Budgets Are Live dashtalk post : https://dashtalk.org/threads/budget-proposal-promotion-reimbursement-core-team.6006/page-3#post-65239A note about the budget system: https://dashtalk.org/threads/budget-proposal-promotion-reimbursement-core-team.6006/page-3#post-65235I've added the budgets to the system and we are all set to vote. All you have to do to vote is load up a client with the masternode.conf. Your actual funds are NOT required to be online to vote on proposals core-team : eac6392cd0d63e4b2ebd3c60da2d3e13137c892cd4cd1a8f3885077ac86b7487 public-awareness : cbafad18687045bb72fae611078fac09c3ec09c8379e357c36901ce84891f189 reimbursement : 428438998eeb3234b232a3609d2e0f1122049241e5ecad972554ad163772a109 To vote simply execute these commands: ./dash-cli mnbudget vote-many eac6392cd0d63e4b2ebd3c60da2d3e13137c892cd4cd1a8f3885077ac86b7487 yes ./dash-cli mnbudget vote-many cbafad18687045bb72fae611078fac09c3ec09c8379e357c36901ce84891f189 yes ./dash-cli mnbudget vote-many 428438998eeb3234b232a3609d2e0f1122049241e5ecad972554ad163772a109 yes Where exactly do the funds originate from? The MN? Would that mean I am donating my earnings? And what percentage would each MN have to contribute to reach this funding goal? They come from both the Masternodes and Miners : currently its 50% (Miners) / 50% (MN's) per block, after hard fork it will be 45% (Miners) / 45% (MN's) / 10% (Decentralised Budget) See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg12261766#msg12261766 Thanks for that. So if I make a certain amount per month to cover my expenses for running the MN, if I vote to approve all the budget proposals I will have 50% less per block, how many blocks per MN will be needed?

normally the syncing masternode winners stagnate at 75% for some time (could take some 20-30 minutes, sometimes less) when starting the wallet which creates all these messages in your debug.log after 20-30 minutes it then syncs the masternode winners completely. I think there is already a fix in progress on Github about this..
Thanks! I thought that this problem is only on mn wallet I'm working on a patch for this right now. The reason we're having this issue at all is because it only popped up with 3000 masternodes on the network. We need a much better funded testnet for future versions... maybe a budget item could get us closer? Budget item? That's a good idea! (just ask moli )

I see you claim to have made your coin safe and that all other coins based on DASH are 'doomed and will die' https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1098544.msg12269188#msg12269188Did I also see somewhere a while ago you claimed to be the inventor of a lot of DASH technology? I must find the link, i think it was you? Anyways, you know how to contact the core devs of DASH so i guess you either work with them or release the code so that all but your coin is doomed and will die as you have stated. your are correct about of dash technology, i tried to stop it, because of this..

Thanks for that. So if I make a certain amount per month to cover my expenses for running the MN, if I vote to approve all the budget proposals I will have 50% less per block, how many blocks per MN will be needed?
Hi, Just to be clear, what is happening is already in the code of the upgraded wallet. When we hit a certain block, which should be on September 6th, I believe, the payouts will drop 10%. 5% from masternodes and 5% from miners. At that point, the coins are not produced. Instead, budget proposals that are approved via voting by masternodes, will be paid once per month. The payouts can not exceed the 10% rewards that were held back (or really not produced) So when the time comes for the blockchain to pay out the block rewards, the rewards come out as "super blocks" and are paid directly to the project owner. We tested this, and proposals that went beyond the budget couldn't be paid. So anyway, if we don't vote for any project proposals, or if we don't fill (or spend) our allotted coins, those coins are gone forever. So voting yes will not cause you to keep more coins, you'll only ever get 45% of the rewards one way or the other. Essentially, this payment by blockchain system is going to reduce the number of coins mined due to unused (unproduced) coins. I doubt we'll be able to make the blockchain budget available fit exactly to budget proposals approved all the time.

A friendly reminder to all who have Dash stored on Bitfinex, you will have untill 31st of august to move Dash out to your local Dash wallet or to exchange them for BTC. After that date it will be a bit more difficult and Dash trading on that exchange will have stopped.
We had some good times Bitfinex my friend, maybe we will see each other again some time in the future when Dash has grown into its full potential.

While updating the Tao ratio, I noticed the laws of physics are not being obeyed (i.e. size of blockchain has grown by 5 months but the download is quicker) 27th March,2015 : Total Dash blockchain (v0.11.2.10) = 42 minutes 28th August,2015 : Total Dash blockchain (0.12.0.49) = 35 minutes and 2 seconds Download time improvement from Dash (v0.11.2.10) to Dash (v0.12.0.49) = +16.6 % I just gotta redo the timings just to make sure the Tao ratio is what it appears to be, because hard to believe
|
Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release. Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5% Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1) = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update
