, I hope we will find a block soon! Please point your miners here: http://thepool.pw:8336and use your UTC address as username for example -o http://thepool.pw:8336 -u UZupsSvwk... you will receive payments directly to your address after block is found! Please understand this is only a test, so no results are guaranteed, so just help with the hashrate you can afford to lose How goes the effort on p2p pool ? has the UTC dev finished the alterations to wallet to support p2p yet

The fact that everyone mines at nitro and wont switch is not Stuhlman's fault its all the miners. It is not Stuhlman's responsibility to keep UTC alive it is the community's. Also who is gonna pay the expenses if he closes nitro for a few weeks? Its not free to host pools. Stop asking for Nitro to be shut down every 2 posts and move to another pool. The shit price has got nothing to do with nitro pool. There isnt enough buy support, that is why the price is low. Now go do something productive to help UTC, and stop posting shit on the thread.

I am not saying it's anybody's fault, but shut down the nitro pool is a good way to prevent the fear of 51% attacking. And actually it may happen.I don't mean Stuhlman is not worthy trust, Stuhlman is a good man and worthy trust, but the possibility of 51% attacking exists ,maybe he lost password ....and the hacker who knows the password may make 51% attacking .Why is not enough buy support? The fear of 51% attacking must be one of the reasons. We need to do something to deminish or overcome the fear.Everyone FEAR something. Spiders, heights, angry bees. ...Buyers do fear 51% attacking " who is gonna pay the expenses if he closes nitro for a few weeks?" If the utc died, there is no valuable of his 1000000 UTC,and if shuttig down really do work, the buyers pay the bill for the price may be 10 times higher than now It is a way ,a solution, not shit.I'm the one doing something productive to help UTC, not you.

Do anyone see the new coin - AIDEN | First Crypto to use Scrypt-OG ?
The nfactor is 6, so it is easy to mine with ram < 4G. And also ASIC-RESISTANT now.
Hope UTC can low down the nfactor to be mining in a easy way, this will bring more and more miner.
