Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Hello I have been having problems withdrawing some monero, have already submitted ticket:
#4432 COMPLETE:ERROR
Not a big amount, but please fix, first time having problems with poloniex :/

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=609520when an exchange kills a coin, it should follow a protocol:suggestions: - give enough time between announcement and death
- alert the users, preferably by email (not everyone is daytrading)
- a mailinglist that users can subscribe to might help, to be informed about important events
- cancel all open orders of that coin, put them back onto balance
- keep the balance reachable for a few more weeks, to allow for withdrawal

This exchange is really a piece of crap for trading monero. Deposits dont show up. WIthdrawals always error. If you're looking to become cryptsy no 2, well done. |
