It's an interesting exercise to compare the Litecoin "On Balance Volume" with the darkcoin on balance volume and the darkcoin price for the same period.
So to cut to the chase you think DRK DASH has a ways to run ? Care to specify a near term (90 day) target ?

What's even better right now is that I just received 2 MN payments... Working like clockwork. Hope this stability keeps up.

Retest of .0185 coming soon?
You in a rush? and when it reaches, then what? =) BTC just bumped up quickly which typically means alts fall and then play catchup, this DRK rise did not see that a few hours ago which was great! DRK/BTC ratio stayed about the same meaning the USD value got a nice jump... so far this rise has been solid so I see 185 on its way.

That is actually since today. Lite coin is losing its 'special alt status'
It's an interesting exercise to compare the Litecoin "On Balance Volume" with the darkcoin on balance volume and the darkcoin price for the same period. AsideThink of comparing a river and a stream and only measuring the speed of the flow. The two might be the same. But if you multiply the speed by the cross-sectional area of the flow channel, you'll get a measure called the 'volume flowrate' which takes into account how much water is being moved as well - not just the velocity. (in units of cubic metres per second instead of just metres per second). Well, just looking at price is like just looking at the speed - not the volume flowrate. The on balance volume isn't quite like that because it's a bit cruder of a measurement - it simply pluses or minuses the volume to a running total at the end of the time slice - but it does give a volume oriented trend for long term analysis which is quite informative when compared with just price. More info: http://www.investopedia.com/articles/technical/100801.aspObservationsThe first interesting thing to notice is that this indicator gives a more consistent signal than the price. For example, we can see that Litecoin's huge pump back in November 2013 (just prior to the China-driven bitcoin rally to $1000) isn't nearly as pronounced in volumetric terms as it is in price. The Litecoin OBV has in fact been in consistent decline going all the way back the June 2013, despite that November pump. The second interesting thing is that on the OBV chart, Darkcoin/DASH is already above its all time high of last year despite the fact that the price is still a way off it. As stated above, that doesn't mean anything in absolute terms - it's a relative indicator, but a leading one. Notice that when the OBV signal only dropped 30% from last year's all time high, the price signal dropped right back by over 70%. On the recent rise however, OBV has soared almost in exact proportion to the price indicating that there's potentially quite a significant volume driven move afoot. The thing about the OBV metric is that it was invented as a way to detect "coiled spring" conditions in the market where this indicator can give advanced warning of scenarios that have not yet manifested themselves in the price but have in the volumetric analysis. i.e. comparing with price signal, may indicate 'coiled spring' condition. ^^^^ (P.S. "same scale" should read "same timescale") Excellent post about the volume flow rate, and the coiled springs can be modeled like a resonant feedback amplifer set up to be an oscillator, sometimes its a net total of positive feedback and sometimes negative depending on conditions. You visualize this as a mechanical system, I see it as a damped harmonic oscillator in a electronically self resonating amplifier circuit.

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release. Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5% Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1) = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

Just a boring Sunday night that could be livened up by a nice Drk run lol. I'm in it for the long run, running mns. Helping out in testing is fun too!

Anyone have an estimate of what the annualized yield of running a DRK masternode is Figure anywhere from 70 to 90 MN payments in the year. Reward is going to be increasing.. But I'd average around 2.2 Drk. 2*70=140drk on low and 180drk on the high. That's around 800 to 1000 bucks at current price.

0.01757 ?
Double top at 0.0185 and major resistance point - last high before the downtrend period (July-November).

0.01757 ?
Double top at 0.0185 and major resistance point - last high before the downtrend period (July-November). The joker in the pack is what happens to LTC over the coming weeks. It used to be miles away - out of sight. It's not so far away now and they don't look like getting their 3-monthly sugar daddy pump this time.

0.01757 ?
Double top at 0.0185 and major resistance point - last high before the downtrend period (July-November). Feels like it is building a base here around .017 on lower vol which I find positive considering how far it has come recently. I'd look to another slow up trend like we've seen over the last few weeks, with low volatility. Supply side has been a bit unbalanced for a while too https://i.imgur.com/F2SnzcM.pngBut i'm just guessing ...

CULT ALERT - DONT GET FOOLED BY THE CIRCLEJERK OR YOU WILL END UP WITH A LOAD ON YOUR HANDS
2+ million Darkcoin/DASH were instamined in the first 48 hours of launch. Dev tries to make everyone believe it was an accident.
After the initial 2+ million coin instamine, they start using private GPU miners while convincing everyone else it's still a CPU only coin.
What a scam!
Spread the word, research.

In fact it was 500 000 within an hour and 1.5 million in 8 hours. The "48 hours" number is apparently used a lot here as one of the ways to make it sound less outrageous.
