I do not trade, I am a long-term investor

Same here. Except for the occassional mn payment convertion to fiat.
Some of Dash deposits on exchanges go surprisingly fast, even without InstantSend enabled on them.

Hard fork will be able to fix the scaling, or only through the creation of new coin?

Each blocksize upgrade will need to be adressed in code and most likely first voted upon by the masternode owners
(who also voted on the 2mb blocksize increase). I'm not sure if such a code change equals a hard fork, i think it will
just change a certain code in a certain file.

The possible changing of the protocol towards implementing extremely thin (x-thin) block propagation will most likely need a hard fork.

Talking about scaling fix, looks like Bitcoin has its own problems with its scaling solution : https://coingape.com/lightning-networks-vulnerability-exposes-users-loss-funds/

yes, possibly. It means changing protocol from current block propagation protocol to another (x-thin ?) block propagation protocol.
I assume that will need a spork / hard fork / mandatory update at some point, if thats the direction that Dash is taking at that (future) time.

Hard forks are handled through sporks with Dash.

why not do a hard fork now? We love cars that can drive 300 kilometers per hour despite the fact that we go several times slower

If a lot of people would really want this, then Dash has the option to poll its network and see if there is a majority for it.
This is how the 2MB blocksize increase got approved in the first place : https://www.dashcentral.org/p/2mb-blocksize

Someone can put up a proposal for 5 Dash and masternode owners will then vote about the changes you have in mind for Dash.
However with the necessity missing for such changes (as Dash blocks are nowhere near full), such proposal has little chance of passing.

Some desperate developers try to "sell" that more transactions per second is the only way for a project to succeed. And I think (and i am glad DASH devs think the same) this is nonsense. Like your 300 km/h car in a 80 km/h road in a little town.

We have PrivateSend, InstantSend, ChainLocks, governance, Self-Funding budget, etc. and working hard for the real adoption in South America. I am very proud of the work the team is doing.

We will have more tps when needed. As @qwizzie said this is something the community can decide and implement very easily.

You now say like this: why do you need a large apartment, you do not have children yet, but if they appear, then maybe we will change it to another. The Fund exists to buy expensive equipment and maintain a network . Or have you run out of coins in your Fund?

I want a nice apartment at once, so the Windows were on different sides for ventilation, to wait and to believe the promises not very interesting

In my opinion, one of the most promising and undervalued projects to date. A very strong development team that uses advanced developments in its blockchain.

Yeah, this has been a brutal, protracted, unjustified winter.

betamax was better in quality than VHS, AMIGA computers outperformed PCs in the 90s quality and ended up disappearing.

I am in Dash because I see it as a currency with great features, but we have to admit, like it or not, that there are currencies that we consider with lower features but that are offering better returns in the last year (BTC, LTC, Monero .. .)

In the long term we will all be dead, so for me, after living so many years involved in all kinds of investments, I must admit that the most intelligent Dash holders  were the ones that sell above $ 1000. Or they changed their investments to BTC

For me, the Dash Core team does well, and I justify their work, but it is clear that at the investment level we do not have the best currency in recent months.

Greetings and good luck.

Yes, it is brutal and protracted winter for altcoins, but it is not unexpected. Almost from beginning,it is quite obvious that most of the coins have highly centralized wealth distribution. Few major players in quite coordination pull the strings for almost every coin. The lower market cap the easier to manipulate coin value.  When they decide to push coin down there is no positive news or good coin developpment which can prevent it. And the contrary, when they decide to pump coin, every bad news will be put aside or deliberately diminshed through paying people to write positive articles and bots to spread hype on forums and media.

They are playing on emotions of traders(greed when pumping and desperation when dumping),making such bad market conditions that most of people lose its nerves and act recklessly. For every crypto trader it is essential to control his/her emotions if he/she wants to succeed.

One tip - the colder and longer winter , the hotter summer will be after. Wink

It is true. But we, the Dash holders, have a very important window of information for when we lose our nerves, and it is to see that the true holders (masternodes owners ), firmly hold their positions.

Any idiotic mind will sell in front of fear and doubts, but an investor with information will seize the moment to accumulate more.

Think that a new investor manages to get a masternode at an average price of 60K dollars, and that in three years a masternode is worth 600K ... that person will have achieved economic freedom with a relatively reduced investment.

The moment of truth is approaching, and I hope see Dash below $ 60, I will not hesitate to do my homework.

a greeting
