Apologies for being so quiet over the last two days. I've spent a lot of time thinking, and talking to members of the community, and realized that I owe it to all of you to explain why I'm leaving ultracoin.

I've spent the last 3 months working close to 7 days per week for Ultracoin. This was my choice. I've learned a lot, and hopefully made crypto a little bit better. Now I'm facing several more months of development work, for the minecraft plugin and ultra-arb premium. I just can't do it. This amount of work needs a development team, not one developer. And we don't have that.

But my issue isn't really about the work. I like to work hard. But I like to work hard when everyone else is, and when I get support. That leads to the two main reasons I'm leaving. I just don't see the same level of dedication and commitment from our founder, and that is really too much for me to take. He should be working harder than any of us. Instead I work and work and the work just keeps coming, with no let up and no support.

Now I understand that everyone has outside commitments. None of us are being paid to do this work. But its really hard to commit yourself month after month and not see that commitment matched. If this community does anything, it really needs to make sure that is addressed.

And this community. I've made so many good friends here. But I also am so disappointed. I create apps, write columns and get publicity - and all of that work goes to waste because the community shows so little support.People post here all the time saying its "not their job" to publicize things. Well, guess what? I'm not getting paid. Its not my job either. Its like a slap in the face to see that my work is so undervalued that you can't even send one tweet about it.

No other coin except doge and bitcoin gets the kind of publicity ultracoin gets and the community has squandered all of that. Sometimes I feel like I could build a car powered by ultracoin and the community will stay silent, and then wonder why the price is falling.

So, I've decided to move on. If things change - and I mean major changes - I may come back. In the meantime, please understand that I don't regret a minute of this. You all mean the world to me. I just can't do this anymore.

DCGirl

if you are leaving or get rid of utc, don't speak out. the leaving news make the price go down to 0.00002
It's idiots like you that have made her decision easier.

COMMUNITY LEADER MESSAGE:

In a recent discussion with UCM b3da, he stated, "UTC is highly usable cryptocurrency. There is simply no time to lose in some moments. But, to take the coin seriously, to use it as a business instrument, you need infrastructure. I take this as stepping to the next level, every vote counts." For this reason, he decided to contribute to our cause and donate two aluminum wallets as prizes.  "They can serve as practically indestructible cold storage... as well as an everyday, convenient way to use your favorite cryptocurrency!"

Earlier this week we had several other UTC donations from some of our most generous UCMs and core team members.  Those donations were pledged based upon various stipulations associated with CoinPayments.net voting.  Sadly, we did not reach our 100 votes by Wednesday (Goal 1) or by Saturday (Goal 2).  However, we did have some outstanding participation and support that drove Ultracoin to its current first place position.

With that, several UTC donors have agreed to give the UCMs one more opportunity to win some UTC.  5500 UTC in total, along with two Ultracoin aluminum wallets.  All we have to do is keep UTC at number one and win this voting contest -which we WILL DO with your continued support.

Voting ends March 31st.  The drawing will conducted on June 1st.  The prizes are set:

1st Place: 3000 UTC

2nd Place: 1500 UTC

3rd Place: 1000 UTC

4th Place: Ultracoin Aluminum Wallet

5th Place: Ultracoin Alluminum Wallet

Any last minute donations will be added to the first place prize pot.  All entries must be submitted by email to ultracoinx@gmail.com along with confirmation that you voted and your bitcointalk username for tracking.  All listed entrants, algorithm for random selection, and winners will be available for review.  Winner will be required to respond within 5 days on this thread before being prizes will be released.  Best of luck to all voters.  Special thanks to all of those donated their precious UTC for to support this.  And thank you, b3da, for donating two of your aluminum wallets.  Excellent examples of why we call Ultracoin a "community coin".

Prize wallet:  UPMBqYo5idGrCUop212N29DLNFNV4KNiTe  (feel free to donate and post to thread if you do.)

Also, please check out Ultracointalk for specific topics of discussion.  Did somebody say twitter bot?  Lets discuss, what is it; why do we need one?

Have a great week.

Keep voting people. This could provide a much needed bump for UTC! And you get free UTC! Can't beat that!

Well anyway, this is another reason everyone should be signing up at UltracoinTalk.org/, the community can have a legitimate discussion while creating a priority for certain topics. It would be a great idea to start migrating over.

BitcoinTalk is getting rediculous, we can't keep using the same thread to communicate. We need to divide discussions that way we can stay on topic. Please, if you haven't already, please consider signing up at UltracoinTalk. If you make a post here, make the same post over there too! It will help bring the crowd over. I understand that BitcoinTalk is the fastest way to get a response, but as long as we start discussions we will eventually migrate over.

Also, checkout the photo rig contest that is still open until the end of next month. You are eligible for several prizes when you enter which are listen on the thread, and you are even eligible for a prize just by signing up to the site.

and this was the 100th vote - thanks to my crypto crazy daughter.

THIS CONTENT IS DELETED
------------------------------------------------------
Due to advice - I have now deleted the confirmation details since its claimed this is against some rule mentioned in an earlier post?

Its not against the coinpayments.net rules - so it must be something peculiar to the contest that UTC is running - but I can't find it?

These be the RULES - nothing here about posting confirmation. The links dead after its used.   Really could not give a toss. If I won any prize I would donate to a UTC Android wallet anyhow.  Thanks.

CoinPayments Charity Coin Vote
Building on our experiences in our previous public votes and after weighing our options, we have decided to hold this public coin vote off of our usual forum. This should open it up to even more people since they won't have to register for an account there.

This time we've also turned the vote into a charity drive for The Water Project. Each vote will require a donation of 0.001 BTC (or LTC/DOGE equivalent) with a side effect of helping deter paid vote manipulation.

Rules
Only 1 vote is allowed per person. Additional votes will replace your earlier votes. Votes determined to be fraudulent or paid-for will not be refunded (the funds will of course still be donated to the charity). Doing any of the following will disqualify your vote: (Sorry we have to take such a hard line on this, we just have rampant cheating during each vote.)
Starting a vote then having someone else do the donation.
Placing a vote then getting a reimbursement or reward of any value (for example: crypto or fiat currency, access to a site that normally requires payment, coupons or discounts, etc.)
Using Tor or similar = automatic disqualify (during our last vote we only had 3 valid votes from Tor users)
IPs listed in HTTP:BL or other spambot/botnet blacklist = automatic disqualify
This is not a complete list, anything that violates the spirit of the rules will be disqualified.
Remember: This vote is not about trade volume (a lot of that volume is people trading the coin for BTC/LTC or to hold for long term investment) or which coin backers have the biggest advertising budgets; it is about how many people genuinely want to purchase items using a particular coin.

you dont need to worry about cheats.  coinpayments will remove the extra votes when they do the final count, and one vote per person/ip will be counted.  tor voting, proxy voting, bot votes they will all be deleted at the end but their btc still passed on to the charity Cheesy.  Its all in their rules Wink

wow, such drama unfolding before my eyes!
I felt like in front of my television set when there's some lousy brazilian soap opera for coach potatoes like me.
That's right your hear me, I'm obese and coach potato and I don't care about anything.
But here, awmygod, what a bursting laugh I had at the reading of this comedy, tears and all, wow!
Please carry on ladyboys and ladies, I'm really entertained and feel myself reimbursed for the lost coins of the lost cause.
Been a pleasure, and sorry for the loss guys.
Now I'm just waiting for any whale to come and rape the coin one last time through PnDs to finish up the job, and we'll be all set.
Good luck.
