I was trying 8191 and 8193 - nothing has changed.
I even switched AMD drivers to 13.12 - still nothing. I also upgaded the vertminer to the 0.5.4pre.
I've got enough for today, I don't sleep because of the VTC ; )

I'm leaving it with -I 13 - g 1 --threads-concurrency 8192 --> at least I will have about 295 kH/s.

: (

btw pkjames you should probably erase your personal data from this screenshot ; )

Here are my settings,

I have 4 R9 270's running on Vertcoin BAMT, GPU 0 & 3 are Sapphire R9-270's and 1,2 are Asus. Is 170kh/s optimal for this card? Ive played with a few settings and cant seem to find a higher stable sweet spot. Note the Asus have been undervolted to 1.1v  the 0,3 have stock voltage ( looks a bit strange)

I am running all this on an Asrock 970 Extreme 4, 8gb ram ( went out and got more thinking it would make a diff, )

GPU  Temp     Load   Rate           Accept/Invalid           GPU FamilyFan% (rpm)   Core   Memory   Power
0   72.0 c   99%   170 Kh/s   248 / 0   0.00%   200 Series   57% (3180)   945 Mhz   1400 Mhz   1.188v

Below is my cgminer config

When mining Vertcoins I have found it is very important to use the right Catalyst drivers, so please post OS and driver version with your settings.

I have been struggling with my hashrates, but just as an example I have 5x R9 290 (in two different systems) under Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.

With stock speeds, intensity 17, tc 24550, w 256
Catalyst 14.1 gives around 250 khash/s
Catalyst 13.12 gives ~300 khash/s
Catalyst 13.11 beta 9.5 gives ~400 khash/s

So, if you feel you are stuck and have tried everything - don't forget to try different drivers as well.

Thanks for you suggestion, however I find quite hard to find the 13.11 beta 9.5 drivers for linux in the net, they disappeared after realising the new beta.

EDIT: I tried 13.11 beta 9.55 nothing changed, apart from not starting with -g 2 at all.

Hey guys I'm having trouble getting my 7950 vapor-x higher than 160 kh/s. Have tried running with -g 2 but it automatically disables 1 thread. I also can't seem to be able to run vertminer (neither 0.5.2 or 0.5.3), when I run the .bat it closes instantly. So I'm stuck with cgminer for the moment.. Any thoughts? Win 7 x64, 4gb RAM, Sempron 145

@bullus I tried your settings exactly but I keep getting artifacts on the screen and only 220k hash rate.. Can you please tell me which drivers are you using, which operating system and how much ram?

I have sapphire dual x 7950 and getting very bad results. One time I got it up to 250k hash rate but then I wanted to improve it but I just fu*** it up Smiley .
My setup is e6400, 3gb ddr2, sapphire dual x 7950, catalyst drivers 13.1, windows 7 64bit

Just ordered 4 gb of ram, hope that will fix it.  Does anyone have any suggestions? Intensity can't go above 13 or it doesn't start, thread concurrency can't go above 10000, or it will say gpu 0 failure

what could be the reason of vertminer 0.5.2 and 0.5.3 not working? the cmd window closes as soon as I run the .bat file. Has anyone had a similar issue?

Hey guys I'm running a 6850 and only getting 80Kh/s when I should be getting around 125Kh/s. When mining other cryptos I get 250Kh/s. My settings:
Quote
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 200
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
del scrypt*.bin
COLOR 0A

vertminer.exe --scrypt-vert -o stratum+tcp://us.bitcrush.info:3444  -v 1 -I 12 -g 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 6144 --auto-fan --temp-target 73 --temp-overheat 77 --temp-cutoff 88  --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-powertune -20,-20 --gpu-memclock 1100,1100 --gpu-engine 900,900 --thread-concurrency 4300

Yes of course. Your worry is not how many cards you connect to your board (and for mining it will be just as good on PCIe 1x port as on 16x port). Your worry is if you can power/cool all of them :p

7950 has 1792 shader units, so try setting --shaders 1792 and experiment with a thread concurrency that is a multiple of that, i.e. 3584, 7168, 8960 etc. Also try updating to a newer Catalyst driver set. I got better results on Catalyst 13.9 than the old 13.4 or something I had first.

Why are you specifying two --thread-concurrency settings? I suspect the last one will be used, not the first one.

Anyone else having this problem: http://imgur.com/zr9K0CT

I got Burfius Vertminer-GPU compiled and it runs, but the above is all the display I get.  I don't get the typical cgminer menu and display.  Compiled and running on Xubuntu 12.10.  This guy is the only other guy I have seen that has this exact problem: http://www.reddit.com/r/vertcoin/comments/1x55q9/cant_get_vertminer_to_display_information/

Here's my rig:
MSI Z77A-GD65
Celeron G1610
4GB RAM
2 x Asus R9270-DC2OC-2GD5
1 x Sapphire 100365BF4L R9 270 2GD5
3 x GIGABYTE GV-R927OC-2GD R9 270
2 x EVGA 750G

I'm running Vertcoin BAMT v1.0.5 from here: http://www.reddit.com/r/vertcoin/comments/1x9fd1/vertcoin_bamt_v150_aka_someone_had_to_do_it/

920/1400MHz, I=18 -> 195kh/s
920/1400MHz, I=20 -> 201-203kh/s
1050/1500MHz, I=20 -> 226kh/s

I've run them 48 hours at the first setting without any crashes though there is an occasional hardware error, usually right at the start. I've run them at the third setting but the fan speed on one of the Asus cards went to 93% and a Gigabyte card got sick. I haven't had the time to tweak per card settings so I use the third setting when I'm not at home.

All six cards are undervolted to 1100mV. The 3 Gigabyte cards and their risers are powered from the second power supply. It draws 430W at the first setting, 438W at the second, and 480W at the third. All measured using a Kill A Watt meter. Temperatures are 69C with fans around 20-40% in my 19C basement.

I don't set the thread-concurrency value but the .bin file is always 14144 which seems to be working. I did try many others before I let cgminer decide for itself. I wish I would have done that to begin with.

My setup for all cards is:
Code:
"auto-fan" : true,
"gpu-fan" : "0-100",
"temp-cutoff" : "95",
"temp-overheat" : "85",
"temp-target" : "70",
"intensity" : "18",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"shaders" : "0",
"api-port" : "4028",
"gpu-dyninterval" : "7",
"gpu-platform" : "0",
"gpu-threads" : "1",
"gpu-engine" : "920",
"gpu-memclock" : "1400",
"gpu-powertune" : "0",
"log" : "5",
"no-pool-disable" : true,
"no-submit-stale" : true,
"queue" : "1",
"scan-time" : "60",
"expiry" : "120",
"scrypt" : true,
"shares" : "0",
