So let me ask this... if my wallet was not updated at this point, all of the coins in that wallet are "gone"?   Huh
No..
But old wallet will not work.
Remember to backup your old wallet in safe place (file wallet.dat in roaming\ultracoin directory)

Thanks for the medical assistance.  You prevented a myocardial infarction.  No time for that today with UTC back on the map.
Sure, no problemos  Grin

Excellent move, block reward of 15 is amazing, I congratulate UTC developers for this. I with others had the courage to do this. I predict excellent things for UTC.

Funny you don't see that "to da moon" BS on this forum at the moment.

I am going to guess that it's because we have a more professional community, or... because we all know that even at .0005 UTC will still be way undervalued!

any have config for R9 270 pls
Here's mine:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
del scrypt-jane*.bin
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://utc.greekpool.eu:3337 -u user -p password --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 -w 128 -I 12 --thread-concurrency 35840 -g 1 --lookup-gap 3 --gpu-engine 1150 --gpu-memclock 1450 --gpu-powertune 20 --no-submit-stale --expiry 10 --scan-time 1 --queue 0

It gives ~31.5 Kh/s and WU ~29. Maybe someone has better settings? I have 4 GB RAM and 2 GB graphics RAM Win 7 and Win 8.1 both 64 bit. 13.12 drivers.

MANDATORY WALLET UPDATE!!!!

UPDATE YOUR WALLET,OR GET LEFT BEHIND ON THE OLD CHAIN!!

DOWNLOAD:

http://xwebhosting.org/utc/Ultracoin-release-1.0.2-qt.rar

MAC wallet coming soon!!

HOW TO UPDATE THE WALLET:

Step 1 : Type %appdata% in the windows search box (you see it when you click the start button)

Step 2 : Find the ultracoin folder

Step 3 : Copy the wallet.dat into a backup folder, do NOT delete or cut it!

Step 4 : Delete everything in the appdata/ultracoin, but DO NOT DELETE THE WALLET.DAT

Step 5 : Download this file http://xwebhosting.org/utc/Ultracoin-release-1.0.2-qt.rar

Step 6 : Extract the folder from the download somewhere,now drag the Ultracoin-qt.exe from the new download into your normal wallet folder (not into the
            appdata/ultracoin folder but your wallet folder)

Step 7 : Click yes when it asks do you want to replace the file.

Step 8 : Start the wallet,it will now download the entire blockchain again (this will take some time).

-This update protects Ultracoin and its users from the recently discoverd heartbleed bug

-This update implements coincontrol so you can spend only the newest coins, and leave old coins alone for maximum POS rewards.

-This update changes the blockreward from 50 to 15 per block, this will start at block 240.000. This is because the old model turned out to be unsustainable.We are responsible devs, so we had to take action to prevent damage further down the road.

Slow loading of the wallet will be adressed in the v3 update (this is the v2 update).

I have tested this on 2 PC`s and have updated my own wallet with succes without compromising the funds  Cheesy

The new reward schedule is as following:

-4 years blockreward 15

-2 years blockreward 10

-full POS (roughly 1 to 1,5 million coins will be distributed after full POS goes in effect, POS % will be 2% at this time)

So there will only be 6 years of mining in total.We are doing this to build a sustainable model and incoorporate an eco friendly strategy.After we have reached the total of 100 million coins in the final full POS stage, we will enable mandatory fees on every transaction to make sure people get rewarded for being an active node.

As a final point I wish to make : remove all sell orders and replace them at 0.003BTC if you refuse to sell for less then 0.003, this will become the new low, and everybody wins.The miners, the holders the traders.

With this price of 0.00007 nobody wins so stop dumping and let it rise.This pricepoint does not reflect the true value of Ultracoin.

the only reason we are this low is because of a defective supply model (whish has now been repaired) combined with hacked exchanges and DDOS.

I want to make it perfectly clear that Ultracoin is changing into a new better version of itsself.Weak players have been replaced by strong and capable individuals such as Dcgirl,xwebnetwork and Jakoblight.Mistakes were made but Lessons were learned.If i could go back in time i would do certain things differently,but im not a coingenerator making useless coins,so i made some mistakes.This is how we learn.

I made UTC and i am sticking with it for the rest of my life.I have been very fortunate to have people on board now who share this vision.Together we will emerge victorious in the altcoin market by continuously https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=413978.msg6326450#msg632645 re-inventing ourselves.This active Team can always use more people so if you feel you have something to add, or a specific task you want to do or are good at, let us know at ultracoin@outlook.com.

Team UTC is working very hard every day, to bring new innovations, Dcgirl is finalising the arbitragetool that will expose many opportunitys for profit, we are developing in game payment plugins starting with Minecraft (30 million people community and 500.000 servers).

We are still in contact with a company discussing an online payment processor,if this deal follows through this would take place in the summer

There is no reason why this request can not be granted by everybody, what reason could somebody possibly have to sell this low.

Let us join forces and bring Ultracoin to a pricepoint that is reflecting the actual developements, Team dedication and true potential.

In the future we will do more marketing,but we will never be a coin that is 99% fluff and 1% content.We will always stand for something, and once people are done with fluff coins they will come to UTC,and we will welcome them with open arms into the Ultracoin family.

thanks alot dear bumface for info ... love UTC  Kiss

What will happen after 6 years of mining when all coins are mined? Is it still going to be the same amount of UTC in circulation? Some coins/wallets may get lost and what then? Is POS mechanism the answer? Sorry for noob qestions.

10 or 15 million UTC wil be distributed at that time in a no mining- full POS period, at that time the pos reward will be 2%, this will last aproximatly 10 years,so 16 years from now.Then a mandatory fee will be enabled on every transaction, to reward nodes.

Hello,
I have the Linux CLI version of the wallet, and I want to know how to use the PoS.
When using the "getinfo" command, I could see my balance but stake = 0.0. Should I need a command to put some coins on stake ?

Also, if I remember, the PoS choose one client (ie, wallet ?) holding coins to get a reward. But how the client is getting it ? Should he mine it ? How to accomodate with GPU mining ?

Code:
Ultracoind getinfo
{
    "version" : "v1.0.0.0-apqq-beta",
    "protocolversion" : 70050,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
---

And if Devs could answer that too...

What does change (in %) on mintpal mean (now is +63.77%)? Is it 24 hour change or what? Since trading is going all the time, what period is taken to note THE change?
