I think it'd be helpful to know some site usage stats, for sellers anyway. So we can get a guage as to how our item is performing vs others, or whether pretty limited activity is the norm. Average site-wide sales per day/week/month etc.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Allright, I will care about this.

Update:
Database optimization ---> many parts of the site load way faster now (especially sold items list)

Also does the amount of times a listing has been viewed, include the number of times the seller has viewed it?

flowthis has 2 transactions. one is that he won one of my auctions. he did not give me an address or pay or reply to any of my messages within 2 weeks and i could not cancel the auction neither. This item is still dangling around and after I told him to not send any money cause I burned the books, he gave me a negative rating ("come back").

Hey, thank you *****! I would like to get rid of this old old item in my sell area (sold) that I have no need for and I would also actually want to get rid of that ridiculous negative vote. Anyway I hope there is some better way to handle things with people that don't react.

Haha lol. Didn't you notice: There are no bids on items. Filter for auctions and search for "0 Bids". There is almost no auction that is not highlighted by your search.
I assume "hot auctions" are auctions with bids but these are only some 5, most with just one bid.

Feature request: Incentive to get many bids aka to offer below price.

The "( Sell similar item)" is cool but has several issues:
#1 on my linux/chromium I can't scroll unless I scroll within the text box first. People are basically stuck to change the pictures and submit. Very weird bug.
#2 I have the impression the resulting items don't get listed under "recently added" which is fair if I split my "2 gold coins" into "1 gold coin" and "1 gold coin" but not when I sell a variety of silver coins.
#3 there is an extra space in the link. "(_Sell similar item)"

For what it's worth, I don't get that bug. Windows 7, Chrome

Yep, please. I can't get bitcoins out of bitmit fast enough when I sold stuff and you can't be interested in holding them neither. If this auto-cash-out was not instant but twice a day for example, you could even do it from some cold storage, decreasing the amount in your hot wallet.

Edit: Wow! I'm impressed how there are some serious sellers now. I feel very tempted to buy green lasers, arduino boards and all kind of stuff.

Here's an English tip:

"Coins & Bullions" should be Coins & Bullion.

'Bullion' is a mass noun, it can be singular or plural.

A little question on conversion rate: how they're calculated? Seems a sort of daily average, but I've noted that often there is a big difference from €/BTC rate of bitmit and the ones of mtgox: today for example the value for bitmit is near 4% lower than the mtgox last price, and near 0,7% lower the the daily average. For $ the price are more correct: less then 1.5% from last mtgox price and exactly the daily average.
I think that, especially when price have fast movement like in this days, having the BTC price changed every few hours can be better: if price rise quickly the buyer loose some money, if price drops quickly is the seller that loose money

We use the weighted prices of bitcoincharts.com, http://bitcoincharts.com/t/weighted_prices.json . We fetch it every hour.

Weighted prices are calculated for the last 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days. If there are no trades during an interval (like no trade within 24 hours) no value will be returned. Prepare your code to handle this cases!

THank you very much =)

I want to cancel a deal because the shipment is not arriving.

How can I do this?

Go to the "order page -> Order options -> Cancel order & request refund"
If the seller has not viewed the order you will get it refunded instantly. Otherwise you can contact me and I can give you an instant refund too if the seller has not shipped the good.
