we will get a lot of orphans as nitro is dictating the hash power ...

with my cards 290x i am getting constant 68 kh at utc.epari.bg  but we have orphans too.

spread the load and all will be fine even for smaller pools - i believe bumface will agree with me.

7950 Asus

1050/1575  51kh without HWs
i got 51kh from each my 7950 asus cards and the WU is 205 for 4x cards without even HW so think that is my best setting.
Code:
 ultracoinminer (poolinfo) --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 --thread-concurrency 60000 --intensity 18 --lookup-gap 3 --gpu-powertune 20 --worksize 256 --gpu-dyninterval 5 --no-submit-stale -g 1 --scan-time 1 --expiry 10 --queue 0

but i cant find a good setup for my 7950 vapor sapphire.  i cant get more than 35kh and i have hw too so could someone share his config please?

What clocks are u running?

Also get about 50kh/s @1030/1500 now, no hw errors.
Code:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

280x @ 55Kh/s & WU 50+

1. Used latest YACMiner. https://github.com/Thirtybird/YACMiner/releases
2. Use following settings: (Confirmed working on XFX, Asus & Gigabyte 280x)

Quote
yacminer.exe --scrypt-chacha -o <pool> -u <id.worker> -p <password> -R 8000 -g 1 -w 128 --buffer-size 2656 --lookup-gap 3 --temp-cutoff 85 --nfmin 4 --nfmax 30 --starttime 1388361600

Note: This will ONLY work on a PC with 8GB "physical" RAM regardless of VM size. (I tried up to 32GB)
I've confirmed this as it failed on all my 4GB rigs I have until I upgraded it to 8GB. Then it just works.
My 55Kh/s was achieved even with my 280x only running at 1025/1500 @ 1.065v. You may get higher.  Smiley

If this helped, my UTC address is:  Grin

Does it really need to be 8GB RAM? anyone here tried 4GB RAM on YacMiner?

Thanks, my 7970 now gets 66khs compared to the 50ish i was getting on my best attempt with ultracoin miner.

Except network diff in this new yacminer says 59k while its actually 0.8k whats up with that?

I'm glad it worked! 66Kh/s is a nice hash rate.

No idea. But yeah, it's not like the other miners were not that much better anyways with Ultracoin.
I hated it just showing the difficulty as 3. It could be 3.01 or 3.99 but it just shows as 3.  Sad

Very nice ! When using yacminer one of my cards seem to be lagging behind. Works fine with cgminer. Does anyone know a good fix for this?

Try either lowering the buffer size a little or try lowering the -R a little. (Increments of 64 for each will do)

4GB works with YACMiner also.

But I had to use lower buffer and rawintensity or it would disable my GPUs.
My last successful 4GB setting was -R 6144 and -buffer-size 1760.

Hey some 290 settings, this will give 62khash at 977core :

--scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 -I 16 -g 1 -w 64 --thread-concurrency 85000 --lookup-gap 3

This is better than going 90000 TC with lookup-gap 4. Itensity of 17 and higher slows the system by a huge amount(at least for me). There may be room for improvement but I have already achieved 280x/290 ratio of 0.81. I have 8gb of ram + 16gb of pagefile(set as a constant).

If helped Cheesy: UmC3d5BemAaKDhEwpiGo2EQuyYMvWDpS1r

Getting 66khs with 0 HW on 1040/1400 with 3 times r290

Albert, try these and see what you get for hashrate and if any HW errors, all these 7950 are different. I see you have Elpida memory. I have six of those and they work better than the ones with Hynex, although I think it is the vrm that is less quality. After each setting open up GPU-Z and check the sensors tab to see how much memory you are using on the card, more is better and usually gives a better WU. I have learned that using HWInfo is better and more accurate than GPU-Z for win8.1
1)      -g 2 --thread-concurrency 19712 --lookup-gap 2 -I 12
2)      -g 2  --thread-concurrency 23296 --lookup-gap 3 -I 12
3)      -g 2  --thread-concurrency 16128   --lookup-gap 2 -I 12

NOTE: The n-factor is about to change so these settings might not work, you have about an hour! so maybe just wait.

I tried and the best is the number 2, I am getting 18kh/s

First, try to increase the buffer size a little until you hit the limit where it fails. (In increments of 64)
If it fails to go up, then try either lowering the buffer size a little or try lowering the -R a little. (Increments of 64 for each will do for both)
Basically, more R will fit into a larger buffer. Goal is to fit as much R into the buffer size without it going over. (end up with HW or fails)

As it stands if Ultra Nitro doesn't slash the hash rate, it IS INDEED AN ATTACK ON THE NETWORK.
As you are stealing completed work from other pools and thus in - effect canceling out legitimate UTC TRANSACTIONS IN FAVOR OF YOUR OWN (pretty much the very definition of a 51% attack).
"you solved that block 20 minutes ago? well F@#* YOU i just solved mine, yours doesn't count" that's what nitro essentially is doing atm.

The way the network is structured atm , there is no point in even having any other pools, and all the pools will die.
Some people are fine with that, but honestly thats not healthy for the coin, the entire idea is decentralization for the purpose of security and preventing forks.

You are attacking legitimate miners and pools causing them to slip bellow profitability thresholds required to maintain the pool, thus far other pools have been generous slashing rates, lowering %'s and doing promo periods, but they can't keep it up forever they have costs.
What kind of coin only has "one pool"?
FIX YOUR SHIT.

And if words are too hard to comprehend here is a picture.

At the very least make a "nitro 2" or something and have different work assigned to it, and use a server to balance the hash rate to different stratums to decrease orphans and possibility of forks.

Simply moving 25% of nitros hash to a "nitro2" network would improve the situation.

There is a nitro2 i noticed, but i just switched to utc.greekpool.eu with my 2 miners doing around 450 Kh/s

Lets hope Orphan's are going to be less!

guys we are aware of the hashrate distribution, and we are working on solutions.

but at the end of the day its the miners that choose were to mine, this is not nitro`s fault....

this is a self perpetuating situation, nobody leaves nitro becasue they dont want orphans at other pools, but if enough people left, those other pools wont even have any orphans..

I can not force people to switch, i paid 5000 UTC to move people......

If miners refuse to leave my hands are tied

set the fee's to 3% on nitro1 and 1% on nitro2, at least you balance between your two pools Smiley

What have I missed?  Why has the hashrate halved on UTC?  Sorry if it's been discussed I don't want to read 592 pages.
