cool, the core-team proposal passed the majority of total ratio (currently 50.8%),
lets hope the other two will do so too.

Since some people are saying v.53 is crashing sometimes, i made the 'mn_watch.sh' masternode restarting-script already here on this topic a bit more versatile. Instead of just restarting dashd it now spits out the time it crashed as well as the last 30 lines of debug.log to a file before restarting dashd.

Its kind of redoing whats already been done, but now it nice 'n compact without sifting trough the 10mb debug.log  Wink

1. The script is in my homedir where i keep all the stuff so its written as such. You may need to alter some paths if you keep your stuff elsewhere.
2. The script appends to the file crash.log, if not exist it is created.
3. the command 'date' spits out UTC time. Its possible to alter this to your own timezone. Do a google on it.

Im a noobish linux user so the script may appear wonky, but hey, it works, right?  Roll Eyes
Dont ask hard questions cuz i may not be able to answer them Smiley

#!/bin/bash

if [ -z `pidof dashd` ]; then

echo "Crashed!" >> crash.log
date >> crash.log
echo -e "\n" >> crash.log
tail -n 30 ./.dash/debug.log >> crash.log
echo -e "\n" >> crash.log
echo  "********************************************" >> crash.log
echo -e "\n" >> crash.log
echo -e "\n" >> crash.log

./dashd

fi

I'd rather wait for my coins to be anonymized than wait for the Monero blockchain to sync, because I could write the book you mentioned in that time. Twice.

Not only twice, but you could finish it as a trilogy, provide an extensive appendix and do a 4th part unexpected sequel due to popular demand  Grin

So, since this is the *coin formerly known as drk* thread, dnaleor's comment was on topic. But since you bring up monero sync time, i feel it is fair to point out that your information is MASSIVELY out of date. A while back they started using the lmdb database, and about a month ago there was an enormous merge to the main branch on github that includes absolutely staggering optimizations to how it uses the lmdb database. They haven't released official binaries including it yet, but if you compile from the main branch yourself, the client synchs from scratch in a matter of a few hours, assuming you a have a fast internet connection and a decent cpu. This is not a joke or an exaggeration, from scratch to in-synch in a matter of just a few hours.... maybe you should give it a spin... or not ... but your info is very wrong.

I've seen reports form under an hour (syncing from scratch) from guys with a decent internet connection and a decent computer.

Amen, i guess they are bored in their own forum. Also some people seem to be in the dark about our name-change..... which is remarkable as the name Dash
is clearly visible in this forum.

The price of Dash seems to be re-tracing back to 0.011, I dont see the price of Dash hitting 2USD. Not enough volume to pushed it down to 2USD lvls.

The game is a battle of wits and mastering emotions.

Things in the crypto world can change in an instant.

It would be best to consider why a $2.00 floor was put in under a trading pair that sees very little volume @ Cryptsy.

All i know is that its not Otoh's "floor" which means a second whale has surfaced and is sniffing the air.

Someone pushing the price of Dash to $2

Key indicator of long-term investors trust is the number of Masternodes.

And this number is growing:

(downtrend in the end of August is the V11 -> V12 protocol change)

What about current price... it is quite illusory - It's impossible to buy any significant amount at this price.
If you try to buy any significant amount (even a pair % of whole Masternode network) - it will grow up dramatically.

Current low price is just for some clever people who is accumulating DASH (from miners basically) for the next DASH "round"...

Dash - it is the good possibility for long-term investors, not for those ones who "should have time to sell one more altcoin before it will be ruined". Smiley

I'm sorry that competition makes you so uncomfortable, but perhaps that says more about your own insecurities about *the coin formerly known as drk* than anything else. If incorrect information about someone else's product is stated, expect it to be corrected.

I was re-tracing through earlier posts and notice the post made by Otoh's, seems be another, or new whale interested in Dash past announcements.

I keep my eyes glued to DASH Ninja - masternode list, and indeed, I see an increase of new masternode coming online. A very healthy indicator of people interested in what DASH has delivered.

yeah, who would have thought we would reach these numbers of active masternodes this fast...

The system is working as designed. When a Masternode holder wishes to cash out, he may sell his/her coins on the open market. The buyer of those coins may set up a Masternode of their own and get a say in the DGBB. So, the masternodes are being sold to different individuals, but the total amount of Masternodes is remaining constant.

A very healthy sign, to be sure. This way, the project can be self sustainable, not relying on any one group of stewards to move forward. And volume picks up creating more liquidity for people who want to get into Dash.

With added demand from education and marketing, the price has nowhere to go but up. Private, fast Digital Cash will always be in demand around the world.

Why would such a whale sniff in an area where it cannot feed its appetite?

Good point, i honestly dont know. Why do you think that floor was put there in that Dash/USD pair in such large amount  ?

So, would you say it’s because there is no volume/liquidity? So, the new whale is setting its own asking price?

The new whale might not be sure what would be the proper asking price.
