What does everyone think of this as a new website design?

http://darkcoinsample.hostoi.com/

Needs more info, wallets, etc but happy to do it asap

promising beginning imo. lovin' that binary light tunnel Smiley

maybe buzz words should be shorter and more simple, and include Darkcoin, e.g:

ANONYMOUS BITCOIN
NEXT GEN CRYPTO
ENCRYPTED LEDGER
DARK SEND
DARKCOIN
BECAUSE NUMBERS DON'T LIE
(chinese chars)
*german
*french
*spanish
etc

Why not include some cool chinese chars too (chinese word for 'anonymous' perhaps)
http://www.btc38.com/statics/images/altcoin_ad/DRK_ad.jpg

+ words for anonymous etc in major foreign languages.

PROBLEM: Many people  incorrectly think that bitcoin is anonymous. The messaging must convey the fact BTC is not and that DRK is.

Whether we say Bitcoin 2.0 or "true digital cash" or "more private/secure than bitcoin",  this key difference MUST be emphasized

im getting into this… Smiley

I put together my opinion on Darkcoin in a separate section so it could be discussed. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=523467.msg5801959#msg5801959

Generally, I think Darkcoin is a partner to all alt-coins so that they can all access anonymous transactions with their own coins. Darkcoin can become a conduit and payment gateway to e-cash. Just my thoughts, that's all. Maybe it helps with some ideas for wording and branding.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Just for everyone to be up-to-date:
Haubi is crashing.
Seems there are bad restrictions coming from the central bank of china, namely:

At 18:22:51

China's Central Bank on March 18, issued, requiring stop all bitcoin transactions prior to April 15.

http://live.sina.com.cn/zt/l/v/finance/globalnews1/

=======

If such restrictions come into effect, china exchanges will likely close down... but in the longer-run Darkcoin might become the only crypto which Chinese will be willing to use (though still being illegal)...

There is a design content for a X11 logo, the idea is to create branding for X11 to be used on a site covering it and make it more of a real thing in people's mind. GPU miners need to know that there is a good alternative to Scrypt as Scrypt ASICs are coming and look to dominate. If we get GPU miners to move to X11 coins then this will be one of the biggest wins we can have. If nothing else then please bump the thread below to get some attention to it.

I have spoke to Evan about this contest and he is happy for me to progress with this and push X11 adoption.

Hirocoin - New unique feature just added. We will be the new home for GPU miners when those Scrypt ASICs hit.

I'm a very bad graphic designer, but I suggest a logo that is like the "Intel Inside" branding - "X11 Inside".

It worked wonders for Intel, and positioned its brand as "If it's not Intel inside, I do not buy it..."

FYI, http://q30.qhor.net:7903/  P2Pool node is back online.

@chaeplin: The xcoin_hash pythom module does not work in debian 7.
I had to modify the p2pool-drk server software to use the old (good working) dark_hash plugin.

Have you deleted 'xcoin_hash/build' directory before 'python setup.py build' ?

dark_hash is copy of original xcoin_hash which python module name is 'quark_hah'.
I just changed python module name from quark_hah to dark_hash.

I did nothing.

I don't get it, which one is a clone of which. And it doesnt matter, just saying that the dark_hash module was (and is) working very well, so I simply dont understand why you replaced it with a broken one. The xcoin_hash module requires some strange glibc versions which are not available in debian.

"do python setup.py install"

I copied xcoin_hash.

Coinmine.pl >>>>> This will impact the confidence in Darkcoin.

Can everyone email their support.

EDIT: how much of this is being caused by multipools or big rigs / whales switching to mine maxcoin?

Anyone tried mining with a 7990? Any good? I have one used for CAD work, but at night.......
I have four 7990:s hashing.

Mine are doing around 2200Khs per core / 8800-9000Khs / card.

edit: i run 2x7990 on 1x Corsair rm 850w without problems. I have two identical setups.

Are you sure you can run both cards incl. all other ( motherboard, fans, HDD etc.) on 850 W.

Only my two cards using 1000w if the are stressed on 100% minging LTC

Is there a difference using the X11 algo by mining DRK and scrypt coins like LTC?
Yeah my two rigs with 2x7990 have been running fine for two weeks now on 850w each with system including ssd:s and so on. They would probably pull around 400-450w each on regular scrypt, X11 is really grate.
I now have a couple of rigs running 5x280x on 1200w without problems. I am pretty sure six cards on 1200w is possible.

what is up with the difficulty of this coin? I watch it jump from 468 to 368 and back within seconds. Is there a multipool on it?

and the price seems low with such high difficulty

Hi,

I know it's not the good place but here it's like my home, and nobody answers eslewhere. All wallet work the same so one question :

What happen if a transaction got 0 confirmation :
Status: 0/unconfirmed
Date: 10/03/2014 23:58
To: fYHBV59dpPx1LBCWsVuwrYwVcGvDBmHTwS
Debit: -999.999 FAC
Transaction fee: -0.001 FAC
Net amount: -1000.00 FAC
Transaction ID: 94a954a634deeb6dd0b84d162101624b1a655bee27146d06bad475bd6b7e1617

This was sent 10 days ago....

The 1000 FAC leaves the sender wallet and never arrive in receiver wallet... Where are the coins? In the cosmos?
They shouldn't returns in the sender wallet?

All this to buy more DRK  Roll Eyes

if i wasnt on the boat, i could help you out, but downloading source for another wallet is going to take days from here, but try the following:

delete everything, except wallet, delete the wallet app too, redownload start up the wallet, let it resync, stop wallet app, copy your wallet.dat to the directory, start wallet app...

Hi,

Thank you but I solved the problem for one of the TX.

It seems that I was little impatient.

I run the resendtx in the console and leave the sender wallet client open for all the night, in the morning it was ok...
