Mike, I emailed you twice about getting more info from you about if anything can be done for an order that shows it was delivered, but was never received.  I hope to hear from you soon - any additional info about tracking or delivery confirmation - or anything at all - would be a great help.

Sometimes their equipment misreads my return address as the recipient address. The mail arrives in my mailbox. I cover up the barcodes and send it again after sharpieing the destination country in, and scribbling on my own address so postal OCR can't read it. The tracking will show delivered...it was delivered to me. Stupid I know. I had 3 of those this last week. if one was yours (international order with tracking number starting with LJ) it's on it's way.

The reason I have a tracking number is because you provided it ... and the tracking shows that you shipped it to me, and that it arrived.  However, my UPS Store (where I rent the box it was to be delivered to) swears up and down that if they had received it, it would have been put in my box.  They don't have it.  USPS tracking says it was delivered. 

Now I'm out 5 BTC because no one seems to know where the coin actually went.

You sent it to me, CryptoCurrent LLC, and the tracking number was delivered to me by an automated stamps.com email from you.  Priority Mail, delivery confirmation, no signature.  I will email you again, but I'm not sure why you aren't receiving them.

I wanted some community input on this just for fun:

I'm at a point where I have a 1/2oz silver coin die done that says 5 BITCOINS.  But 5 BTC is now worth a hell of a lot more than it was when I started.

I almost want to start over and do 1oz=1BTC 1/2oz=1/2BTC and a smaller coin for 0.1 BTC... all in silver, and offer each (at least the biggest one or two) with the optional gold plated B like I did last time.

Do I run some coins with the 5 BITCOINS die, or just scrap it?  It will seem kind of weird having a 5 and a 0.5 BTC coin that are, well, alike in every way, including the year 2013, and I'm tempted to just scrap the die.

I think you should scrap the old plan. Parity with Ozt silver weight is perfect.

it's been a wild ride

set USD aside to rebuy bitcoin as i sold these off for paypal/cards....when bitcoin was between $10-$20

had a hard time keeping up with btc value so high and coin demand! moving dollars from paypal to the bank to another bank where i could buy bitcoin from


(knock on wood) no paypal fraud. lots of new btc users buying their first bitcoin with paypal



hoping to get the chance to start back up. the first 200 went much faster then expected

needs to be sales set aside to known resellers though! not people looking for rolls of 100 to put away in their safes. of my 200 i resold every one even the "circulated" ones i kept in pocket back when it was worth $15 as a conversation piece

I agree, that does seem weird.

Have you done any prototypes of said 5 BTC coin?  If so, could auction them off as collectors items and just leave it at that.

I suggest you just wait another month when 1 BTC = 1 oz of GOLD!!

That cannot happen, since OZ to BTC is fixed, in disregard of the dollar.
can you use the die for a gold coin?

silver coins:
1/2oz = .5 BTC
1oz = 1 BTC
2oz = 2 BTC
5oz = 5 BTC
10oz = 10 BTC

silver bars (these could be coins as well!)
500g = 15 BTC
1000g = 30 BTC

gold:
1/20 oz = 0.5 BTC
1/10 oz = 1 BTC
1/4 oz = 2 BTC
1/2 oz = 5 BTC
1oz = 10 BTC

A precious metal coin to me is strange when the face value is BTC, and pot metal could do just as good a job (instead of value = BTC + Silver + gold leaf - cost of separating Au & Ag + min(current premium, original premium). 1 oz = $27 of silver; If BTC drops 90% you could have coins worth more in metal than BTC. If you think silver is best to make them hard to counterfeit while easy to authenticate...

One Bitcoin is even a crazy coin now if the price doesn't pop, they've gone from USD $10 to $2 to $265 (now $234), it could be a new top-coin with the gold/silver design - for the same or lower BTC price premium as past 1BTC; a 1BTC looking as sharp as your avatar would be awesome just for the press picture.

Someone bought the $7000/1000BTC gold bar though, so there might still be a (fraudulent only?) market for a 5 BTC ~$1250 value.

I may be in the minority, but I prefer lower denomination base metal Casascius coins before PM Casascius coins. The PM coins seem too gimmicky to me.

I have 2 questions.

Do you publicly disclose how many coins are out there (or how many you plan on making) for each year? If so whats the numbers?

Also,

Since you stopped accepting orders on your site, is there any place to order thats in the US?  Seems like all the places are overseas, and really don't want to mess with auction sites.
