Anyone up to share a bit of the wealth?   Smiley

XwVMQ1ziNLWHywe1pEyGpK8CEF4TpPcwzL

After looking at several cryptocoins, I finally realized the obvious: there's no point in those emerging coins other than for the dev or lucky miners to get rich thanks to it. Sadly, it's like that for almost all the coins and it's like a flood.

So now I was looking at better stablished coins, and I looked deeper into this one. DarkCoin has a pretty cool concept, it's the first of its kind (anonymous) and also has an awesome 0.00% premine. That alone is a strong feature. The way to go is to keep pushing and promoting this coin, and I'm up for it. Needless to say, anonimity and decentralization is the straight point of cryptocurrency, so I think this one just hits the nail there. Also nice community around here.

AIRcoin are going to use DarkGravityWave - They chose it as the superior solution over Digishield. Good job Evan!

Please  Roll Eyes

Again?  Ugh!  Please, anyone who is mining at Coinmine.pl, please move to another mining pool?  Lotterymining is a great pool that I can recommend, but I'm sure they're all wonderful!  just please stop using coinmine.pl because they consistently have more than 50 % of the entire hash rate!!!

thank you!!!

Adam Back tweeted Darkcoin
Adam Back tweeted Darkcoin
Adam Back tweeted Darkcoin!!!

@adam3us
"DarkCoin seems to be bitcoin fork with a multi-hash PoW and a p2p CoinJoin impl.  DarkWallet does the same thing with BTC?"

I invited him to join the discussion (still trembling)…

@eduffield - perhaps you should connect with him…

I tweeted at him without knowing who he was, then looked him up... Like anything I said was of any value to him!

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

Going to put a run of these together if there's enough interest. If I get 15 orders I can get these to US residents for $23usd (payable in BTC or DRK, can use Moolah for Escrow), non-us residents we just need to figure out a shipping surcharge.

Sizes are up to 4xl

If you want in, shoot me a PM or email me at my handle name @ cointrepid.com

EDIT: Design updated to include website text

UPDATE I've had a few requests from folks in Europe, it seems most European countries would add $10 to the shipping, so shipping to the EU is available for a total of $33 (countries I've checked so far are the UK, Germany, and Belgium)

Canada only adds $5 to the shipping, so for Canadians it would be $28

We're almost at the minimum, just a few more orders needed.

I'm going to start reaching out for shipping information and payments, and will buy a few extra shirts just to get the order in which i'll put up for sale after the fact. Any one else interested in getting in on this buy please PM or email me ASAP.

Last Call.

FYI to all those who have ordered... the order went out to the manufacturer last night and I will re-ship on their arrival (quote for that was 2 weeks, april 3). Where L and XL were very popular sizes I ordered an extra of each. If you would like to purchase one of those extra's PM me.

Darkcoin has done something really impressive by making a coin distribution strategy that no other cryptocurrency can claim to have implemented.  It ultimately does have a limited supply. New coin generation (and inflation) will gradually taper off over time at a stable rate of 7% annually. Compare this to the much sharper 50% drops every 4 years in bitcoin.

Additionally, the darkcoin block reward still adjusts on a block-to-block basis due to difficulty.  Maximum:25, minimum 5.  If the network hashpower is too low, the payout increases as an incentive.  In the long term, it is incredibly likely that added network power will simply reduce the reward rate to 5 DRK per block.  This results in the projected total number of coins reaching approximately 22 million over the time frame shown - slightly more or less depending on how quickly hash power is added.

I suggest that coastermonger's charts be put on the first page.  Charts are good for the visually inclined (er... like me, LOL)

I'm pretty sure we're gonna hit the lower end of that here soon when everyone abandons the scrypt ship and jumps into our boat, but oh well...

Now we really have to stick with it.

Hi guys, tried to use Sgminer to mine Dkcoins but only get 45-47 khash/s with my Gigabyte 6850

Here is my .bat file:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx DISPLAY 0
sgminer -o stratum+tcp://drkpool.com:3333 -u xxx -p xxx -I 18 -g 1 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 6144

Using Catalyst 13.12 and SDK 2.9, installed sgminer as listed in the readme file except for the "source code" part which was not so clear to me.

Any idea?

You need a special sgminer 4.10, not any sgminer. By the look of your work units (it should be in the 0.0xx range) you are probably not using sph-sgminer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.0

For reference, my 6850 can get ~1050 KHs @960 MHz.

You should also use -k darkcoin when mining darkcoin. (that could also be at fault because you don't have that in your command line).

Hi Alex, thank you for your quick reply.
I downloaded the sph-miner and it's now working. Since you have a 6850 card, could you please post your bat or config settings?

Seems to me that alot of people dont really care about the coin, or its future, by sticking to a pool that has more than 50% of all the hashing power, they are sending a bad signal to potential interrested users/investors

I have learned about the world of crypto. I really like it, but i dont see a lot of woman/girls in this world.
I heard about Darkcoin and its really interesting. I think it will have a bright future and think more people will buy it in the future and will be sorry that they didnt bought it at this time.

I also want to ask female cryptocoin traders to send me a pm. I'm working on a article about female traders in the cryptoworld to wake up the woman so they know they are not the only one. I only want to ask some questions. It can be anonymous.

DARKCOIN THE BEST!

XofhB9BS3ahwTQmaLgzWbWHf64czuSeRgn   If you feel free to donate some DRK i would be verry happy with it.

If you feel you want to donate some btc i would appreciate this a lot. 1DxECQy9mVp2rBbCiaz5VhfgE8rbLzP8j4

lotterymining is my own pool, but i really dont care where you mine, the most important part is, we need to get it leveled out more, it doesnt look good when its one pool that has more than 50%.

Watch the difficulty.  Maxcoin gained quite a lot of miners yesterday when the price started being pumped because the devs are halving the coins next week.
