Thankfully I was able to get BAMT to recognize temperature and fan settings properly for vertminer. Here is how i did it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=404364.msg4983378#msg4983378

If it helps anyone out there:
xfx DD R7950 = 375k/h-380k/h Hits 380k/h-383k/h with primary monitor off... Temp= 73C fan sits at 47% 0 REJECTS 0 H/W after 2hrs
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 200 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 vertminer --scrypt-vert -o pool:port -u user -p pass --lookup-gap 2 -g 2 -I 13 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 6912 --auto-fan --gpu-fan 30-75 --temp-cutoff 90 --temp-overheat 85 --temp-target 72 gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1070
Hope this helps -J3TW4V3
I tried this and got a lot of HW errors on my XFX. got a picture for proof? GPU0: 7950 GPU1: 280x still working on config 26hr mining results with my current config https://i.imgur.com/4NpvZ38.jpg-J3TW4V3

I can't get over ~280Kh/s on my Sapphire 7950 Dual X with any of the combination I have tried so far.

What is REALLY funny is so far the cheaper brands are performing better with vertminer than the expensive brands.

Hi, I am running Vertminer 0.5.3 on Xubuntu 12.04. So far no problems. Only one thing that bothers me is that Vertminer is not showing overview of hashrate, fan speed, temperatures, etc. as usual but I get screen of "running" text where actual hashrate is sometimes shown at the very bottom. http://s15.postimg.org/7zfhl1rrf/vertminer.gifDo you have any idea what is wrong? Thanks for help. Do you have libncurses5-dev installed? I installed mentioned lib but unfotunately with no efect. Any other idea? Is there someone who runs Linux rig who can share experiences? Thanks. I got it working by overwriting the binary with this http://vertcoin.org/downloads/vertminer.tgz It's on vertcoin frontpage. Version is 0.5.2.

I copied that binary to my linux server, but nothing happens when I run the command. What's the syntax that I should use? I was using ./vertminer -o stratum+tcp://s.la.vertcoin.org:3333 -u user.name -p xxxx But like I say, nothing happens. I installed the SDKs as instructed from the main page. Is there a way to ensure they are installed and working correctly? Thanks

GPU0: 7950 GPU1: 280x still working on config 26hr mining results with my current config -J3TW4V3 That indeed is impressive, especially for an XFX card! I see you both overclocked the GPU-Engine and the GPU-Memory. Maybe that's the culprit here as I'm running 1150/1250 (stock = 900/1250), which definitely seems to get me the highest hashrates on NORMAL scrypt coins. I guess Vertcoin is a totally different story.....

I upped my XFX DD 7950 (TDKC) to 1070/1500 from 1040/1495 (running -I 20 and TC of 21712) and I now hit about 315 kh/s. I tried J3TW4V3's settings and was greeted by lots of HW errors....
I even disabled the other 2 cards in the system and run just the XFX and they didn't go away.

Try J3TW4V3's settings again but reboot your miner completely before testing, worked wonders for me before! Here they are with a small adjustment: (Made fan speed go up to 100%) --scrypt-vert -o pool:port -u user -p pass --lookup-gap 2 -g 2 -I 13 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 6912 --auto-fan --gpu-fan 30-100 --temp-cutoff 90 --temp-overheat 85 --temp-target 72 gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1070

vertminer 0.5.3 on windows 8.1, one thread because the card only has 2 GB. ~160 KH/s ~160 WU. Computer has 8 GB ram. At going rate, ~1 coin per day.
Only 160 kh/s?? That's like 1/3 of what i get mining scrypt with my 270x. I can't justify putting it on VTC if it takes that big of a hit. My 7950's were almost exactly 50% of their scrypt hashrate with no messing around, 33% is just not going to be worth it. I was able to get as high as 223 kh/s on the 270x but HW errors eventually appeared. You are not taking any hits, everyone is getting 50% hashrate. Doesnt matter what your hashrate is, its an arbitrary number anyway. It onyl matters when you compare it with other's hashrates.

Exactly, that. Try rebooting the hardware completely, and see what the results are. Also, you could try deleting the .bin files so it builds new ones. You never know!

Azure Vertcoin Pool - DDOS reisistant P2Pool Nodehttp://cryptopool.cloudapp.net:9171/To connect to this P2Pool node simply point your miner at:URL: stratum+tcp://cryptopool.cloudapp.net:9171Username: Your vertcoin address Password: Anything Sample configurationcgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://cryptopool.cloudapp.net:9171 -u VbNPoxNeiNg6Bj9RwjjS4GazDbKLgUqNDP -p XFast facts1. 2. When any p2pool worker on any node finds a block, everyone on all the nodes gets paid their share [/center]
So if each block takes 50 minutes, I spend 40 minutes mining in between two blocks, I get paid nothing? What if I join the 49th minute? Do I get paint 1/50th x my hashrate? What if I was part of the pool for days and leave on the 49th minute, I get nothing? You should add pros and cons so people understand.
