One has a pre-mine of 10% and the other has a pre-mine of 50%.
Both are plain scrypt with no PoS.
They have slower block times than UTC.
Both have KGW which I think is inferior also.
Both are not suitable as a global currency like UTC.

Lastly, UTC was released much earlier than them and also is still the fastest that's for sure.
So UTC is still the best coin that came out of a Dutchman. =p

With the way profits are looking nowadays with GPUS, its pretty much time to dump GPUS on ebay  Grin all those gamers are going to get their mega discount this month.

Let's face it BTC isn't heading over 600$ again for months if not years, and by the time we can spin  up the old rigs again, the new gpus will have made them obsolete.

Best to start dumping graphics cards on ebay / building computers and selling them to get back some of that $$$$ with any luck most of us have atleast broke even / gotten close to break even and selling the gpus at a loss from their purchase price should still net a profit.

Alt coins aren't going to have good price retention when Bitcoin is dropping 100$ a week.

My GPU's have almost all gone, I just have the one that needed repair by manufacturer left (as it is only now on it's way back from being fixed).
All the others have gone, the big 8 card rig and my little computer with 1 card in, just have to wait quietly for myViper to arrive in several months now Sad

How do I verify that I have activated POS correctly?

I typed the relevant stuff in to the console, hit enter, it went green, followed by an empty line, and that's it.

Not sure if it is working or not.

Thanks!

In console, type "getmininginfo" (no quotes), and in the listing you should see:  "hashespersec" : #.  If # is 0 then something was done incorrectly, otherwise you will see a number.

<edit>  My bad...you should also see "generate" : true.  Then you are doing POS.

To all the UTC gentlemen around:
Prices dipping, boo f*g hoooooo!...
Be patient and forgiving for another 15-20 days.

You will see the light
when prices bounce.

For the others:
it's during these 15-20 days that you can get cheap coins.
In 3-4 weeks it will already be a tad late
and leave a bad taste
in your mouths...

Just want to make a common sense point:

No one ever made profit buying crypto when the price was up.  We all know that UTC is way undervalued at the moment.  If you are not buying because you are tapped out, well that just sucks.  But if you are not buying because the price has gotten quite low..well now that just doesn't make much sense does it?  And I can tell you that it certainly won't make dollars.  Happy trading:)

Speculation at its finest Smiley  Anyone holding a coin has to believe that, otherwise they wouldn't be holding it...  It may just be a lack of demand for the coin.
