Some people reported that thumbnail changing does not work. I was not able to reproduce this. Can somebody confirm please if this bug still exists and if yes how to reproduce it? Thanks!

https://www.bitmit.net/en/item/15818-5x-cr2032-coin-cell-batteries

I recently updated the item description of this item. Before I did the update, the first picture (with all five batteries in a cardboard pack) was used for the thumbnail. After the update, the thumbnail switeched to the last picture (with a single battery, upside down). I can't change the thumbnail selection back. The only way to do it is to delete the picture I want to use as a thumbnail and re-upload it. It seems Bitmit will always select the last uploaded picture for thumbnails when I edit old item listings.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Thx for this detailed bug tracking. I will care about this. Fixed!

Update:
- Outgoing transactions are processed within 5 minutes
- Incoming transactions that get confirmed very late are going to be credited once they are confirmed, without a support ticket Wink

So I accidentally clicked on one of your ADs and that freaked me out!

Could you please make sure no shady phishers place ads on bitmit? I want to feel save when surfing on bitmit.

"Rent this adslot: CoinURL Bitcoin Advertising" was the right most slot. I wondered if you had not been able to rent out this slot aka I did not realize it actually was a third party link and clicked to see how the auction was going, not realizing that it was actually 2 links so I was surprised to see some russian page.

Please make clearer what is third party ad and what is your ad beyond doubt.

Edit: Even worse, the link is a forward. I had hovered the mouse to see if it was a bitmit link and as it was, I clicked. Bad!

Do you have a way to sell 'Local Pickup' only?

Anyone having any problems withdrawing? I have a withdraw that has been pending for well over 7 hours.

Edit: Received word from support staff, they said there was a large withdraw and they are currently refilling their out-processing wallet. They said it shouldn't take more than 4 more hours. Will report back with update.

Exactly. Transaction has been sent Smiley

At this time we don't have an explicit option for that. Of course you can put "local pickup" into the shipping description.

Nice to hear from you again Wink Currently we are running one adslot in test coorperation with coinurl. They only allow reviewed links and are checking the links frequently. What kind of shady ad did you see? You might have seen a Russian CoinURL page because of your ip/browser settings (TOR?).

Yes the links is a forwarder to track the clicks. We may improve this next week.

Update:
- Sell area design refreshment
- My orders design refreshment
   --> My bids greatly improved
- Item sell page loads faster

When escrow with physical goods works wonderful even without any id verification we find ourselves constrained to do something against the upcoming frauds with digital goods. Unfortunately escrow does not help a lot when the delivery can be reversed (stolen gift cards, paypal etc.).

From today on we require a tiny verification before new sellers can start selling on Bitmit. We require to submit First & Lastname, a valid phone number and to explicitly accept our terms which deny selling of illegal goods etc. This should make it more clear that we are not accepting such stuff and hopefully reduce the number of frauds/illegal items.

I'm having a problem where people are paying for orders, but it isn't showing up as paid on the order page.

I know that this has happened for at least one order, and may have happened on another order I just received.

Give it a second guys . They are probably dealing with it . GTA 5 made over a billion dollars but still had connection problems , bitmit surely has the right to malfunction time to time.

Hopefully, we'll have a response. I bought and sold something last night and it all went smooth. Although, I'm a bit wary now until this has been sorted.

Transaction delay
So sorry for the delayed transaction procession. Our BTC daemon crashed and the automatic restart did not work properly. We had to wait for our technical engineer because due to our security policy access to our Bitcoin server is very restricted (four-eyes principle).

All transactions are up to date and almost all outgoing transactions are processed right now.

Bitcointalk.org hack
Bitcointalk.org was hacked and the attackers managed it to steal the database. The passwords were strongly encrypted but we recommend to all people who have used the bitcointalk.org password on any other service, to change it on these!

Charity
We sponsored 1 BTC to the charity project http://www.bitcoinnotbombs.com/hoodie-the-homeless/ . They are buying hoodies for homeless US citizens who cannot afford warm winter clothes.
