Seems Trolleros are busy over there  Roll Eyes

They have only one feature -> anonymity.

I wouldn't even call it "anonymity", I'd call it obscurity.

Dash has anonymity.

haha right maestro, sorry  Tongue

Nice one for the cafe, I like the look of your coffee machine, and the 2 most important cryptocurrencies being accepted is also favourable Grin
(I spent a couple days in Istanbul one time when I missed a connecting flight, the people were friendly, food good, colourful markets and big diverse culture, an interesting Capital city straddling the nexus of the East and West, would be cool to go back there again some day and investigate further)

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.
Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5%
Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1)  = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

Just a heads up.

Genesis Mining started selling X11 contracts today and Dash is one of the options.

They are selling 1MH/s for around 24 USD and that is for a year and includes electricity as well.

Might wanna change that image as that shows SHA 256 pricing. X11 pricing would be better

X11 Cloud Mining Now Available from Genesis Mining

Isn't Genesis a cloud mining ponzi scheme? Is there any proof of actual miners (asics or gpu's in this case)? I would hate to see a lot of people lose a lot on this.

as said
i met them in person, big BTC conference in HK, they had videos and presentations,....
seemed legit to me, but i am no miner !
as far as i know they are running some farms in eastern europe and north america
throwing ponzi scheme at them right away seems a bit harsh.

Thanks for the feedback, this seems like the perfect way for me to mine.   We are definitely making progress.

Well about 98% of all cloud mining has been ponzi, even some have rented miners to show off proof. I have heard of Genesis for a long time though, since it sounds like they're still around and kicking they probably have hashing power. I don't know enough to say one way or another but with asics for x11 on the edge of being available this may not be the best thing to invest in.

Which asics are these, can you send info or links? thanks

When are you receiving your USB miners?  Please keep us updated that is really exciting.

This cloud mining doesn't make sense? Even with the best plan (100mh/s) for the price you can buy more Dash than you would mine in a year at CURRENT difficulty & block reward.

Technology Summary
===================
TSMC 40nm - G process

Core Voltage: 0.95V ~ 1.0 V
I/O Voltage: 3.3 V
Core Frequency: 400+ MHz
Number of Pads: 64
Package Type: QFN64
Packaged Chip Size: 9 mm x 9 mm
Transfer Protocol  : SPI
HASHRATE on 400MHz@4Watts : 9M      (Need Fan)

HASHRATE on 300MHz@3Watts : 6.75M   (Need Fan)

HASHRATE on 200MHz@2Watts : 4.5M    (Fanless)
HASHRATE on 100MHz@1Watts : 2.25M   (Fanless)

I have 7 ordered of an explorer version that should ship out Saturday so we should see soon how real they are and how they work.
They are out of explorer versions and I don't know when they will do their first real batch but if they work as described I will be buying more.

Just one comment on the picture you can see it is an Altera Cyclone IV  FPGA chip, which makes a lot more sense for the price. So it is not an ASIC is an FPGA, which I think raises the probability of it being real and working. As investing in an x11 ASIC seemed unlikely to me, this is great and very cheap 39 USD.

Cloud mining never does make sense...these guys are in it to maximize their profits and minimize their risk. It could be a good way to support the network though...maybe.

I am pretty sure that is why their saying is "slow and steady wins the race", with their "life time contracts" it should keep trickling coins in for a few years.

its a one year contract though and there are no maintenance fees.

I thought it sounded ok as GTX 960 for example costs around  200 USD and hashes X11 at 4.7 MH/s or so yet you could purchase 5MH/s for 114 USD and the electricity costs were also included in the upfront cost.

Anyway...regarding those USB X11 miners, I see a price of 39.99 USD and how many MH/s was that for?

Please let us know when you get one and see how it goes.

Yeah I am pretty sure is exactly this FPGA

http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en?mpart=EP4CE6F17C7N&v=544

Which is pretty cool because the price now makes sense, and it also means you dont have to worry about them producing the first "batch" as you can get the chips from digikey right now.   Only they have the code though, but I dont think you have to worry too much about prodcution which is great.
