I don't think DASH should be compared with any other crypto currencies. DASH has its own strong features, and strong use cases. The coin has huge communities around the world. Especially from my observation on DASH project last two years, since 2018, DASH has expanded its communities widely and solidly in Latin American nations, besides some traditional nations of DASH, the USA. and Canada. I do believe that just within next less than 2 years, those nations and huge communities there will boost DASH demands in total to its new all time high. Where there are demands, price will increase. All time high demands, will cause all time high in price.

I know dash has great features, a community large enough to be developed, some of the information that it is one of the coins binance us will list, everything was enough to evaluate dash's value in the market but investors are probably interested in new altcoin, they like new locations, dash is too old and no longer noticed. It is very clear that a lot of altcoin is welcome and invested by the community while the old altcoin has a long-standing background, investors have started to withdraw capital, the value is declining, Dash needs to be stronger before it's too late

Litecoin is a failure, and it has not yet actually started the race with DASH in privacy features. DASH, once again, will be the top of altcoins in privacy features, and in the race to bring more convenient experience on privacy for DASH enthusiasts. U.S. Federal Reserve Announces FedNow Instant Payments to Rival Cryptocurrency

The United States Federal Reserve announced their intent to enter the instant payments sector with FedNow, which will be open 24/7, but is not going to be launched until 2023 or 2024.

Instant Payments is actually nothing new for the U.S. Federal Reserve since they currently operate FedWire, which is a real-time gross settlement funds transfer system, but is only open five days a week, only available to accredited institutions, is more expensive, and is not available on mobile phones. FedNow is intended to address these shortcomings, being more friendly to both institutions and consumers and more competitive with current private alternatives.

Walmart Files Cryptocurrency Patent Joining Facebook’s Libra in Challenging Bitcoin

The uproar caused by Facebook’s proposed Libra coin hasn’t died down yet, and a similar intention by retail giant, Walmart has emerged.

A filing published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office at the beginning of August reveals that Walmart filed an application since January 29 2019 to patent a method for creating a coin that runs and records transactions on a blockchain. In the application, Walmart Apollo LLC requested to patent a digital ledger similar to the one powering Bitcoin.

Despite CEO Claims, Dash Isn’t Really the ‘Most Used’ Crypto in Venezuela

“Dash is the most used cryptocurrency in Venezuela,” said Ryan Taylor, CEO of Dashpay, as he stood on stage last May during CoinDesk’s Consensus event.

This statement has been repeated time and again by Dashpay, hinting that crypto is taking off in Venezuela’s economy.

But after investigating the true uptake of the crypto in Venezuela, this statement – while bold – isn’t quite true.

In 2018, 80 percent of merchants in Venezuela reportedly accepted dash.

Indeed, local sources told CoinDesk that only a small number of projects and merchants are actually using dash. For example, Fabiana Arreaza, owner of the startup Chiringuitos, told CoinDesk

“We’ve been accepting dash for two years. We currently haven’t received any clients using dash to pay for their events. They’d rather use bolivares or dollars,” she said.

Hyperinflation led to the money being useless

Street vendors in Venezuela are weaving baskets from banknotes after 13,000 per cent inflation rendered them practically worthless.
Inflation in the oil-rich Latin American nation has seen the economy spiral out of control, with its currency the Bolivar losing 87 per cent of its value against the euro.
Cash is worth so little there bank notes are often seen littered on the streets.
But street seller Wilmer Rojas has found a use for them.

The 25-year-old is selling origami-style handbags, purses, hats and baskets – all made out of money.

Mr Rojas, a father-of-three, said: ‘People throw them away because they are no good to buy anything.
‘No one even accepts them anymore.

I find it hard to believe the statement in the article from a local source that they rather use their own local currency (bolivares). Then there is the mentioning they rather use dollars, which is
of course hard to get when your local currency (bolivares) is in a hyperinflation state, has strict capital control measures and with the USA having imposed additional sanctions on Venezuela.

Carmen Rojas used to be one of the fortunate Venezuelans who lived off a steady flow of money from relatives abroad, with $150 from her two sons providing enough cash to last a month.
Today, she’s lucky if that amount gets her through the week.

Luxuries like trips to restaurants and the movies are long gone. The 65-year-old homemaker gave up meat and now mostly eats arepas -- a corn patty staple -- with lentils and beans. The owner of

What i do believe is that our Dash merchant numbers may decline even more after an audit, which i find not much of a surprise as globally the merchant listing numbers were already

This all does make me wonder if Bitcoin is doing any audits on their reported figures of adoption world wide (not just Venezuela) and how credible Coindesk's "local sources" really are.
What this Coindesk article reminds me of is that of a quickly written article intended to discredit Dash with regards to adoption in Venezuela, while neglecting to take into account the hyperinflation
thats rampaging there.
