I don't know if anybody has brought this up yet, but I think it would be wise to have Dash users get paid for holding on to their coins. Masternode operators already get paid for mixing, etc But for the average user that doesn't want to take time to learn how to setup a Masternode or doesn't have 1000 coins, it would be nice if they could "lock in" their coins. Once locked in they earn interest on them. Has this been discussed? Would this be a hard fork? Who want want to see this in a future update?

You can buy shares in Masternode's for your DRK/DASH

That's called 'proof of stake' and generally has it's own problems - some basic criticism here but there have been deeper discussions about it: https://en.wikipedia DOT ORG /wiki/Proof-of-stake#Criticism

What problems? I might be able to figure a solution.

One of the big ones is that you can basically attempt double spends with little risk, and there was a second variant where it worked even if you didn't actually control the coins anymore.

A quick walkthrough which isn't too detailed, busy afternoon or I'd hunt down a whitepaper I saw:

There's no hard fork in Dash , we have our 'spork' here  Wink

At least, maybe an sharenode of 500 coin that you'll need to be pair with another one to create an masternode and split revenus

Anyone know which logo is the current leader in the voting.... 1,2,...,8 ?

View results at https://www.darkcoinfoundation.org/vote-logo

atm #1: 67%, #7: 51%, #8: 24%

Though I'm confused, in the darkcoin talk thread #1 shows arrows inside the S, which spoil it for me, whereas the vote page shows it without the arrows, have they been dropped? If so it will be one of my two votes, thanks to anyone who can clarify.

What about this:

Say you have 100 Dash. And you want to earn interest on them. You send your 100 Dash clones to a Masternode operator that is looking to start a new Masternode. These clones expire after a certain time, let's say 3 months. That means after 3 months the Masternode automatically sends the clones back to your wallet. Once the clones are back you can spend your Dash that were locked.

Not sure how this could be done: Dash into Dash clones, only Masternodes can send Dash clones back to your wallet.

Who would run the daemon 24/7?

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

Who would run the daemon 24/7?

Your wallet always needs to be online for this to work. Either thru a mobile phone connected to a network or on your computer with internet. But wait, i'm thinking about to make this 24/7 without having to be connected yourself.

I know Dash innovates, but 142% total votes is very innovative  Huh

lol, well spotted.

atm #1: 42 votes, #7: 32 votes, #8: 15 votes

Also I see that the S arrow question is being addressed here, not sure but looks like we are voting for the non arrow version of it:

Ah yes, here it is:

He is quick to call scam but invested any ways.

Well theres no other way to say it but the truth, I mean I'm not going to lie even though I am invested as you say, market wise as well, though I just ride out the dumps and get ready for the pumps. The usual speculation daytrading. Theres no explanations for the instamine other than extreme incompetence or a deliberate scam.

Being invested doesn't mean you have any faith at all, I have faith that others have faith in this crap so that's good for daytrading.

OTOH, yes we are questioning the winning logo with the arrows. The actual voting page displayed option 1 without the arrows, so that should be taken as the winner. I'm sure Evan will agree, but if you lend your voice, I'm sure that would help... Grin

I think I just figured it out boys!!! Hit me with questions.

How to earn interest on your DASH:

- You sell your 100 DASH inside your wallet turning them into Dash Clones. 1 Dash is worth 1 Dash clone always.
- Dash clones are temporary(you set the time) and can only be converted back into real Dash from the same wallet that created the clones.
- You send your Dash clones to a Masternode operator who runs these clones 24/7 and both the operator and you earn interest.
- Dash clones can only be converted back into real Dash inside the same wallet that created them.

Did you sell those domain names by the way?

To other users on bitcointalk yes.

OTOH, yes we are questioning the winning logo with the arrows. The actual voting page displayed option 1 without the arrows, so that should be taken as the winner. I'm sure Evan will agree, but if you lend your voice, I'm sure that would help... Grin

Cool, thanks Cool

This is what I posted on the Darktalk thread about it:

I voted for #1, but only if it doesn't have the arrows in it, otherwise I'd like to cancel my vote and choose #7 which I also voted for.

Also the percentages seem to be incorrect in the results so far.

Having #7 & #8 in the same line up may divide the vote for this logo, the graduated colour would be better chosen afterwards or not, it's more a variety of the same logo imo.

Oh, ok.

Are you selling any Dash domain names?

Too early, none for sale right now.

Read what I said, less than 2% of all those who own a computer have Linux as their operating system. Your excuses to try and cover up the issue don't work for that simple fact. Don't bring in hypothetical, If's. Just the simple fact of making mining Linux only clearly showed the intentions of a scam, not mentioning the various other problems that happened later on. There's no other explanations.

Less than 0.000000000002% of all those who own a computer have mining software installed either. What was your point again?

Are you stup... <snip>

Yes, I'm sure that voice of reason will be taken into consideration, thank you. I think that Evan is busy right now with the latest version testing, but we'll sort it out soon.

we are heading ATH 0.027 guys hold tight

I had a dream the other day, when it was 0.011 that it would go 0.0134... and it went... (actually it went beyond that).

Today I had a dream of "0.036".

I tend to dream things like that, but they usually have varying degree of accuracy. I've also dreamt of 18.000$ btc in 2016 a few months ago - if that happens it'll be pretty interesting.

Now, if DRK is around 0.05 by that time, we could be seeing 1000$ DRKs...

In terms of fundamentals, DRK needs to capture just 2% of BTC's marketcap (2016) of such a 18k BTC scenario (~250bn market cap) which would make it a ~5bn coin / ~5mn coins in circulation => ~1000$/DRK.

Yeah, tell me about it!  I bet those DASH domain names were insta mined. Right?

Yep, and the domains had initial 500 coins per block, then I cut them to under 100, and I cut the max coin supply from 80milion to 20million after I mined 2million coins, just to make me uber rich like what Evan did to DASH.
