I think Jeff Berwick interviewing Amanda on Anarchast was sort of a catalyst. My impression is, that many superficial observers (like Jeff) have been watching DASH and hearing about it for a while now, but where somewhat sceptical because of people like Tone Vays who keeps working on ruining his reputation by hyperinflating the term "Scam". Dash is somehow not loved by the "cool crypto kids" so far, because "cool crypto kids" think it is smart to have a crypto with intransparent blockchain because Alphabay. Well, they are in for a sursprise.
Anarchapulco 17 is coming and people like Juan Galt, Trace Mayer and Amanda will AGAIN speak positively about DASH (like last year), so I expect more buyers.

I'm looking forward to the moment when the community realizes who the only actual competitor to Bitcoin is.

I have had two issues with Monero though people.
One is obviously i don't like their anon concept or how cocky they are about it.
And even worse is their behavior..

Their behavior has amounted to incessant centralized puppet control.
See the Jaxx Wallet incident for an example.
Meaning they can and will pull the rug out from you anytime.. because of superior the attitude.

The 'catalyst' was a crossover of the 10-Week and 21-week EMA on the very long range 1-Week chart. It's only the 4th such crossover in 2 years and crossed at 0.015 which is why there is still a lot of strength in the rally at this level since the market was well oversold for 2-3 months towards the end f last year.

The crossover has happened at successively higher points on the 1-Week chart over the 2 year period.

(Note: This is just the coin-to-coin price ratio with Bitcoin which is the most pessimistic measure as it doesn't take into account relative supply increase. Relative market cap against bitcoin has even more gain).

the instamine was real and it was orchestrated to acquire coins for POS masternodes-the most powerful generator of coin. Evan hide it from the public before and after a month after launching Xcoin...and these coins landed in a few hands..

BTW, even when you pump DASH it is still unprofitable to mine...this was the plan from the beginning-why did Evan reduce the total supply/block reward from 84M to 18M? to make the masternodes owners the masters of DASH network.
